Wiltshire & Swindon Community Foundation is seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Donor Stewardship and Legacies to lead and grow our relationships with individual donors. The postholder will build strong, meaningful relationships with supporters, develop a compelling individual giving programme (including strengthening our Friends of the Foundation offer) and legacy programme This role requires a confident fundraiser with strong stewardship skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice.You will be familiar with developing mailed and emailed communications but also with building relationships both face to face and over the telephone with supporters, specifically with older supporters.

The Youth Adventure Trust's outdoor challenge events are a vital source of funding for the charity, and the relationships we build with our participants and corporate partners are more important than ever. This is where you come in.

As our Challenge Events Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our exciting challenge events portfolio.You'll work on bespoke corporate team-building challenges, high-energy industry networking events like the Hike Bike Paddle for the sports and outdoor sector and the Housebuilders Challenge, and our popular open events like the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the Somerset Cycle. 

Challenge events not only enable people to raise amazing sums for the charity, but are also a fantastic way to engage supporters with our work, giving them the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the outdoors and achieve things they never thought possible - similar to our work with the young people on our programmes.

The Challenge Events Manager role is a varied position which would be perfect for somebody who has event management experience. You will be responsible for the full event cycle, from the initial planning, participant recruitment and stewardship to on the day event delivery and post event follow ups. You will be somebody who can spot opportunities, take on a project and run with it. You’ll be an excellent communicator, happy to pick up the phone to chat to event participants, deliver pre-event webinars or create engaging participant emails. You’re self-motivated, well organised, able to multi-task, a strong administrator, a fantastic team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy being outdoors. You should also have some fundraising experience, ideally in a paid capacity but in a voluntary capacity would also be considered.

You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager, who is highly experienced in delivering our challenge events, but needs time to develop new corporate partnerships which is why we have created this new role. You'll also line-manage our Events Fundraising Officer who plays a key support role on the events. You must live in or near the South West as there will be a semi-regular requirement to attend in person staff meetings, visit programmes and join event planning sessions.

About You

You’re a people-person, self-motivated and highly organised. You are as comfortable managing a budget and a CRM database as you are standing on a mountain side in your waterproofs! You’ll have:

• Event Expertise: A proven track record in delivering successful fundraising or challenge events.

• Fundraising Experience: You might be an existing fundraiser or somebody who has taken on fundraising activities in a voluntary capacity. You will need to be able to relate to the challenge participants and guide them on how to reach their fundraising targets.

• Agility: The ability to think on your feet and adapt plans dynamically when situations change on the ground.

• Leadership Skills: Experience managing staff or volunteers and the ability to motivate a team.

• A Passion for Adventure: A genuine love for the outdoors, comfortable in wellies and waterproofs with an understanding of 'the power of the outdoors'.

As Commercial Business Development Manager for the South Region, you'll be responsible for driving the development of high-quality tender submissions. This will include undertaking market analysis and strategic service design in collaboration with colleagues from across the organisation, including operations, clinical, finance and HR.

Key priorities will include:

Project management: leading a project team to produce high-quality, competitive, and financially viable bids.

Bid writing: contributing to the writing of technical responses, implementation plans, and service models.

Commercial modelling: developing costed pricing models that reflect specifications, internal cost structures and delivery models.

Strategic analysis and pipeline development: monitoring market trends, commissioner expectations, and competitor positioning to inform our regional pipelines.

About the Role

• Writing successful funding applications or proposals, ideally in the voluntary or public sector, securing four- and five-figure gifts from trusts, foundations, or statutory sources.
• Managing a fundraising pipeline or prospect list, from initial research through to application and stewardship, using a CRM system such as Salesforce to track progress and outcomes
• Collaborating across teams, particularly with delivery, finance, or impact colleagues, to gather information and develop compelling bids grounded in real-world delivery.
• Producing high-quality donor reports, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations through clear narrative, data, and case studies.
• Representing an organisation externally, such as at funder meetings, events, or presentations, with confidence and professionalism

About the Organisation

This is a brand-new locally run youth charity, set to provide thousands of young people with the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, try something new and feel safe. With community centric values and located in the heart of Grimsby, it will be an inspiring place for young people aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, to enjoy their leisure. The building is due to be completed in 2025.

The Head of HR is a new role for the organisation. Over the last few years, the organisation and our staff team have grown significantly. Caxton Youth Organisation:  

Caxton Youth Organisation is the only specialist youth club of its kind for learning disabled and autistic young people in Westminster aged 11 to 25. There is nowhere quite like Caxton Youth Club; that’s what the young people we work with and their families tell us, and we passionately believe it too. 

Caxton has been around for 77 years, quite something for a small but mighty charity, and our longevity says so much about the importance of the services we provide to ensure young people with disabilities in Westminster are able to advance in their personal development, develop a sense of belonging in our community, and lead independent and fulfilling lives. 

The majority of our work is delivered at our dedicated youth club in South Westminster. Our youth work team focus on young people’s social and emotional wellbeing, independence, employability, creating community and opportunities, social action and health & getting active. All these topics are explored during weekly youth club sessions which take place in the evenings, and young people are supported to attend thanks to our very own Caxton minibus which collects and drops participants home across the borough. During school holidays we run trips, including residential trips, giving our members the opportunity to experience life outside London, and parents and caregivers some much needed respite.

The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

The Role

Reporting to the Secretary to the Royal Commission, the Alumni Manager will lead the coordination and delivery of our alumni strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who enjoys building communities and working in the not-for-profit or higher education sector.

Key Responsibilities

Alumni Relations & Community Building

· Maintain and develop the Commission’s alumni network, fostering long-term engagement.
