Home-Start Hillingdon is looking for a Dad Matters Co-ordinator to join our collaborative, experienced team. This role will work alongside our existing Co-ordinator to grow and strengthen our Dad Matters programme across the borough.
Dad Matters focuses on the first 1001 days, supporting fathers and male carers to build strong bonds with their baby, alongside support for their mental health and access to services. It’s a role that combines direct work with dads and the practical coordination behind the scenes to keep the service running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
Building on the strong foundations of our current Dad Matters programme, you will work collaboratively with our existing Co-ordinator, with a focus on:
- Planning and delivering weekly peer support sessions for dads
- Supporting the development and delivering Dad’s antenatal sessions with local NHS services
- Recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers to contribute to the programme
- Helping dads develop their understanding of building strong parent-infant relationships
- Raising awareness of fathers’ mental health and suicide prevention, especially in the perinatal period
- Supporting the development of a Dad Matters volunteer programme
You’ll be working closely with an experienced colleague, sharing delivery while also taking a lead on planning, organisation, communication and the co-ordination of groups and activities.
This role would be ideal for somebody with experience of working with families or parents, and of planning and running activities, with a genuine passion for supporting fathers to build strong, positive relationships with their babies, look after their mental health and feel more confident in their role. You will be able to engage fathers from a wide range of backgrounds, while also bringing strong organisational, communication and coordination skills to support the delivery of the programme.

About this role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Philanthropy Assistant to join the Charity team here at Alder Hey, the UK’s busiest Children’s Hospital.
The postholder will work closely with the Philanthropy Support Lead to provide operational support and administration for the team, including events, donor meetings and visits, mailings, prospect research, data and use of the charity CRM (Salesforce).

Key Responsibilities will include:
Events
- Support the delivery of events; from individual visits and tours of the hospital for donors, private dinners, through to larger events such as Gala Balls.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and clinicians in the Trust to support, coordinate and plan tours and events.
- Greet and steward visitors to the hospital and guests at our events.
- Help to prepare event briefings for Charity and Trust colleagues, so that all participants understand their role and contribute effectively.
Administration, Processes and Data
- Provide administration support for the philanthropy team ensuring all work is of a high standard, professional and accurate.
- Writing and sending out personalised letters and cards.
- Diary management, minute taking and meeting organisation.
- Keeping the charity’s supporter database accurate and up to date.
- Support with preparing data for philanthropy mailings and event invite lists.
- Use the CRM to support with the delivery of the Mid Value Programme.

The Outreach Money Advice Caseworker will provide specialist money and debt advice to people experiencing financial hardship, with a particular focus on preventing homelessness, sustaining tenancies and supporting residents to achieve long-term financial stability. Working as part of the Exeter Crisis & Resilience Fund partnership, you will manage a caseload of clients experiencing complex financial circumstances, providing FCA-regulated debt advice, welfare benefits advice, budgeting support, advocacy and practical assistance. Recognising that financial hardship rarely exists in isolation, you will work closely with housing providers, landlords, Exeter City Council and partner organisations to address the wider issues affecting people's financial wellbeing.
Using a relationship-based, person-centred approach, you will deliver outreach across Exeter through home visits, community venues and flexible methods of communication, ensuring vulnerable residents can access the support they need.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Specialist Money Advice and Casework
- Deliver person-centred money advice and holistic support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, housing insecurity and complex needs.
- Manage a caseload of clients, providing tailored interventions including budgeting, debt advice, income maximisation, welfare benefits advice and financial capability support.
- Provide FCA-regulated debt advice, including Debt Relief Orders and other debt solutions where appropriately trained, or refer clients to specialist services where required.
- Support clients experiencing fuel poverty through tariff advice, supplier negotiation and practical interventions.
- Develop personalised support plans that address both immediate financial difficulties and longer term financial resilience.
- Advocate on behalf of clients with creditors, landlords, utility providers, housing services and statutory agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
2. Housing and Homelessness Prevention
- Work proactively with clients to sustain tenancies and reduce the risk of homelessness.
- Liaise with landlords, housing associations, Exeter City Council Housing Options and other housing providers to resolve tenancy-related issues.

South East London Mind is looking for a Carers Programme Lead and Facilitator to lead an exciting new programme supporting unpaid carers in Southwark. This role will create opportunities for carers to connect with others who understand their experiences, gain practical tools and information, and build resilience while navigating the challenges of supporting a loved one with mental health needs.
This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring carers have access to the support, knowledge and community they need to thrive. As the Carers Programme Lead, you will mobilise, coordinate and facilitate a programme that combines structured learning, peer support and reflective spaces, helping carers feel better equipped, more connected and less alone. This will include developing and refining a structured learning programme and continuously building on carers’ feedback.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and facilitating a weekly programme for unpaid carers, combining a structured six-week course with ongoing peer support and reflection sessions.
- Creating welcoming, supportive spaces where carers can share experiences, build resilience and prioritise their own wellbeing.
- Developing practical workshops, resources and learning opportunities that help carers navigate the challenges of caring.
- Building relationships with Community Mental Health Teams, carers organisations and community partners to support referrals and engagement.
- Managing programme administration, monitoring and reporting, while supervising sessional staff with lived experience.
- Promoting the programme through outreach, partnership working and community engagement activities.
We would particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience as a mental health carer, or those who have supported family members, friends or loved ones experiencing mental health challenges.The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating groups, alongside experience developing structured programmes and the ability to build relationships with partner organisations and other stakeholders.

About the role
You will support young people who have been affected by child criminal exploitation and missing. You will also work with many parents and carers who need emotional support, advice, information and/or advocacy because their child is being criminally exploited. You will provide a safe and confidential space for them to talk through their experiences and help them to understand their options and how to stay safe. You will be a strong advocate for young people and families, working with them and other agencies to ensure they get the help they need to stay safe, and to reduce the risks of harm they face.
Support families, carers, children, and young people who have been affected by exploitation/missing.
- Deliver national anonymous support via phone, email, SMS, and live chat, working collaboratively with the helpline team to offer a wraparound exploitation support service.
- Promptly assess referrals from police, local authority staff, project workers and children / young people as well as families for service suitability.
- Hold case discussions and consult managers as necessary to assess risk and plan service user support where the risk is heightened.
Speak up for children, young people, parents and carers who are at risk
- Support individuals receiving our service to have their voice heard by the various professionals, carers and family members in their lives.
- Represent the person and the charity professionally and constructively in any context where advocacy is required.
Support parents and carers to understand the service and the wider support available through the charity
- Be sensitive to the distress parents and carers may be experiencing following a child’s disappearance, which can sometimes be ongoing in relation to CCE

About you
Could you bring your expertise in working with young people to support Missing People's Exploitation Service? You will need to have the right to work in the UK and relevant experience, knowledge and skills including:
Experience needed
- Significant experience working directly to support at risk young people and families in a social care, statutory or voluntary sector setting;
- Significant experience of successfully advocating for young people and families to get the support they need from other agencies;
- Experience of assessing needs, recognising risk and implementing safeguarding procedures to safeguard children, young people or vulnerable adults.
