Head of Organisational Strategy and Operations (known internally as Infrastructure Lead) is a senior strategic leadership role within Healing Justice Ldn, working closely alongside the Executive Director to help shape and steward the organisational infrastructure, systems, and coordination practices needed for HJL’ s next phase of development.

The role exists to strengthen the connective infrastructure that enables HJL’ s organisational arms to operate autonomously while remaining aligned, collaborative, sustainable, and responsive within rapidly changing political, social, and movement landscapes.

Rather than focusing primarily on operational administration or hierarchical management, the role centres on developing values-aligned systems, organisational practices, and ways of working that support collective care, adaptability, organisational health, and long-term sustainability. Working across programmes, research, narrative strategy, operations, and leadership, the post holder will support communication, coordination, learning, and organisational coherence across the organisation while strengthening distributed leadership.

This role would suit someone who has previously held senior leadership responsibility across multiple organisational areas within a values-led, justice-oriented, community-based, or movement environment. As a newly created role within an evolving organisational structure, the responsibilities, focus, and ways of working within the role may continue to develop over time in response to organisational learning, growth, and changing needs.

Responsibilities

 Organisational stewardship & coordination

• Shape and steward HJL’ s organisational infrastructure, systems, and long-term sustainability alongside the Executive Director and wider leadership.
• Support strategic coherence, communication, and coordination across HJL’ s organisational arms, including programmes, research, narrative strategy, operations, and infrastructure.
• Develop organisational systems, structures, and practices that support autonomy, collaboration, accountability, adaptability, and collective wellbeing.
• Support organisational decision-making, governance, and ways of working that reflect HJL’ s commitments to disability justice, racial justice, accessibility, collective care, and community accountability.

Infrastructure & organisational development 

• Lead the development and stewardship of values-aligned organisational systems, policies, and internal processes.
• Build and strengthen the connective infrastructure that supports collaboration, shared learning, and coordination across different organisational areas.
• Support organisational learning, reflection, adaptation, and knowledge sharing processes across teams and leadership.

Organisational sustainability & external relationships (Operational sustainability) 

• Work alongside the Executive Director and external finance partners to support organisational sustainability, financial planning, and resource stewardship.
• Contribute to fundraising strategy, partnership development, and relationship-building with funders, collaborators, and aligned organisations.
• Support infrastructure connected to organisational growth, partnerships, and long-term sustainability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across HJL s wider ecosystem of collaborators, movement partners, advisors, and aligned organisations.

Organisational health, risk and resilience (Risk, Resilience & Infrastructure) 

• Identify, map and respond to organisational vulnerabilities, operational challenges and external pressures affecting HJL’ s work and sustainability.
• Support systems and practices related to safeguarding, accountability, evaluation, organisational learning, and collective wellbeing.
• Support the organisation to navigate complexity, uncertainty, conflict, and change in ways that remain adaptive, relational, and values-aligned.

About the Web and Analytics Manager

We are looking for a Website and Analytics Manager to join our digital team. This role will suit a digital and analytics expert. A proactive, supportive and solution focused digital professional who is keen to hit the ground running, enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the team and wider organisation, and is passionate about adding value.

The Website and Analytics Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and improvement of our digital platforms, website and their connected tools. As well as analysis and reporting of results, content creation and more. This person is a technical expert and will play a crucial role in how we develop our digital channels.

Relationship management across the Charity and with third party suppliers is also a key part of the role.

What you’ll be doing

• Day to day ownership of the web ecosystem including royalmarsden org, subdomains, microsites and donation platforms including managing relationships with third party agencies and suppliers to maintain and improve these platforms.
• Work with the Senior Digital Manager to set the strategic direction for our websites and associated digital experiences, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, supporter needs and fundraising objectives
• Manage website improvements and Manage website improvements and performance optimisation work, including CRO, SEO and core web vitals, driving continuous improvement of our supporter journeys and embedding a data led approach. 
• Lead the web team, line managing the Digital Officer and Senior Digital Officer, supporting the effective allocation of resources across the team, coaching direct reports and fostering a high performing team culture.
• Manage the Digital Officer and Senior Digital Officer to deliver relevant, engaging, optimised and audience centred content, landing pages and digital journeys across various digital channels, and overseeing the website content calendar and campaign content deploys.
• Work alongside Marketing and Digital colleagues to ensure our project planners are up to date and website content is in line with our wider audience journeys and content needs. 
• Partner with teams across the charity to understand user and organisational needs, to deliver a range of projects and campaigns, including fundraising campaigns.
• Analyse and interpret website analytics data, communicate results to the wider team and use insights gained to inform and direct positive change. 
• The Website and Analytics Manager also owns the relationship with a third-party agency to deliver improvements to our tracking set up, and ensures compliant, accurate and reliable data collection. 
• Ensure the website platforms are secure, accessible, scalable and complaint with all relevant regulation and legislation.

About you - The successful candidate will need:

• Experience of working on CMS systems, knowledge of headless CMS systems would be an advantage.
• Experience managing digital agencies, developers and third party suppliers.
• Knowledge of UX and digital user journeys.
• Understanding of PPC advertising.  
• Experience of line management  and developing junior digital staff, including coaching, performance management and workload prioritisation.
• Experience of creating content for websites, including a strong understanding of SEO and CRO principles.

ROLE PURPOSE

Sitting within our Philanthropy & Partnerships team, you will play a pivotal role in securing the philanthropic support that makes ShelterBox's work possible. By identifying, qualifying and developing major donor opportunities from our supporter base, networks and wider community, you will help connect more people with our mission to ensure no one is without shelter after disaster.

At the heart of this role is building and strengthening the major donor pipeline. You will proactively analyse data, identify high-potential prospects, uncover valuable connections and work with colleagues across the organisation to create opportunities for supporters to deepen their engagement with ShelterBox. Through strategic prospect research, qualification and relationship building, you will help move individuals from initial interest to meaningful philanthropic partnerships.

Working closely with colleagues across Philanthropy & Partnerships, senior leadership, volunteers and key stakeholders, you will develop and implement tailored cultivation plans that create pathways to giving and maximise the long-term potential of prospective donors. You will support the delivery of bespoke engagement opportunities, proposals and communications drawing on ShelterBox's powerful humanitarian mission, compelling stories and tangible impact to engage diverse audiences and inspire long-term philanthropic support.

You will also play a key role in coordinating the Philanthropy Advisory Board and supporting events and activities that help expand networks, generate introductions and unlock opportunities to engage prospective major donors with ShelterBox's work.

Through strategic pipeline development, relationship building and effective use of data, insight and networks, you will help grow a thriving community of future major donors whose investment enables families affected by disaster, conflict and climate-related crises to access shelter, safety and a foundation for recovery.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a proactive and strategic fundraiser with a talent for identifying opportunities, building relationships and developing a strong pipeline of future major donors.

You will be naturally curious and enjoy analysing data, researching prospects and uncovering opportunities to deepen engagement with existing supporters. Equally comfortable networking with supporters, volunteers, senior stakeholders, and professional contacts, you will be confident initiating conversations, and skilled at connecting people to ShelterBox's work whilst creating meaningful pathways towards philanthropy.

You will have excellent communication, influencing and project management skills, enabling you to coordinate multiple prospects, cultivation activities and stakeholder relationships simultaneously. Highly organised and confident using CRM systems, supporter insight and prospect research tools, you will be experienced in managing and progressing a pipeline, ensuring opportunities are effectively qualified, cultivated and moved through the donor journey.

This is an exciting opportunity for a major donor fundraiser who enjoys opening doors, creating new opportunities, building meaningful supporter engagement and converting warm prospects into committed philanthropic supporters whose generosity will help families affected by disaster.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Effectively manage a portfolio of major donors: developing strong and personal relationships, delivering bespoke stewardship and communication plans to ensure donors feel part of ShelterBox; providing them with inspiring stories, unique engagement opportunities, and strong impact reporting.
• Work with the ShelterBox team and key external influencers, connectors, partners and/or networks to grow and steward the major donor pipeline, cultivating relationships with new audiences.
• Develop a wide range of compelling communications for prospects and existing major donors including proposals, reports, and deliver concise and engaging updates via email, phone and in person.
• Work with the Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, Director of Fundraising and Communications, and CEO to steward to the top high-level donors.
• Working with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to refine and implement the major donor strategy.
• Work closely with the Stewardship and Research Officer and Philanthropy & Partnerships Assistant to carry out targeted prospect research, and develop bespoke and strategic cultivation plans for prospective donors currently in the pipeline.
• Support with the development and implementation of cultivation and stewardship events to deepen donor engagement and reach new audiences.
• Utilise the grant management system when securing restricted income (i.e. tracking pipeline, asks, restricted income secured, reporting requirements).
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) to provide knowledge and expertise in major donor fundraising and the wider ShelterBox team (UK and global affiliates).
• Maximise the benefits of the CRM to create and implement cultivation and stewardship journeys for high-level funders, keeping records updated and following Data Protection regulations.
• Be active in the fundraising sector, know and follow the latest fundraising legislation and codes of practice, seek out peer learning and peer mentoring opportunities, network and contribute.
• Represent ShelterBox as required and always work in line with our aims, values and plans.
• As part of an emergency organisation there will be times when you will be required to work evenings and weekends at short notice in response to a disaster

Main duties and responsibilities

1) Strategic leadership & portfolio growth

· Translate strategy into actionable delivery plans with measurable targets and milestones.

2) Programme oversight, quality & compliance

· Direct and support Improving Rivers Managers to deliver a coherent programme of work across river restoration, evidence, and catchment partnerships.

· Enable cross‑team collaboration (with the Engagement & Learning Team and others) to maximise multiple benefits for people and nature.

· Ensure robust project governance, risk management and reporting. Oversee Health & Safety and CDM compliance and safe systems of work.

· Act as one of the Duty Senior Managers in the weekend cover rota

· Establish and maintain portfolio measurement indices and ensure timely data entry into Thames21 platforms.

3) People leadership & culture

· Lead, motivate and develop Improving Rivers Managers; set clear objectives, undertake regular 1:1s, appraisals and PDPs.

· Foster an inclusive, collaborative and high‑performance culture.  Ensure staff wellbeing and professional development.

· Plan and chair IR team and managers’ meetings. Maintain effective internal communications and knowledge‑sharing (e.g., SharePoint).

4) Finance, funding & organisational development

· Hold delegated authority for budget setting and expenditure sign‑off within the portfolio.  Ensure accurate financial planning, management and reporting.

· Support development of high‑quality bids and funding agreements (statutory, partnership and philanthropic), including large strategic bids and environmental market opportunities by providing technical expertise, programme design and partner engagement.

· Work with Finance and Fundraising to strengthen controls, update relevant policies/processes, and ensure audit‑ready documentation.

· Contribute to whole‑organisation systems, policies and processes that support effective delivery and financial resilience.

6) External relations & advocacy

· Represent Thames21 with senior stakeholders (e.g., Environment Agency, water companies, GLA/mayoral teams, local authorities, eNGOs, funders, corporate partners and the Rivers Trust).

· Build and steward strategic partnerships and alliances that enable delivery at scale and unlock new funding and policy influence.

About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships. 

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.   

Impetus is driven by a shared belief in tackling the barriers that hold back young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in education and employment. Alongside investing extensive financial and non-financial support in our charity partners through our Investment Team we also seek to influence decision makers to design and implement evidence led policy and direct new resources to get young people the support they need through our Public Affairs team. About this role

The Development Director (Philanthropy) provides strategic leadership across Impetus’ philanthropy and stewardship portfolio, with responsibility for relationship management, renewal, growth and selected new business activity. The postholder will work with high-value funders, including corporate partners, trusts and foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.

In 25/26, the Philanthropy and Partnerships team generated £11m in philanthropic income, alongside £2.8m in pro bono contributions. The Development Director will play a key role in delivering Impetus’ growth ambitions, supporting the increase in philanthropic income to £14m by 2029. 

Working closely with the Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the role will translate the fundraising strategy into clear stewardship, renewal, relationship-growth and selected new business plans, ensuring strong donor retention, high-quality engagement and sustainable growth in high-value income.

Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the postholder will oversee the donor lifecycle across the philanthropy portfolio, with particular focus on strategic stewardship, renewal, relationship growth and the effective transition of selected prospects into long-term donor relationships. They will personally lead and support significant six and seven-figure donor relationships and selected funding opportunities, while working with colleagues to ensure the philanthropy pipeline, stewardship plans and account management disciplines are strong.

Working collaboratively across the Philanthropy and Partnerships team and with colleagues across the organisation, the Development Director will ensure a joined-up approach to donor stewardship, renewal, relationship growth and selected donor acquisition, maximising income, partnership value and long-term impact within the agreed fundraising strategy.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Relationship Management & Growth

• Own and oversee strategically significant donor and partner relationships at six and seven-figure levels, ensuring high levels of retention, satisfaction, trust, income growth and long-term value.

As our Bid Writer, you’ll:

 - Research and identify potential funders across Trusts & Foundations, corporates, grant-giving bodies, and other organisations
- Build and manage a strong funding pipeline across both capital appeal and general revenue
- Lead on high-quality, persuasive bid writing and funding applications, from research through to submission
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with existing and prospective funders
- Manage application and reporting deadlines, grant administration and monitoring requirements
-Work closely with colleagues across the charity to understand our services, identify fundable projects and develop compelling cases for support

1. Working closely with the Head of Creative Engagement to deliver HOME’s year-round Creative Engagement offer for young people, schools and communities.

2. Lead multiple Creative Engagement visual art projects, facilitating HOME Young Artists Studio, producing Horizons Festival, curating HOME’s Inspire Gallery and wider Creative Engagement Programme.

3. Be part of working groups and collaborate with colleagues to ensure that the engagement programme links directly to and is part of HOME’s overall programme – as directed by the Head of Creative Engagement or CEO.

4. Embed best practice in relation to working with young people, schools and communities. Prioritise safeguarding and shape an accessible and inclusive programme of work.

5. Recruit, support, contract, liaise and supervise freelance artists and other creative practitioners engaged in the delivery of projects.

6. Uphold set financial processes and effectively manage project budgets regularly reporting to the Head of Creative Engagement.

7. Implement effective project management, with a high level of project administration, manage time and resources and implement effective administration processes in order to produce high-quality and ensure set outcomes and outputs are delivered in a timely manner. 

8. Develop opportunities and shape pathways to careers for young people and communities.

9. Maintain a working knowledge of and participate in regional and national engagement, creative health and visual art networks, to keep up to speed with developments within the sector.

10.  Work with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure work is effectively promoted. Regularly writing copy and providing content for social media and updating the website in order to raise the profile of HOME’s Creative Engagement work at a local and national level.

11. Work with HOME’s Development Team to identify and support fundraising and reporting when needed.

12. Develop and implement an effective monitoring and evaluation strategy for the programme and to provide written reports when required.

This role requires someone with experience in legacy administration and promotion and/or in memory fundraising, as well as excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset. We need someone with previous experience in relationship management and income generation - ideally within a legacy and/or in memory setting - who is able to lead and inspire our supporters and staff in order to generate long term income and awareness for the charity.

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Lead the development and delivery of legacy marketing and in-memory fundraising strategies to drive sustained income growth and supporter retention
• Be self-motivated, independent and target-driven
• Act as the subject matter expert on legacy administration and in-memory giving, providing guidance, training, and mentoring while promoting a strong culture of philanthropy
• Manage all aspects of legacy casework, including complex and contentious cases, ensuring effective stakeholder relationships and full compliance with legal, regulatory, and best practice standards
• Oversee data management, reporting, and analysis to generate insights, improve processes, and support accurate forecasting and long-term financial planning
• Collaborate across teams to maximise fundraising opportunities, enhance donor engagement across channels, and deliver impactful events and integrated giving initiatives

We're looking for a Regional Manager to provide tactical and operational leadership across a portfolio of The Wave Project delivery locations in the South West, ensuring children and young people receive safe, high-quality and consistent Surf Therapy services.

Rather than delivering programmes directly, the Regional Manager enables high-performance through effective management, coaching and development of Project Coordinators, with accountability for safeguarding, quality assurance, finance, partnerships and local/regional fundraising.

The role plays a key part in increasing organisational capacity by providing visible and effective regional leadership and improvements, enabling senior Operational leadership to focus on strategic priorities across the charity.

Work closely with the Head of Operations and colleagues across Fundraising, Finance, Marketing and Research & Impact to support organisational sustainability and strategic ambitions.
