Reporting into the Board of Trustees, we are seeking an inspirational CEO for the PDA Society, who can lead with humility and curiosity, empowering and supporting our staff along the journey. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the charity and its staff and volunteers, and will oversee the development of our training products, research and support services, whilst ensuring sustainable growth in impact and income.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a trusted enterprise within the PDA community with a strong mission and a committed, values driven team. The successful candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of PDAers and their families. You will be energetic, creative and bring new ideas for enhancing the charity’s reputation, through nurturing existing relationships and developing new ones to achieve the charities goals. Our ideal candidate will have lived experience of autism, PDA or other neurodivergence although this is not essential.

More about the role:As Fundraising & Communications Manager you will plan and deliver two organisation-wide appeals each year, with a combined income target of £300,000. You will own and grow our monthly donor programme, developing email journeys, digital content and supporter pathways that build a sustainable income stream. Alongside this, you will lead the creation of high-quality fundraising communications - from donor updates and impact stories to campaign collateral and web content - ensuring all storytelling is ethical, warm and true to who we are. 

Location : Jamie's Farm Bath (HQ) preferred but other Jamie’s Farm locations considered

About you:We are looking for someone with proven experience delivering multi-channel fundraising appeals and growing an individual giving or monthly donor programme. You will be an exceptional copywriter, able to communicate impact with clarity and warmth, and someone who understands the importance of representing young people responsibly and with dignity. 

A confident project manager, you are highly organised and able to juggle multiple deadlines, coordinate stakeholders and keep campaigns on track. You are comfortable using data and insight to optimise performance, and you bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.

Known within the organisation as ‘Therapeutic Coordinator’ 

More about the role:This is not a formal therapy or counselling position.As Therapeutic Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our programme delivery.You will oversee the therapeutic aspects of up to four visits from schools and similar organisations per month, providing one-on-one support to young people facing significant challenges. Your expertise will guide both individual sessions and group discussions, fostering a safe space for personal growth. Collaborating with visiting staff, you will ensure each young person receives the care they need, both during and after their time on the farm.

Beyond therapeutic sessions, you will create detailed progress reports and contribute to the immersive farm experience, leading walks, evening activities, and mealtime conversations. This hands-on approach will help strengthen relationships with young people, allowing them to feel supported and empowered throughout their journey with us.

We are seeking a proactive and professional Programme Officer to support the next phase of our Researcher Development programme. Working alongside the Programme Manager, the post holder will support the delivery of one of the four priorities in our five year strategy: “to create an environment that supports Wales’ current and future experts".This is an exciting opportunity to truly impact on the future of higher education and research in Wales. Having received additional funding from Medr, the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research, in support of our new strategy, this role would suit someone with the drive to shape and grow one of our major programmes, and who enjoys working flexibly with a dynamic and supportive team.

We particularly welcome applications in Welsh. Fluency in Welsh is not a requirement of this post, but the ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable and a willingness to learn is essential. 

About the role  

The Programme Officer (PO) will support the delivery of the Society’s Researcher Development Programme, which is already an important feature of Wales’ research landscape.

The PO will report to the Programme Manager (PM), and will work with the rest of our friendly, committed staff team to help ensure the programme continues to benefit researchers at different career stages, inside academia and across different sectors.

The PO will deliver a variety of activities. Their primary responsibility will be running the Early Career Researchers (ECRs) Network. This includes organising events and networking opportunities for ECRs, working with ECRs to ensure this work is relevant to their needs, as well as supporting the PM in developing the overall strategy for the Society’s ECR support and updating the ECR Network membership. The PO will support initiatives tailored for Mid-Career Researchers (MCRs) and assist with the review panels for the LSW Grants. The role also includes creating communications content to highlight the impact of funded projects and supporting the PM with reports for Medr and other stakeholders.
