Endometriosis UK is the leading UK charity supporting those living with endometriosis. Formed in 1981, we offer information and support, for example through our website, information leaflets and webinars, and via our local support groups, Helplines and online forum.  As well as directly supporting those with endometriosis, we work to raise awareness of endometriosis amongst healthcare professionals, the public and the media; lobby for improved diagnosis, treatment and management; and support research. We are looking for an experienced Policy and Campaigns Manager to manage our policy and campaigning work. You will have a strong understanding of the UK political system and how to influence it, and will be confident in drafting reports, consultation responses and working with and disseminating data. You will have worked on health policy before, and will have strong knowledge of how to influence health policy at local and national level.
You must be pro-active in your approach to monitoring the external environment and seeking out opportunities for Endometriosis UK to have the most influence. You’ll be able to work in a small team and understand how we can make the most impact with our limited capacity.

You will be passionate about menstrual health and ensuring patient voices are at the heart of all we deliver, and will be able to turn policy asks into strong campaigns.

 About the role:

This is a pivotal role in our Campaigns and Communications Team, reporting to the Head of Campaigns and Communications. You will be managing the drafting of evidenced-based policy positions (for example analysing research, data and lived experience insight) and work with the Head of Campaigns and Communications to ensure these are translated into effective campaigning activity that drives real change.

You will oversee the integration of policy and campaigns activity, working closely with the Campaigns and Policy Officer, and enabling the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to engage with parliamentary and high-level stakeholder engagement.

About the role

Our Hartlepool Parent Support project is commissioned by Hartlepool Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and perinatal mental health support throughout the region. Support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters. 

We are seeking a capable Perinatal Mental Health Project Leader who is passionate about supporting parents to lead on this project.  This role is home-based but will include travel across the Hartlepool region (expenses will be reimbursed).

Join our passionate team and contribute to the meaningful work that transforms the lives of parents and families. Your role will include:

•Leading on perinatal peer support across the Town.
•Managing the volunteers
•Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hartlepool area and ensuring all services are accessible and inclusive. 
•Engaging with communities through networking with other local organisations.
•The Confidence to network with and occasionally present to local clinical and partner agencies across maternity and mental health sectors to integrate the services into local pathways and build relationships with the profile of the service.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our commissioners, staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.

It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an Parents in Mind Peer Supporter. This requires lived experience. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. 
The role is 25 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This is a home-based role, however travel across Hartlepool will be required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a part time governance and compliance officer to oversee our governance and risk framework as a non-profit regulated by the Charities Commission (England and Wales) and OSCR (Scotland).

You will identify, develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and risk mitigation with the various regulations that we must adhere to such as Charities Commission, OSCR, Fundraising Regulator, Companies House, UK Data Protection and Safeguarding.

As governance and compliance officer, you will deliver high quality, professional and compliant governance across the charity, nationally and in supporting our network of support groups (see About IA) ensuring we comply with statutory regulations, that protect our members and the charity itself while applying best practice principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and documenting a detailed understanding of charity practices, paying specific attention to areas where IA is bound by statutory regulations
• Developing robust policies and procedures that ensure charity compliance and best practice
• Remaining up to date with current regulations that IA is bound by and ensuring any changes are implemented within any imposed deadlines
• Regularly review and maintain policies and procedures auditing your findings to ensure exemplary record keeping following up with implementing changes

Background to the role  

Our Head of People is currently on Maternity leave until February 2027. During this period, we are strengthening the People function and are seeking an HR Officer to support the interim Head of People to deliver effective support while we align our staff and volunteering processes; this role will support both areas with a focus on HR.

Employment Details 

Contract type

Salary

Holiday entitlement 

25 days (pro-rata for part time) of paid holiday per year plus bank holidays. Job Summary - Senior Research Officer

We are seeking a confident and organised Senior Research Officer to join our small but ambitious Research Team. This is a hands-on role with real scope to contribute to how we fund and manage research, and to make a genuine difference to a programme that's helping to save lives.
 

The Senior Research Officer will lead the delivery of our grant funding processes from end to end - managing application rounds, overseeing the active portfolio, coordinating our scientific committees, supporting our research events and leading our approach to patient and public involvement in research. Working in a small, specialist team means you'll also have real scope to contribute ideas, help improve how we do things, and play a meaningful part in the development of the research programme beyond the day-to-day.

This means you will:

• Manage monthly payroll activities – inputs, checks, reports, approvals and secure file transfers.
• Be the go-to person for first level payroll-related advice for managers and staff.
• Work closely with our outsourced payroll provider and HRIS provider to make sure everything runs smoothly.
• Keep up to date with payroll and pension legislation, spotting risks and recommending solutions.
• Process payments, cost of living uplifts and annual increments accurately.
• Liaise with third-party providers (pensions, life, childcare vouchers, union subscriptions, cycle to work and more).
• Audit payroll data and work with HR colleagues to resolve gaps.
• Respond to queries about pay, pensions and benefits with clarity and care
• You’ll also contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement work – because payroll isn’t just about processing, it’s about making things better.

You will have:

You will already have experience working in a payroll environment, giving first-level payroll advice and managing payroll processes.

You’ll also bring:

• Experience using an HRIS (for example iTrent) and strong general IT/data skills
• Brilliant attention to detail – you’re fast, but you’re accurate
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Confidence working both independently and collaboratively
• Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal)
• A solid understanding of confidentiality and data protection
• A genuine commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion

A CIPP Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience) would be great, but practical experience counts too.

• Act as the leading spokesperson for Mary’s Meals in Northern Ireland, representing the charity to churches, schools, local authorities, individuals, universities, and community or business networks.​

• Spend focused time externally; networking, nurturing partnerships and driving growth through representing the charity at events, meetings, faith gatherings, conferences, and civic forums.

• Proactively cultivate, pursue, and develop fundraising opportunities via networking and outreach with the aim of securing support for our school feeding programme.​

• Develop and maintain a robust national growth pipeline, ensuring proactive identification, cultivation, conversion, and stewardship of opportunities.​

• Significant focus on the growth and development of new Volunteer Fundraising Groups in counties across Northern Ireland.

• Line manage and coach a Regional Development Officer, enabling them to become a confident, high‑performing fundraiser.

• Serve as a trusted media spokesperson for press, broadcast, and faith media when required.​

• Work closely with the Communications team to provide compelling local supporter stories, impactful moments, and local activity to showcase.​

About You

This is an excellent entry level opportunity for a capable and proactive individual to advance their career and learn about all aspects of Supporter Care.

Minimum Essential criteria:
• Computer literate with experience using Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel
• Experience of data entry, and understanding of the importance of data quality
• Strong standard of numeracy, comfortable manipulating large and complex spreadsheets
• Available for hybrid working, 2 days in London minimum
