About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced research and insight professional to help shape how we use evidence to drive real and tangible change for people affected by breast cancer. With 1 in 7 women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, the insights you generate and coordinate will help us make impactful decisions that will help to change the course of breast cancer, and the lives of people affected.
Sitting in our impact, strategy and innovation team, you’ll play a key role in supporting major strategic programmes. You’ll have dedicated time to lead cross organisational discovery work, guide teams through what the evidence is telling us, and help turn insight into clear recommendations that support meaningful organisational change.
You’ll also support colleagues across the charity with their insight needs - joining the dots across teams, spotting gaps, sharing best practice, and helping build an organisational culture that confidently uses insight in everyday work.
Day to day, this means you might be leading on one of our core organisational insight products (like the Breast Cancer Compendium), coordinating evidence across teams, supporting commissioned research, or helping turn emerging insights into practical next steps. It’s a varied role, balancing longer-term strategic insight projects with timely responses to evolving needs.
About you
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in research and insight, confident working with different types of evidence - from data and literature to lived experience. You’ll be skilled at distilling complex information and turning it into clear, actionable insight that helps teams understand what to do next, and you’ll be comfortable using digital research tools – bringing curiosity about emerging technologies that can help us work more efficiently and inclusively.
You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues across policy, influencing, public health, research, support services, nursing, and more. You should feel comfortable facilitating conversations, presenting evidence and findings to a range of audiences including senior stakeholders. You’ll help colleagues move from insight to action - supporting them to understand what the evidence means and how it should shape their decisions and strategies.
You’ll also be able to take a step back and look at the bigger picture - spotting patterns, identifying gaps and opportunities. You’ll play a central role in helping us strengthen our organisational insight culture, supporting teams to use evidence confidently in their day‑to‑day decisions. Brief role description:
The HR Manager will provide end-to-end, operational and strategic human resources support for the charity's international workforce (excluding APAC). Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and line managers, the role will ensure that people practices are compliant, values-driven, and aligned with our strategy. The postholder will lead on talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, employment relations, policy development, total rewards, and HR vendor management, delivering a pragmatic and high-quality HR service appropriate to a small charity environment.
Main responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Lead on talent and succession planning, along with the full recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, role design, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding with the support of the HR Coordinator
Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and job boards as required.
Work with the Head of Finance & HR on the annual headcount plan.
In partnership with Health & Inclusion lead seek to diversify our staff team in line with our commitments in the Diversity Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP)
Support nominations committee with Trustee Recruitment as required
Support the set up of new international legal entities where required
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through probation, development, performance management, and exit.
Oversee accurate and compliant employee records and HR systems.
Lead on performance management process, supporting a culture of accountability, development, and feedback and development and utilisation of supporting tools.
Manage leavers, including resignations, retirements, and departures where applicable.
3. Employment Relations
Act as the lead point of contact for employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance issues.
Provide expert advice to managers on employment law, best practice, and risk mitigation.
Support formal processes, ensuring fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
4. Line Manager Support & Capability Building
Coach and advise line managers on people management responsibilities and decision-making.
Build manager capability through guidance, toolkits, and targeted training.
Promote consistent people management practices across the organisation.
5. HR Policies, Compliance & Governance
Develop and Implement the annual “People Plan” in line with Sport England Guidance
Develop, implement, and regularly review HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organisational values.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and charity governance standards.
Maintain an external network to stay up to date and abreast of new developments in the sphere of HR.
Support organisational change initiatives, ensuring appropriate consultation and communication.
Provide information to the Nominations and Remuneration Committee as required
6. Total Rewards & Benefits (Including Vendor Management)
Manage the organisation’s total rewards framework, including pay structures, benefits, pensions, and non-financial rewards.
Act as the primary liaison with external vendors (e.g. payroll providers, pension administrators, benefits suppliers).
Oversee payroll processes carried out by People & Culture co-ordinator
Benchmark reward practices to ensure competitiveness within the charity sector and affordability.
7. Learning and Development:
Conduct organisational capability assessment and training needs analysis and develop annual training plan within budget
Design, source, and manage cost-effective learning solutions, including internal training, external providers, pro-bono support, e-learning platforms, and charity-sector resources.
Support the development of managers through targeted people-management and leadership development initiatives.
Manage L&D budgets and relationships with external training providers where applicable.

What you’ll do
As Post Production Manager, you will oversee the Video Team’s post-production operations and line-manage our Video Editors (1 x Video Editor and 2 x Junior Video Editors). You will lead the team in delivering high-quality video content for our platform, ensuring all output meets our editorial standards. You will manage the post-production workflow, support wider projects across the Video Team, and contribute hands-on to editing a variety of videos for the platform.
Your key responsibilities:
Assign post-production tasks to Video Editors and Junior Video Editors, manage the edit schedule, set deadlines, and sign off on edits that meet our high standards. Guide, mentor, and develop team members in editing skills and post-production workflows.
Manage key deliverables from organising footage on Dropbox to ensuring projects are live on the platform.
Manage a diverse range of video content, ensuring stakeholder input is considered while maintaining high editorial and production standards.
Review videos and provide constructive feedback to develop editors and maintain quality.
Ensure videos are on the platform and meet a high standard of quality.
Act as the point of contact for external partners and account teams regarding exported projects, handling any technical queries.
Edit videos, create engaging animations and Motion Graphics (Motion GFX) in After Effects and Premiere Pro, and develop MOGRT templates for editable projects.
Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to by all editors and inform them of any changes.
Guide and mentor other team members in editing skills and post-production workflows.

You’ll work closely with Unifrog’s Content team, line-manage video editors and collaborate closely with directors and producers in the video team. You will also work with staff on our partner-facing teams, as well as with external partners where necessary.

What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. About the role:
This role will develop and maintain relationships with trusts, foundations and statutory funders through updates and other bespoke communications in order to maximise income.
You will create funding applications which result in significant five- and six-figure gifts in support of Sue Ryder’s vision and mission. Monitor and report progress towards income targets and other agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
About you:
• Experience of maintaining relationships with funders and designing and implementing tailored donor care and stewardship plans.
• Experience of researching new prospects and of developing pipelines of activity.

Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project that supports people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, to find a place to live, settle into a home, and feel part of a welcoming and supportive community. Coordinators recruit and train volunteers before matching them with a person referred for support. Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

This role will be the CQC Registered Manager for a women’s-only residential service specialising in providing safe therapeutic environments for those who have experienced multiple disadvantage and those who have experienced past trauma. Therefore there is an Operational Requirement for this role to be fulfilled by a female (determined compliant under ACAS guidelines for recruiting applicants with a protected characteristic to do a certain job).[1]
The role
This role is an operational manager post that requires securing registration with the Care Quality Commission as an individual, and the continued management of a service also registered with the CQC.
You will report to one of five Heads of Operations across the UK who report to the Director of Operations, and you will provide leadership and management to deputy managers (who in turn will manage the staff teams) and a nurse. This role is the figurehead of the service on-site, and balances the ongoing service provision with regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.
Phase one is now complete, the building has been completely refurbished to a high specification and has since opened in Autumn 2023.
Following the launch, this role will be the CQC Registered Manager for this service, with overall responsibility for it, including the programme provided, the staffing, the environment and the care and safety provided to residents.

The organisation
Phoenix Futures has been providing rehabilitation services for over 50 years. In support of the current Drug Strategy in England (From Harm to Hope) and the investment in residential services in Scotland, Phoenix are committed to rebuilding capacity across both countries in the residential rehab sector. In 2022/23 we launched two new residential services (Oakwood Lodge, an Enhanced Therapeutic Community in Derby, and Harper House, a National Specialist Family Service in North Ayrshire), and continue to identify further opportunities to increase provision.
The Ley Community began delivering a Therapeutic Community from its site in Yarnton in 1971 and established a well-regarded service up to its temporary closure in 2019. Joining the Phoenix Group has secured the additional investment needed to redevelop, and join the largest portfolio of residential services in the country. Responding to feedback from across referrers and those who use our services, the new service on this site will provide for women in need of a female-only space to safely and comfortably engage in treatment in a residential setting. Phoenix has a history of providing specialist services, including the CQC-rated Outstanding Grace House, a female-only rehab previously located in Camden. We take the history of both organisations forward into this development and will open later this year with great expectation. You will be key to achieving this, and the ongoing successes of this service.
