Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & income generation
· Trusts & grants: Research, write, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.
· Corporate & individual giving: Work alongside Service Delivery Manager and Deputy Service Manager to develop relationships with corporate sponsors and individual donors, creating engagement opportunities.

As Development Manager, you will support the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy for key restoration projects. About the role

Purpose of Job:
Working closely with a Steering Group of senior staff and expert volunteers, you’ll coordinate the modular Christian Environmental Mobilisers (CEMs) course, from helping refine course modules, liaising with expert contributors and ensuring course promotion through A Rocha’s communications, to managing participant registration, scheduling online learning sessions, and helping evaluate impact. The role will report to Andy Atkins, CEO of A Rocha UK and an experienced campaigner and mobiliser.

The Work Rights Centre is looking for a motivated employment law expert to lead our growing training programme, and support the wider development of the charity.
Over the last few years our legal teams have delivered a number of successful training and capacity building programmes to other advice charities and local authorities - from short teaser sessions, to in-depth programmes that walked attendees through the core pillars of employment law over the course of several weeks.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate must have experience of supporting financial process related to donor reporting and project accounting across a diverse portfolio of projects and possess the confidence and collaborative skills to work effectively with senior management.
The successful candidate must be able to combine technical expertise with strong business partnering skills to support decisions that improve organisation efficiency, protect organisational sustainability, and build confidence in colleagues across the organisation.
The candidate must also have experience of project accounting and charitable donor reporting. Knowledge and experience of inventory accounting would be highly regarded, as would exposure to the management or implementation of a project accounting finance system.
MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strengthening financial knowledge and confidence with budget holders through coaching, training programmes and partnership-based support.

- Support financial management of partner grants, including payment facilitation and compliance checks.
- Review partner financial reports and ensure alignment with donor requirements.
Controls & Oversight
- Monitor project-level financial performance, highlighting risks and variances.
- Monthly reconciliation of funding forecast, ensuring that income received are recognised when due.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and donor compliance.
