About the role

As Supporter Led Fundraising Lead, you will be responsible for delivering impact through the strategic development and management of supporter-led fundraising income streams, including UK and international challenge events, committed fundraisers and individual fundraising initiatives.

This is a key leadership role within the Community Fundraising & Engagement team, suited to someone already operating at manager level who is ready to step into a senior leadership position. You will lead and coach a multidisciplinary team, working closely with colleagues across fundraising, marketing, data and communications to maximise income, engagement and lifetime value.

You will play a critical part in growing unrestricted income, strengthening supporter relationships and positioning Save the Children at the heart of local communities across the UK.

Importantly, this role offers real autonomy: there is no single blueprint for success. You will have the opportunity to shape and evolve supporter-led income streams, bring fresh thinking to challenge events and community fundraising, and put your own stamp on how we grow this portfolio.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the supporter-led fundraising squad, setting strategy and overseeing the planning and delivery of a portfolio of UK and international challenge events.

• Deliver ambitious fundraising targets by securing flexible income through high-quality events, stewardship and supporter experiences aligned to organisational impact goals.

• Identify and develop new supporter-led fundraising propositions to grow income, increase retention and build brand awareness across communities.

• Influence and collaborate with marketing, data and stakeholder teams to unlock new pipelines and opportunities for growth.

• Champion exceptional stewardship, equipping teams with the tools, insight and resources needed to build strong, lasting supporter relationships.

• Hold accountability for budgets, performance reporting, compliance, safeguarding, and health and safety across the supporter-led fundraising portfolio.

As Helpline Care Navigator (HCN), you will act as the first point of contact for individuals, families and health professionals across the North and North East region.

You will deliver compassionate, person-centred support and clear, practical information via telephone and email, ensuring people affected by PSP & CBD feel heard, informed and supported at every stage of their journey. Alongside direct support, you will actively engage with health and social care professionals, neurology clinics and wider partners to strengthen local awareness of PSP & CBD and enhance referral pathways across the region.

This is a key role in maintaining continuity, quality and momentum within our Helpline service during a period of maternity leave and you will be reporting to the Helpline and Support Services Manager.

Hours of Work & Annual Leave

• 35 hours per week -  this may include working some unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
• 28 days plus bank holidays. Pro-rated for part time role.

The main office is in Milton Keynes, and we have a hybrid working policy with most staff spending one day a week in the office and the remainder working from home. There is flexibility in the arrangements that need to be agreed upon with the line manager.

Key Responsibilities

• To be ‘first point of call’ for people with PSP & CBD and their families living in North and Northeast region including, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear & Northumberland. Providing people with support and information over the phone and via email.
• To raise awareness of PSP & CBD across all health and social care disciplines in the region by engaging with HSCP’s and neurology clinics.
• To provide accurate information in all aspects of PSP & CBD in response to enquiries and signpost onto other organisations where appropriate.
• Ensure a maximum response to all helpline calls, emails and enquires.
• To keep clear and accurate records and statistics of enquires received and actions taken.
• To carry out a maximum number of proactive calls to people affected by PSP & CBD within the region as directed by the Helpline Manager.
• Develop and maintain the existing database of key health and social care professionals and regional services.
• Attend outreach events to build the profile of PSPA services amongst health and social care professionals.
• Work with the Director of Policy and Influencing to identify ways in which services and care can be improved for families affected by PSP & CBD in the region.
• To signpost to PSPA Support Groups and services.
• Liaise with external services to signpost to local support.
• Take an active part in the delivery and planning of information and support events, which may include the possibility of overnight stays and weekends.
• Liaise with the fundraising team to signpost to fundraising activities.
• Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator to maintain and build volunteering in the region.
• To attend and contribute constructively to team and other meetings as required.
• To ensure the implementation of policies, procedures and quality standards as defined by PSPA.
• Contribute to the development of literature and articles for PSPA Matters.
• To undertake any other tasks, by agreement as required, in support of the work of PSPA.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in delivering helpline and/or information and support services
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to listen actively understanding different points of view
• Ability to keep accurate records
• Willingness to undertake training and continuing personal development
• Experience of and sensitivity to communicating with audiences from a range of backgrounds
• Strong IT skills, with experience in MS Office products and customer relationship management software
• Flexible and reliable attitude and the ability to self-organise and to work without direct supervision
• Good communication skills, both oral and written and excellent telephone manner
• Ability to manage difficulty questions, emotions and situations in a calm and confident way.

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of PSP & CBD or other neurodegenerative diseases and/or experience of working in the NHS
• An understanding of Safeguarding and an ability to follow relevant policies and procedures
• Knowledge of healthcare or social care systems.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Lead to run our Inters Group Session (ages11-14) at Oasis@Knights. This is an opportunity to run engaging and informative activities for 20-40 young people aged 11-14 in the Lambeth area, inspiring them to reach their potential and to make a real difference to their community. The successful candidate will be responsible for running these sessions weekly, managing session staff, delivering engaging activities, attending occasional day trips, as well as responding to and reporting any safeguarding concerns. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

1. To lead the delivery of youth sessions at Knights Youth Centre (KYC) and facilitate youth provision in line with the ethos, values and vision of Oasis. 

1. To work and engage with young people (aged 11-14), by delivering planned sessions, activities and occasional trips for 20-40 individuals.   

1. Deliver informal education opportunities and small group mentoring within the identified sessions and the wider community. 
2. To manage and coordinate KYC staff members whilst leading sessions.

· Proven experience in leading youth work provision for young people aged 11-14.

Management and leadership of the PCS Finance Team and the provison of strategic financial advice to the National Executive Committee and other bodies.

Responsible for the management of the compilation and production of all management accounts, PCS annual audit, budgets, cash-flow and financial planning reports and annual reports.

To manage the modernisation of PCS finance system and to work with our providers to introduce digital products to support PCS primary financial accounting management system.

1.People Management

• Manage work allocation and workflow, future planning and support for Finance Team and Director of Central Services

• Ensure resources are optimised to enable good decision-making across each command area

5.Operational Management

• Oversee and ensure the integrity of the unions transaction processing at all times

• Ensure all service level agreements are adhered to by the Finance department, and developed where necessary
• Ensure data protection adherence and finance systems are secure
• Assist the Director of Central Services in managing relationships with suppliers

6. Group and Branch Funding

• Oversee PCS work with Special Member Auditors to ensure the completion of union group and branch audit procedures in line with rules and Finance Committee requirements
• Provide assistance to group and branch treasurers, including training courses
• Provide reports as required for the Finance Committee
• Ensure expenses are paid in line with Service Level Agreement requirements

7. Finance Training and good practice

• Participate in the dissemination of financial knowledge across the union. Organise and participate in periodic financial training programmes for budget-holders, treasurers and members

8. Communication

• Draft complex communications including briefs, reports, business cases, for internal and external stakeholders
• Draft papers, policies and regulations in relation to financial management
• Communicate with members by producing circulars and briefings, and by addressing meetings and conferences etc
• Represent PCS where necessary and liaise with outside professional bodies such as auditors
• Provide financial information as required by other areas of the Union, in particular treasurers, or other bodies

9. Team Working

• Proactively promote team working and collaboration
• Initiate, organise, lead and participate in team meetings as appropriate

Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join a small, committed and experienced team supporting children, young people and families before and after the death of a parent or sibling. SeeSaw is a local award-winning charity, established in 1999 and providing grief support for Oxfordshire families since 2000. 

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with children and young people, and their families. You may have gained experience in a range of settings, but the most important quality is the ability to communicate effectively and to make and sustain supportive relationships with families.

Like many charities, we’ve historically developed our digital framework and footprint organically, with insufficient web and CRM integration and functionality, duplication and data silos; resulting in data management and website functionality that don’t meet all our users’ needs. We’re changing all that by: 

1. Investing in our customer-facing website and data management systems; connecting all our divisions and services, delivering integrated systems that provide a positive customer and stakeholder journey.
2. Developing the next generation of digitally accessible services 
3. Extending our in-house digital capability to support continuous delivery. 

Key accountabilities: 

• Support the Digital Transformation Lead to implement the charity’s digital strategy.

• Coordinate data and content activities, including migration between platforms, to deliver our website and CRM digital transformation programme.

• Utilise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and with current and future digital partners. Use these networks to: 

• embed digital first principles and best practice. 

• Train, coach and mentor colleagues to be effective users of our CRM and website. 

• Progress opportunities to increase our digital capability and integrate digital into our current and upcoming work. 

• Utilise the digital performance assessment framework to monitor compliance with digital and data best practice standards. 

• Assist in maintaining our data security standards compliance, participating in quality assurance activities. 

• Work collaboratively with our external digital and IT partners. 

Essential Criteria 

• Significant experience of website and CRM implementation and data/content management. 

• Good general knowledge and experience of organisational IT systems, including cloud and M365 applications. 

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Able to convey complex or technical information simply and clearly. 

• Experience of IT/Digital supplier engagement. Able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Experience of working in a digital project/change environment. 

• Ability to work under pressure and to respond quickly to changing circumstances and to tight timetables 

Desirable criteria 

• Experience of working in an organisation which uses agile development methodologies. 

• A strong understanding of the National Cyber Security Centre principles and approach and General Data Protection regulations principles, audit and compliance. 

Sands is looking to recruit an outstanding and people-focused candidate to lead our Bereavement Support Services Team. This is a high-profile role which is responsible for ensuring that all those approaching Sands for support receive an excellent service that meets their individual needs, that the quality of support provided remains consistently high and all team members are appropriately managed and supported. The role provides an opportunity to make real change by driving the organisational and team strategies to make the support that Sands provides accessible to bereaved families from all backgrounds within the community, as well as groups at higher risk of experiencing stillbirth and neonatal death.

With demonstrable experience of delivering and managing trauma informed bereavement support services and counselling at a strategic level, you will possess an excellent understanding of grief theory and bereavement support and be qualified accordingly. Additionally, you will have experience of working with and providing services for diverse communities and have a good understanding of their specific needs.

As this role will require you to lead a highly motivated and diverse team who are all home-based, you will have excellent people management skills and be able to support your team accordingly. You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and be able to develop high quality services which remain responsive to the changing needs of external stakeholders. With excellent relationship building skills, you will demonstrate a high level of empathy in all aspects of your work.

A high level of project leadership skills is essential, as is the ability to produce complex statistical reports and analyse data and trends. A thorough understanding of safeguarding in the context of baby loss and a commitment to ensuring excellent practice is also required.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and support a team of support workers to deliver high quality support sessions, supporting individuals with multiple disadvantage who are facing homelessness.
• Manage and administer an effective high-performance culture through regular 1:1s, objective setting and appraisals, providing additional support where necessary to overcome challenges and barriers.
• Support your team to seek out opportunities for knowledge development and skill improvement, reviewing its relevance against organisational policies and budgets.

• Working with CEO/Board to involve senior leadership in cultivation and asks; coordinating donor visits and stewardship events.
• Maintaining CRM pipeline, forecasting, compliance with donor agreements and reporting on performance.
