We are seeking a high-performing, experienced, and self-directed compliance professional to provide maternity cover within the Grants, Contracts & Compliance (GCC) department.
This role requires someone who operates with excellence, independence, and sound judgement from day one—a person who is confident navigating complex donor rules, shaping risk‑mitigation strategies, and leading award management processes without needing extensive onboarding. We are seeking an experienced practitioner with proven applied experience, rather than a purely theoretical background.
You will oversee the full lifecycle of European donor‑funded awards, ensuring rigorous contractual and regulatory compliance across Internews. Working closely with colleagues across Programmes, Finance, and Global Development, you will help maintain a culture where doing things right is prioritised over shortcuts.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise with major European donors (European Commission, Sida, FCDO), a proactive mindset, and the ability to lead, train, and influence teams across the organisation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, with other duties upon request:
Compliance
· Review and approve proposal budgets for assigned funding opportunities.
· Review donor agreements and ensure terms are acceptable; support the Director of GCC in strengthening organisational risk‑mitigation practices.
· Advise staff on Internews’ internal and donor rules across the project cycle.
· Work with Programme Officers and cross-functional teams on effective project start‑up, including inductions, adapting award procedures/templates, and ongoing staff training; conduct country visits when required.
· Collaborate with Finance to support successful programme audits.
· Maintain and update organisational data on institutional donor platforms (e.g., EU Transparency Register, IATI).
· Develop and maintain training materials and guidelines for at least one major donor; provide expert compliance guidance across GCC.
· Deliver inductions and training for new and junior GCC staff.
· Set up and maintain complete and up‑to‑date award records in line with donor and Internews requirements.
Development
· At proposal stage, review and approve teaming agreements and NDAs with bid partners.

· Coordinate pre‑award due diligence for prospective donors.
· Review and negotiate donor agreements and modifications, managing associated risks.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Floating Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire. This service will provide emergency accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children.
The post holder will provide high quality support and safety planning to survivors and their children who are fleeing domestic abuse. This includes enabling survivors to access housing, welfare, benefits and legal advice. A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles.
The Floating Support Worker (FSW) will carry a caseload of survivors of domestic abuse to enable them to provide a more holistic and intensive support package. They will work closely with survivors from the point of crisis through to move on from the emergency accommodation. FSWs will work in partnership with both statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure that the whole range of survivors’ needs are met.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

About the role
We are looking for a Programme and Partnerships Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of programme and partnership management systems across all Emerging Futures programmes, ensuring our programme and partnership management systems reflect our commitment to centering equity, power and justice in our work.
In this role, you will assist programme teams in tracking progress, monitoring budgets and gathering information to enable seamless delivery. Working closely with the Programme and Partnerships Lead and the Core team, you will help develop and implement programme and partnership management systems, while collaborating with the Procurement and Finance teams to maintain strong relationships throughout contracting processes.
You will also manage the administrative aspects of commissioning and contracting, ensuring information is provided on time and that partners experience a smooth and efficient process. A key part of the role is managing programme information within Emerging Futures and the wider JRF, working alongside other members of the conditions and capacities team to capture insights and share and embed learning across knowledge systems.
Additionally, you will gather and analyse data about our partners, sharing insights across the team, and scan emerging ideas and practices in programme operations. By identifying opportunities for Emerging Futures to pilot and learn from innovative approaches, you will help the programme remain at the forefront of programme management practice.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management tools and techniques and be able to apply anti-oppressive principles and practices to the design and development of operational systems. You will have experience supporting the delivery of complex projects in fast-changing contexts, alongside a proven track record of successfully managing relationships with external stakeholders who have diverse expertise and needs. Equally, you will be adept at building positive, collaborative relationships across internal teams with different priorities and ways of working.
You will be highly organised and skilled at prioritising tasks, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information and ensuring it is easily accessible to others. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential with a good level of numeracy to understand and convey financial information. You will have excellent skills in IT, including MS Office, Google Drive, online meeting platforms and project management/collaboration tools such as Asana, Mural and Notion.
