The role
 
Right now, we are seeking a Head of Finance & Resources to join our senior leadership team and help us deliver on that mission. Your responsibilities will span finance, IT and premises and your brief will be to develop and deliver the insights, systems and processes that will enable us to grow and innovate.
 
This is a hands on role combining conscientious oversight, strategic impact and excellent communications skills to engage with and support our Trustee Board, senior leadership and delivery teams.

You will also be:
 
• Professionally qualified, or be qualified by wide experience in financial management
• Experienced in leading a finance and resources function within the charity sector, or able to evidence directly transferable knowledge and skills
• Experienced in preparing financial plans and budgets, against which performance can be assessed, and in supporting sustainable business development/growth with financial modelling
• Experienced with systems, processes and controls of core finance operations including sales administration, treasury, cash flow management, VAT, statutory reporting and payroll
• Demonstrate understanding of the financial reporting requirements of Companies House, the Charity Commission, Inland Revenue and other key financial agencies.
• Be able to provide leadership and management of an outsourced IT services provider
• Be flexible, able to operate independently, collaborate effectively to support and influence Trustees, the leadership team and non-financial colleagues with practical financial insights and guidance
• Be resilient and able to prioritise effectively and work with accuracy and to agreed timelines
• Be highly numerate with advanced Excel skills. Experience with Sage (or similar cloud-based system) would be an advantage

Corporate Parnterships Manager

We are seeking a self-motivated and driven Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on growing and stewarding First Give’s portfolio of high-value funders. This role will focus on developing corporate partnerships and will also support our Campaign Board and major donor activity.

First Give is a small charity, with a growing fundraising team and big ambitions. As GMYN’s Corporate Partnerships and Fundraising Lead, you will generate income from a range of philanthropic and corporate supporters. We want someone who can “sell what we do” and turn leads into impactful partnerships.

As well as building on the existing support and donor network we have, we’re looking for someone who is adept at spotting opportunities and comfortable creating new ones by making speculative approaches by phone, e-mail and in-person.

As an integral part of the Fundraising and Development team, you will work with our CEO and Head of Business Development. The postholder will bring their own ideas to drive the development of new partnerships with donors and business partners.

What you will be doing?

• Build and manage a robust pipeline of corporate and donor prospects.
• Develop, pitch and negotiate tailored partnerships, that deliver income, in-kind support, and engagement opportunities.

About the role

After extensive scoping work throughout 2025, we are launching an exciting project to create a step change in the way we deliver our organisational knowledge, clinical expertise and information to add commercial value to potential customers across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies.  This new role of Head of Commercial Development will own the creation, development and delivery of this work.

Main purpose and scope of the role

This is a pivotal leadership role within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at Medical Detection Dogs (MDD), combining strategic oversight with hands-on operational involvement. The role requires a proactive leader who can inspire a high-performing fundraising team while actively engaging in day-to-day fundraising activities.

As Head of Fundraising, you will lead the development and delivery of MDD’s income generation strategies across multiple streams. This includes rolling up your sleeves to participate in operational fundraising activities, engaging with supporters directly, and ensuring that established initiatives and campaigns are optimised and expanded.

Your ability to work collaboratively across the charity, combined with a strong focus on achieving results, will ensure that MDD continues to generate the income required to fund its vital work throughout the UK.

Strategic leadership and SLT contribution

We’re building partnerships with leading companies across the UK, raising the profile of kidney disease and working with them to make sure that their customer service teams understand the needs of kidney patients throughout the country, working with them to make sure that kidney patients are top priority for their vulnerable customer teams. About the role

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a key role in this growth, managing and securing new corporate partnerships with support from the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Our corporate partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.

Primarily, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships, growing strong relationships, delivering partnership activities, and proactively securing new corporate partnerships, including charity of the year relationships. You'll further support the Corporate Partnership Manager and Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications as needed with key activities within larger partnerships, developing a well rounded understanding of how Kidney Care UK works in partnership.
