About the role

As executive assistant, you'll provide comprehensive support to our two co-CEOs and, where needed, the wider exec team. This is a varied, trusted role at the centre of the organisation, covering everything from calendar management and inbox triage to board logistics and minute-taking.

You'll act as a gatekeeper and gateway between our co-CEOs and the people they work with, exercising judgement and discretion to keep things running smoothly. What you'll be working on

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Project Officer - Mourne Park. The successful candidate will be required to work for the Woodland Trust Northern Ireland (WTNI or the Trust) on the development and through third party management; the delivery of woodland creation, restoration and other forestry operations, natural and built heritage and countryside access projects, local habitat auditing and assessment programmes. They will undertake the successful delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Mourne Park - 500 years of undiscovered natural heritage, to target and budget.

This is a fixed term contract until December 2029.

The Role:

• Lead the delivery of conservation and habitat restoration projects across the estate, including woodland creation, ancient woodland restoration, species recovery and heritage conservation activities.
• Plan, procure and oversee contracts and site works, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Woodland Trust standards, FSC requirements and environmental legislation.
• Drive evidence-led conservation management through ecological surveys, habitat assessments and monitoring programmes that inform land management decisions and measure environmental outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with landowners, partners, agencies and local stakeholders, promoting collaborative approaches to nature recovery and sustainable land management.

Role Purpose

The postholder will coordinate delivery of Spectra’s agreed P3 counselling provision, ensuring that counselling activity, safeguarding practice, monitoring information, outcomes data and partnership communication are maintained in line with the requirements of the P3 service. You will also provide a reflective space for staff at P3, for youth wellbeing coaches to reflect on their work with young people.

Key aspects include overseeing client intake, undertaking client assessments, and delivering short-term counselling with clients (6-12 sessions). You will ensure a high-quality and consistent delivery across the YP counselling service in line with KPIs and outcome frameworks. Alongside client sessions, regular meetings with both Spectra and P3 staff, compiling reports and management of safeguarding concerns.

Increasing referrals and building strong relationships in Hillingdon will be an integral focus, especially in complex cases where young people require referrals or are engaged with other services.

Job Profile

This role will lead CAFOD’s policy and advocacy work aimed at building a fairer global financial system. The post holder will have a solid understanding of contemporary global economic issues, including the global debt crisis, development finance and the workings of international multilateral organisations. Working closely with CAFOD’s overseas partners and within UK and global networks, this role will hold policy expertise on behalf of the organisation. This will involve developing policy positions and representing the organisation externally. The role will work closely with CAFOD’s government relations and campaigns colleagues to lobby decision-makers and mobilise supporters as part of our economic justice work. Sitting within the Advocacy, Policy & Campaigns team, the role is managed by the head of department.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the development and delivery of CAFOD’s global economic justice advocacy strategy 

• Working in partnership with UK and global organisations to develop evidence‑based policy positions 

• Influencing UK, regional and global policy debates on the global debt crisis, and other economic justice issues 

• Representing CAFOD in coalitions, to decision makers, in church networks and at international forums 

• Writing policy briefings, reports and communication outputs 

• Building relationships with external stakeholders and decision makers and UK and global levels 

• Ensuring advocacy is grounded in strong analysis, partner experience and a commitment to social and environmental justice

About the Role

Working within the Finance department, the post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance department with managing the administration of the Finance function.  The post holder is responsible for acting as the first point of contact for suppliers, departments and members through the Finance helpdesk and associated systems.  They are responsible for overseeing the timely response to queries, allocation of queries to others in the finance team and supporting with the administrative maintenance of the systems in Finance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an ability to adapt to changing priorities, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

The Associate Solicitor will conduct civil litigation in Britain and oversee cases in England and Wales. The role requires a qualified solicitor with experience of running litigious cases. We are seeking to expand our work in Britain to include civil discrimination claims, actions against the state, and media law work. The post-holder will have particular expertise in one or more of these areas. Our cases also involve data rights, freedom of information, charity law, education law, international humanitarian law, and defamation issues. The post holder will join a growing team that consists of a Senior Legal Officer, Legal Officer and a Junior Legal Officer. Duties and Responsibilities 

• Conduct civil litigation and advisory casework in Britain alongside our legal team and legal network. Provide expert legal advice and representation, to individual clients and movement partners.
• Provide training and feedback to junior legal staff as appropriate. Collaborate closely with our legal network of solicitors and counsel with the goal of strengthening the wider movement.
• Develop and advance new legal strategies for challenging state and non-state repression of advocacy for Palestine in consultation with our legal network, national partners and experts.
• Support the development of effective advocacy campaigns to increase the impact of litigation outside the courtroom.
• Support ELSC’s outreach and public engagement initiatives. 

Required experience, knowledge and skills 

• 3-5 years + post-qualified experience (PQE) and admitted to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales. 
• Experience leading on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters in civil litigation, particularly actions against the state, media and/or privacy law. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice on complex issues in a comprehensible and appropriate format. 
• An ability to engage with the law critically and develop strategies that serve broader political objectives. Track record of collaborating well with other lawyers, academics and civil society organisations. 
• Excellent client care skills, particularly in relation to vulnerable or marginalised clients. 
• Experience in a role which requires coordination of multiple projects and/or workstreams concurrently, and the ability to manage relationships with partner organisations, coalitions and counsel. 
• High level of English-language proficiency. 
• Commitment to the Palestinian liberation and solidarity movement. 

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge 

• Experience working with campaigning and advocacy organisations. 
• Experience with supervision and organisational development. 
• Understanding of and experience working with a variety of local, national, and international jurisdictions, including those governed by common law or civil law.
