AWF was established from a legacy left to the British Veterinary Association (BVA) in 1983 and was set up as an independent charity to directly support the veterinary profession, promote best practice and drive improvements in animal welfare

We are seeking an experienced charity manager to coordinate and manage the activity of the BVA Animal Welfare Foundation (AWF), which places animal welfare at the forefront of veterinary knowledge via research, education and debate.

You will have a strong track record of working with a Board of Trustees and associated committees on the successful implementation of a charity strategy, alongside an ability to lead on the implementation of a focused fundraising strategy.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, and work to strict deadlines. Alongside experience of a variety of fundraising activities, event planning, and knowledge of charity governance, this new role represents an exciting opportunity to optimise the unique partnership with BVA and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders to raise the profile of AWF.

Currently there are no direct line management responsibilities but as the charity develops it is likely that line management responsibilities will become part of this role. The role will also involve working closely with BVA’s policy and public affairs, media and campaigns, and marketing and events teams.

This role is pivotal to AWF and will have a lasting impact on the charity.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As we continue to grow, LightEn is seeking a Project Manager, Grants and Partnerships, to support and strengthen our relationships with grant recipients while ensuring the smooth delivery of key projects. In this role, you will act as a central point of coordination—supporting grant-funded initiatives, liaising with internal teams, and tracking multiple deliverables to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet objectives. You will also provide progress updates to the Project Management Director and share insights with key stakeholders, helping to maintain transparency and alignment across the organisation.

Job responsibilities include:

·Meet directly with grant recipients to understand their needs, support their ideas, and help bring their projects to life.

AHF is seeking to appoint 3.5 FTE new Grants Officers to help deliver our core grants and advisory programme across England. These roles have been created following the recent announcement of significant new investment, which will support the expansion of the Heritage Revival Fund through to March 2029. This investment will enable AHF, in partnership with DCMS and Historic England, to provide grants to hundreds of communities across England, helping them bring neglected historic buildings back into use.

The postholders will be responsible for assessing and managing a caseload of projects within a defined area of England, joining an existing team of Grants Officers. They will advise and guide projects through each stage of the project lifecycle, from early viability through to capital works. They will ensure that grants, where offered, are allocated and monitored in accordance with programme criteria and priorities and will work closely with external partners to support shared objectives.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in grant-making and project management, who can work collaboratively as part of a remote team and who can demonstrate a clear interest in AHF’s mission to promote the conservation and sustainable re‑use of historic buildings for the benefit of communities across the UK. Applicants must also have strong numerical and written skills and confidence using common IT and office systems.

We are seeking to fill three FTE positions and one 0.5 FTE position to cover the Midlands, East of England, Yorkshire & Humberside and North East England so we are particularly keen to hear from applicants in these areas. All roles will be home-based.

JOB FUNCTION: To lead the day-to-day delivery and development of the Foundation’s grant-making and charitable partnerships portfolio, acting as a key relationship owner for grantees and charity partners. The role will ensure high-quality stewardship, support, governance and impact reporting across existing grants, while also playing a key role in the design, development of new grant programmes aligned to the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

Earlsfield Foodbank was set up in 2013 and is part of IFAN. We are based in St Andrew's Church, Earlsfield, London SW18 and operate on a Thursday morning. Our team of Volunteers provides food and support to the 300 local "guests" that are registered with us. Typically 70-80 come each week. As food poverty is often a symptom other issues we provide further support on the day. The Home Café which is also based in the Church kindly enables us to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our income is a mix of grants, donations (both cash and food direct) and fund raising events. 

We are seeking a manager who can:

1. Lead the team on the Thursday morning.

2. Promote the role of the Foodbank within the local community to increase the level of donations from individuals and local businesses.

3. Work with the Trustees to secure multi-year grants.

Job Purpose  

Working in a team of three and reporting to the Foundation Director, you will support the effective and efficient grant making of the Goldsmiths' Foundation by managing its Proactive Grant Programmes and administering the Foundation's restricted funds. Proactive grants are closed to open application but are solicited for either regular or one-off grants. This role requires a strong understanding of vocational and technical skills in the jewellery-making, silversmithing and allied trade sector. 

Delivery of Proactive Grant Programmes 

• Support the Foundation Director and colleagues to implement and deliver Proactive Grants Programmes, aligned with the 2025-2030 Strategy. 

• Support the Foundation Director in implementing learning goals for the Programmes, collecting data and working with commissioned learning partners. 

• Manage relationships with charitable partners who regularly receive grants from the Foundation, particularly those working in the jewellery, silversmithing and allied trade sectors. 

• Manage one-off grants that are solicited by Foundation Trustees due to their strong alignment to Foundation Objects. 

• Support The Goldsmiths' Foundation Trustees and Advisory Group and administering its decisions. 

Management of Restricted Funds 

• Administer the Foundation's restricted funds including the Aiden Threlfall Charitable Trust, the Brian Wood Memorial Travel Scholarship, the Miller Fund/Binney Medal (including event administration of the annual Binney Lunch), the Martin Bowes Charitable Fund and The Silver Trust. 

• Manage grant applications and awards from these restricted funds in accordance with their specific terms and conditions. 

• Maintain accurate records and reporting on restricted fund activities. 

• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and legal obligations for each restricted fund. 

Management and Governance of Proactive Grant Programmes 

• Day-to-day management of regular grantees, ensuring effective communication and support. 

• Support the development of appropriate reporting and relationship requirements with regular grantees. 

• Prepare recommendations and reports for the Proactive Grant Programmes. 

• Manage and collate the reporting from charitable partners.

• Support the development of content for web-based stories and social media posts.

• Work with colleagues to identify opportunities for grant recipients to contribute to broader programmes and the promotion of charitable activities.

​You’ll be part of a team of Funding Officers, led by a Funding Manager, responsible for our grant-making activity in a geographical area or thematic approach. There are eight place teams in Scotland each covering a different geographic region with between 4 and 8 Funding Officer’s in each team. We also have a small number of thematic-led teams with a country-wide brief. Funding Officers work on grant-making activity within specific boundaries and are the main point of contact for all grant-holders and applicants in that area.

​Alongside our place teams, we are also recruiting staff for our Scottish Land Fund work. The roles (one permanent and one fixed term until 31st March 2027) will initially be attached to the Scottish Land Fund. 

Role Expectations

You will provide advice to prospective applicants, assess applications and will be in regular contact with grant-holders as they progress with their projects. Your recommendations will guide decisions on awarding grants and how we support grant-holders. You will contribute to learning and evaluation of our work, outreach and stakeholder engagement in your area of interest. You will ensure that our funding responds to the local context and our commitment to equity and inclusion. You will be expected to challenge yourself and colleagues to continually improve the way we work.

You will be responsible for understanding how an organisation’s ideas align with our funding priorities and making good judgements about when to take an application further or when to signpost to alternative opportunities. You will be able to communicate clearly and concisely your recommendations about who and what we fund. Your natural curiosity combined with a genuine interest in people and projects in your area will enable you to try new approaches and develop your understanding of what works. 

During your first few weeks of on-boarding with the Fund, in person training will be delivered in our Glasgow office. After the initial training period, work patterns are more flexible. We currently operate a hybrid work model which includes office, community and home working. In a typical week most full-time Funding Officers would be likely to spend a mixture of times in this approach.  Part-time and non-standard work patterns will be considered.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Work with and assist the Research Team in the implementation of The Charity’s strategic goals and research strategy.

· Undertake research related projects to further the aims of The Charity to transform the research landscape to support people in living longer, better lives following a brain tumour diagnosis.

· Support the administration of The Charity’s grant application, monitoring and review processes, including liaising with academic researchers and assessment panels.

· Support the peer reviewing of submitted proposals by identifying expert reviewers for those areas, and ensuring reviews and scores are completed within strict deadlines.

· Organise and attend panel meetings including liaising with attendees and venues, preparing and distributing panel packs, and taking minutes and producing summaries where necessary.

· Monitor the progress of current grants through review of annual reports as well as regular engagement with The Charity’s funded researchers outside of reporting timelines.

· Detailed financial monitoring of awarded grants and maintain accurate records of expenditure.

· Maintain accurate electronic records to track grant applications and awarded grants.

· Respond to enquiries about The Charity’s funded research, research strategy and calls for applications from researchers, the public and colleagues within The Charity.

We are seeking a part-time Finance Officer to support the financial management of the organisation and strengthen our internal financial systems.

Working closely with the Programme Manager and Finance Sub-Committee, the Finance Officer will maintain accurate financial records, support grant reporting and provide financial information to support organisational planning and governance.

Purpose of the role

The Finance (FM) contributes to ENN’s vision through strategic management and governance of its financial resources and budgets.

The Finance Manager is responsible for finance strategy, planning and oversight, reporting, regulatory compliance and aligning finance strategies with organisational goals and operations.  The FM is a member of the management team, provides key insights to support business decisions, liaises with the board of trustees and holds the position of Company Secretary.

About the Role

The primary focus of the Grants Officer is to support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme effectively and to promote, grow and deliver this and other Jack Petchey Foundation (JPF) grant programmes across London and Essex. This role will be responsible for Districts across Essex and act as the lead for specific uniform groups who deliver their activities in Essex.

This is a new role created following a recent restructure of the Grants team. It is offered initially as a 12- month contract (0.6 FTE / 22.5 hours per week) to support the growth of our Achievement Award scheme across Essex, with the potential of an extension, following review and subject to available funding. The working days and working pattern will be discussed with the successful candidate, however, it is worth noting the role will require evening and weekend work, so we are seeking someone who can be work flexibly.

2 Quality Assurance for the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme

2.1 Develop relationships with and support schools, alternative provision, and youth organisations on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award (AA) scheme to operate the scheme to the highest possible standard

2.2 Provide timely support to such organisations to enable them to run the AA scheme effectively

2.3 Implement a strategic approach to conducting face-to-face and digital assessment and monitoring visits to schools and youth organisations in your area on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme, to ensure our funding is well spent and to identify opportunities to improve delivery

3 Administer the Jack Petchey Foundation grant making process

3.1 Ensure accurate records are kept on the Foundation’s database (Salesforce), including up-to-date contact details and records of communication with groups in receipt of or applying for grants

3.2 Approve/authorise payment of AA grants and related programmes in accordance with our policies

3.3 Ensure appropriate grant reporting by schools and youth organisations and negotiate return of funds where a grant has not been used in accordance with conditions

3.4 Proactively manage risk, being alert to potential fraud 3.5 Ensure that clubs and groups receive all necessary materials to operate the Achievement Award scheme effectively
