The Opportunity:   

The Aspiring Professionals Programme Coordinator (APPC) postholder is responsible for supporting the delivery and development of the Social Mobility Foundation’s programme of activities for young people through their S5-6/sixth form and university years.   
The SMF offers in-person and online support and opportunities, so this role will involve providing virtual and in-person support to students and working with employers across the UK.

Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Project Delivery 

• Deliver key projects including recruiting and onboarding students, creating digital resources and student events  
• Support with programme pilots, scoping (and delivering on) new activity   
• Collaborate and build relationships with our employer partners, schools, and universities to support our young people in their applications for university, internships and graduate roles  
• Deliver on allocated events relating to our programme model (university applications, skill development, work experience and mentoring), presenting content to a high standard and in line with the Social Mobility Foundation messaging

 2. Monitoring and Evaluation  

• Follow established procedures to monitor the progress of your work area, using accurate data to inform decisions
• Maintain accurate records across relevant databases, updating data accurately and in a timely manner  
• Contribute to evaluation for key work areas (residentials, events, internships etc), produce high quality evaluation reports where required.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Communicate to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
• Proactively update external partners (i.e. employers) on your work areas, flagging risks in a timely manner with relationship managers
• Manage internal student queries and maintain consistent stakeholder (e.g. students) processes through regular communication

4. Activity Delivery  

• Coordinate planning and delivery of skills sessions, partner events, university visits, and other activities, both virtually and in person across the Social Mobility Foundation’s target cities across the UK
• Coordinate logistics of sixth form and S5/S6 and undergraduate internships, including but not limited to, student selection, liaising with students and employers throughout internship delivery 
• Coordinate and support with the organisation, logistics and delivery of in-person residential programmes for students, including staying on site for day and overnight visits when needed
• Coordinate student services including personal statement checking service and recruitment success service 
• Create digital resources to support all provisions

Ways of working:

• Most of our work is office based, but you will spend a lot of time collaborating with other teams and clients via email, telephone and other communications channels such as Teams or Zoom.  
• This role requires you to attend staff residentials for students on our Programme. This means that during the summer period (Jul – Aug) you will be expected to stay overnight on-site (in the UK - exact location to be confirmed closer to the time) for a period of up to two-weeks, help run the residential and be responsible for the welfare of the young people involved.

Travel:

• Some travel, to other offices and other locations, will occasionally be expected. 
• Please note this role may require some travel during our peak delivery period (February-May) which could be up to 4 times per month.
• Travel and accommodation if required will be covered by the SMF.

Event & Engagement Coordinator 

Remote based in North West England. Please note, the role requires working one day a week in Manchester.

Job Purpose: 

To plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of local events across North West England, ensuring each event is well-organised, inclusive, and engaging for local communities. The Local Event Coordinator will collaborate closely with partners, local authorities, suppliers, volunteers, and members to deliver high-quality, unique and memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan and manage logistics for a variety of local member events, making sure all events are accessible and attractive to both existing and potential members. 

• Liaise with relevant external and internal contacts such as venues, suppliers, CSSC’s ticketing platform, Head Office departments, and volunteers. 

• Complete all relevant compliance work such as risk assessments and public liability checks. 

• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring value for money and accurate financial tracking. 

• Promote events via social media, email campaigns, posters, and local press in collaboration with marketing teams. 

• Manage and grow the North West’s CSSC TikTok presence, including content planning, filming, editing, posting, and community engagement. 

• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of TikTok trends, algorithms, analytics, and best practices. 

• Create engaging, on-brand short-form video content tailored to target audiences. 

• Monitor performance metrics and use insights to optimise content strategy and increase reach and engagement. 

• Stay up to date with emerging social media trends, tools, and platform updates. 

• Show a genuine interest in communications, digital marketing, and social media strategy.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a broad range of high‑level Executive Office support activities, including:

How will I be working?

We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. You will be assigned a base office, with hybrid working offered as standard. This role does however involve regular visits to our head office based on business needs. 

You will engage in regular in person collaboration with your team (as operational appropriate), as well as with colleagues across the wider organisation, to ensure effective operational alignment and to support our inclusive approach to working.

Location:Hybrid working with some travel to Hearing Dogs offices in either Buckinghamshire or East Yorkshire.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.

With a strong focus on values-led, relationship-based fundraising, this role will provide strategic leadership to the charity’s new High Value Events function, bringing a consistent, high-quality approach to engagement, cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events. The post-holder will ensure that events are inclusive, mission-focused and deliver strong return on investment, building long-term commitment among principal and major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and senior volunteers.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a background in planning and delivering high-value fundraising or engagement events generating £100k+. You will have worked with high-value supporters, including high net worth individuals, committees and senior stakeholders, and will have a strong track record of working to income targets and maximising fundraising return on investment. Excellent organisational and communication skills will be combined with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences. You will be creative and proactive, with a collaborative and inclusive approach to work, alongside the ability to communicate impact clearly and compellingly.

Salary: £52,866.48 per annum - £64,614.57 per annum | Salary is offered in line with our pay framework and typically starts at the entry point of the band. Salary increases are considered annually and are subject to our appraisal and performance review process.

Job Purpose:

To lead the delivery of IT projects coupled with managing the impact of the changes.

Provide business analysis expertise to identify and implement solutions, and act as a trusted business partner to ensure IT systems meet the needs of stakeholders.

This role combines project management, change management, business analysis, and strategic collaboration to deliver impactful results.

What your role will involve

Working closely with the head of ICT, you'll help shape the infrastructure that carries CMS forward, by leading migrations, shaping hybrid environments and driving the adoption of modern technologies, while keeping today's systems secure, reliable and performant.

You'll bring real hands-on experience across virtualisation, cloud platforms, networking, cyber security and disaster recovery to work that genuinely matters. And you'll do this in an environment that backs your curiosity, encourages experimentation and trusts you to find the best solution.

You'll also be the person our colleagues turn to as a first-line support partner who delivers a warm, approachable helpdesk experience, and someone who actively empowers staff to get the most from their digital tools through great training and onboarding.

What we're looking for

You're an experienced IT generalist with a broad, practical skillset, and someone who's comfortable holding the full picture of an organisation's technology while diving deep when needed. You may be working in a managed service provider or IT services environment and are ready to channel your expertise into one place, one team and one mission.

It is also a requirement for this post holder to be in sympathy with the aims and values of CMS.

Effro is an innovative dementia project which is part of Platfform for Change. It seeks to promote and support the benefits of physical activity and mental stimulation in slowing the progression of a range of conditions that are under the dementia umbrella. Building on a range of UK and international approaches we work in a person centred, individual way to help people living with dementia to regain a sense of their own identity whilst offering vital short-term respite to those who care for them. Effro offers a range of training and advice to professionals and the public to help them better understand dementia and support those living with it. We seek to train a range of people, with a range of backgrounds including medical professionals, Council staff, social care professionals, paid and unpaid carers. You will be working alongside an experienced training officer who has been part of the Effro project for 5 years who will support you in your role.

Your role will involve taking the Effro approach into the wider community and demystifying the world of dementia whilst tailoring training to meet the specific needs of your audience

Organisation: Museums Association

Salary: £32,313 per annum (FTE £43,084)

The Museums Association (MA) is seeking a part time Policy Officer to play a leading role in developing our policy and campaigns work.

In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to deliver admin support for our campaigns and policy, including Museums Change Lives, Museums and Climate Justice, Decolonising Museums, and anti-racism. You will support committees and stakeholders, help to draft policy papers and support the development and delivery of communication and dissemination plans. You will also have the opportunity to draft impactful content for our website, events and online learning, and respond to information requests to ensure that we deliver for our membership and the wider sector.

You will support and work closely with the MA’s policy and ethics lead, including delivering advocacy across the UK nations and have opportunity to develop a role in campaign areas where you have experience and/or interest.

The ideal candidate will have excellent administration and communication skills; knowledge of the policy-making process in the UK; the ability to research and write accessible, clear policy content for a range of audiences; an enthusiasm for museums and the positive difference that they can make working in partnership with their communities; and will be able to manage multiple individual pieces of work.
