We’re looking for a Targeted Interventions Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in delivering early intervention and prevention support around drugs & alcohol to young people and make a real difference in their lives!

About the role

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity where you will take the lead in coordinating targeted interventions across our Buckinghamshire service. You’ll work directly with young people, partners, and professionals to identify needs early and provide the right support at the right time.

From delivering engaging targeted group sessions to shaping local pathways and building strong partnerships, you’ll be at the heart of making sure young people receive timely, effective support around substance misuse and risk-taking behaviours.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. 

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

• Coordinating and developing targeted interventions, including group work, outreach, and brief interventions
• Delivering engaging group programmes for young people at risk
• Increasing visibility and accessibility of the service amongst children, young people, families, and partners with the aim of increasing referrals into service for specialist support.
• Building strong relationships with schools, professionals, and partner agencies
• Providing training and support to professionals to help identify and respond to young people’s needs
• Using data and insight to shape and improve services
• Supporting volunteers and Youth Ambassadors to deliver impactful work
• Support the development of projects that increase visibility, create awareness, and improvement engagement including development of educational programmes, informative resources, and prevention pathways
• Ensure effective and consistent young people involvement through our Youth Ambassador Programme including coproduction.
• Support the coordination and development of the service’s social media activity.

About you: 

• Experience of working with young people and knowledge of the issues they face 
• Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people and the Fraser Competence framework 
• Have an excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field 
• Knowledge of working with evidence-based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidance 
• An accomplished communicator, both verbal and written with a high degree of personal IT competency 
• Be able to accurately update and maintain records and to work to deadlines for the submission of information. 
• Have excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives 
• Full UK driving license and access to a car.

About the Role & Key Responsibilities

Exceptional Service Delivery

• Lead on ensuring that the day to day operation of the service is in line with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Supported Accommodation Quality Standards.
• Lead, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team - preparing every staff member for registration and future Ofsted inspections.
• Motivate, inspire and develop multiple supported housing teams including 4+ direct reports to successfully manage their own teams, including the delivery of recorded monthly supervision and case management.
• Complete a monthly case management review of each site with relevant manager, including an in-depth audit to ensure young people are receiving the best possible support including high quality case notes, interventions, goals, and a consistency of delivery and approach across all teams.
• Work to build effective staff teams that meet and exceed their set goals and targets and monitor their performance, pro-actively addressing any challenges with the support of HR colleagues.
• Empower your teams to meaningfully engage, involve, and devolve decision making power to young people wherever possible to enable them to highlight and design areas for service development and co-create possible solutions or opportunities for change.
• Model for your teams the use of coaching and motivational interviewing techniques to empower young people with complex needs to regularly set and achieve ambitious person-centred goals, praising them for their achievements, and celebrating where appropriate through the resident incentive scheme.
• Work with your teams to ensure all young people understand and meet the terms of their licence agreement, outlining the expectations we have of them and what they can expect in return from the team at YMCA.
• Ensure you and your teams follow our agreed policies and procedures, including our Positive Change procedure if young people do not meet the expectations shared with them in their licence agreement practicing ‘elastic tolerance’ giving them the opportunity to recognise and change their behaviour.
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with Local Authorities and ensure the team develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Social Workers, Personal Advisers, local education providers and other partner agencies.
• Be the primary organisational representative at Ofsted inspections, commissioning meetings and placement reviews.

Collaborate with the Head of Resident Services & Head of Housing Services

• Utilising the YMCA Emotional Needs framework, ensure that each young person has a person-centred support plan in place where they set themselves goals focused on independence, emotional wellbeing, education and employment.
• To ensure young people develop practical life skills needed for independent living – including cooking, budgeting, tenancy management, health and wellbeing and positive relationships.
• To ensure that young people are supported with challenges as they present in a curious, empathetic, and solution focused way, responding in a timely manner, as part of or in addition to any planned sessions.
• To deliver a person-centred, asset-based, and trauma-informed approach at all times, recognising that one of the stages of change is relapse which is an important part of the journey towards achieving long term success.
• To ensure smooth transitions between placements.
• Share opportunities to signpost young people for specialist internal and external support with your teams wherever possible i.e. ARC, MK ACT, Mental Wealth.
• Arrange and ensure your teams actively engage in all Reflective Practice sessions designed to allow space for practitioners to consider, reflect on, and improve their practice on an ongoing basis.

Compliance

• Lead on ensuring that all aspects of service delivery, including H&S, Facilities etc are compliant with the necessary regulations, to ensure smooth Ofsted registration, working with teams from across the organisation where necessary.
• Ensure you and your teams collect and record all data required for monitoring and evaluation purposes and write regular case studies to demonstrate the ongoing impact of your work.
• Complete audits, quality assurance processes and continuous improvement plans to ensure continued compliance and success.
• Monitor incidents, complaints and outcomes for young people.
• Ensure that all contract and funding reporting is completed on time and to a high standard to protect and grow our vital commissioning and funding relationships.
• Ensure you and your teams record all information and actions taken factually and as if written to the young person on In-Form (our housing management system) and MyConcern (our safeguarding record system) in a way that you would feel happy to share with the young person if requested.
• Ensure all teams record and complete any actions needed in terms of licence management following property checks, damage to property, or abandonment of property etc.
• Receive and record all compliments and complaints about the housing service on In-Form in line with all Housing Ombudsman requirements and respond to all complaints in writing in a timely manner in line with the appropriate policy and procedure.
• Ensure that all service areas are delivered within budget, reporting any concerns to SLT in a timely manner.
• Ensure service level risk assessments and other health and safety compliance documents are completed as and when necessary for all relevant housing support areas.
• Ensure all H&S and Facilities checks are completed to ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements, raising this promptly with the SLT if Ofsted registered properties are not compliant.

Safeguarding

• Ensure safeguarding lies at the heart of every aspect of the service.
• Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead and ensure all members of your team record any Safeguarding concerns immediately on MyConcern and make any referrals requested in line with the Safeguarding policy.
• Act as the first point of contact for on-call queries from your direct reports, escalating any significant incidents or safeguarding concerns to SLT, and ensuring adequate cover is in place where necessary.
• Ensure teams are regularly trained in Professional Boundaries to remind staff of their obligation to uphold & maintain them at all times.

About You

You're an experienced leader who enjoys raising standards and making things better. You naturally see opportunities to improve services, simplify processes and create environments that people are proud to be part of. You're equally comfortable developing long-term plans as you are supporting your team to resolve day-to-day operational challenges.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience of managing and motivating a large team providing 24/7 support across multiple sites.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or other qualification accepted by Ofsted (or willing to work towards).
• At least 2 years experience working in supported accommodation, residential childcare leaving care or other supported housing setting for young people.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and partnership working.
• Strong understanding of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Supported Accommodation Quality Standards.
• Experience of working in an asset-based, person-centred, trauma-informed Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE).
• Experience of effective reporting and data collection for the purposes of monitoring and evaluation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.

• The confidence to challenge poor performance, influence others and drive operational excellence.

ROLE SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Senior Programme Manager (12-month fixed term maternity cover) to lead our programmes of support for Associates pursuing careers in STEM, including Energy & Net Zero, Motorsports, Tech, and Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a multilayered team and work closely with strategically important employer partners and funders, ensuring that all engagement is delivered to a high standard.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

As STEM Senior Programme Manager, you will lead on upReach’s STEM programmes of support, managing significant partner relationships and supporting a team to effectively manage partner relationships, achieve programme OKRs, and complete their day-to-day tasks. You will also play a key role in the Programme Management group, leading on a cross-functional area of responsibility with a strategic impact across the entire Programmes team.

1) PROGRAMME DESIGN AND DELIVERY

• Make strategic decisions concerning the design and delivery of STEM programmes, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and effectiveness. 

• Monitor and evaluate the impact of STEM programmes, with overarching responsibility for meeting internal engagement and application success OKRs, which you will utilise throughout the year to set priority areas for your team.

• Contribute to weekly Programme Manager meetings, sharing your insight and experience to generate ideas and practical solutions that support the overall improvement of upReach’s programme design and delivery. 

• Lead on parts of the weekly Programmes Meeting with the wider Programmes team, to ensure weekly focus areas and key team messages are communicated clearly to all team members. 

2) TEAM MANAGEMENT

• Manage a team consisting of a Programme Manager and Programme Leaders in a variety of locations, both virtually and in person, providing ongoing personal and professional development support through weekly 1-to-1 calls or meetings, written feedback on documents, and day-to-day guidance via Slack. 

• Support your team to provide high quality personalised support to their Associates, using centralised Programmes guidance and helping them to document all interactions with Associates and application progress.

• Use relevant impact dashboards and data to set priorities, support with managing competing workload demands and time management, to ensure that OKRs and stakeholder KPIs are achieved.

• Manage performance and development, including setting SMART goals and using appropriate tools and resources to support success. Provide regular, constructive feedback through weekly 1:1s, mid-point check ins, and end-of-year appraisals.

3) PARTNERSHIPS & EVENTS

• Maintain strong relationships with significant external partners, including managing the provision of appropriate volunteering opportunities and acting as a representative of upReach at external partner-led events.

• Lead on external reporting to partners, including managing bespoke quarterly/annual data & reporting requirements on aims and objectives, and having oversight of accurate data and survey response collection. Quarterly reporting will include leading regular internal stakeholder meetings, and gathering input from teams across upReach. 

• Oversee budgets for major funder-led programmes, including managing events costs and ensuring forecasts are met. 

• Have oversight of all STEM partners, supporting your team to manage day-to-day partnership responsibilities and ensuring that relationships are managed effectively to achieve programme objectives. 

• Support with running events and application processes smoothly, both in your team and within the wider team where necessary. 

• Collaborate with the partnerships team to make strategic decisions regarding how to grow upReach's existing and new partnerships within STEM, including playing a key role in renewal conversations and helping to shape the strategy and direction of STEM partnerships.

4) ASSOCIATE SUPPORT AND ENGAGEMENT

• Support a small group of your own Associates, engaging them with the upReach programme in line with OKRs.

• Act as a role model for the broader Programmes team, ensuring Associate facing tasks are completed to a high quality.

• Proactively use data dashboards to monitor Associate engagement across STEM programmes, identifying any areas of concern throughout the year and setting focus areas/action steps for your team to address these.

EXPERIENCE

To be successful, it is anticipated that you would have prior experience in the delivery of programmes and projects.

Essential experience:

• Experience in programme delivery from end to end, from design to reporting and evaluation.

• Experience working directly with key stakeholders to manage and grow a relationship and/or partnership.

• Line management or team leadership experience.

• Strong data skills, including Google Sheets/Excel experience. 

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and working independently to find solutions to problems.

• Ability to engage and flex communication style confidently with a variety of stakeholders, such as beneficiaries, upReach partners and all levels of employees across the organisation.

• Strong collaboration skills when working in both small and large teams of varied team members.

• Self-motivation and an ability to work in a small team as well as independently, with a creative and a proactive attitude.

• Excellent influencing, facilitation and communication skills (both oral and written) and comfortable preparing and presenting reports and proposals to senior management and external stakeholders.

• University degree in any discipline, or equivalent experience.

Desirable experience:

• Knowledge of the types of roles available in the STEM space.

• Familiarity with G Suite and Zoom video conferencing software.

This is a key role in a small and ambitious Communications and Events team, which will sit at the intersection of day-to-day strategic oversight and hands-on delivery. Key responsibilities:

Marketing and community engagement

• Lead the planning and delivery of cross-channel marketing plans (including digital campaigns, events and outreach) to promote Climate Spring’s industry programmes, initiatives and projects, alongside wider organisational campaigns.

• Develop and deliver audience and community engagement strategies that increase participation, strengthen audience journeys and build lasting relationships with our creative community, alumni and industry partners.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to identify priority audiences and community needs, ensuring that the right people are - and stay - engaged through relevant activity and events.

• Develop and manage partnerships and cross-promotional opportunities to extend the reach and impact of Climate Spring’s work.

• Work with industry and production partners to support and collaborate on the marketing and promotion of Climate Spring-supported film and TV projects. 

• Oversee the effective use of planning tools, calendars and reporting processes for marketing, campaigns and events.

• Track performance across campaigns and events, using data, insights and feedback to make recommendations and improve future activity.
   

Brand management and content oversight

• Act as a guardian of Climate Spring’s brand, ensuring consistency, quality and professionalism across all digital, marketing and event materials.

• Provide editorial and visual oversight of presentations, assets and digital content, ensuring that materials align with Climate Spring’s brand guidelines and messaging. 

• Review and provide feedback on copy and materials produced by junior team members, including newsletters, digital content, event materials and other promotional assets.

• Oversee the implementation and use of branded templates, brand guidelines and internal processes, ensuring consistency and quality of marketing, digital and event materials throughout.

About the role

This exciting new role sits within REUK’s Education Pathways work which has been in a pilot phase for the last few years and is rapidly growing now that the UK government has made a commitment to expanding safe and legal routes to higher education in the UK for refugee students.

Once a student is selected for participation and offered a university place, this postholder becomes their core anchor and primary REUK point of contact. This role oversees the entire student journey—from pre-departure preparation and arrival orientation to ongoing academic support, psychosocial wellbeing, community building on campus and monitoring of student outcomes.

The postholder will work alongside the newly created Education Pathways Universities Lead. While the Universities Lead focuses on institutional partnerships, you will focus on the student support side of the pathway: equipping university welcome groups to develop integration plans, pairing scholars with academic mentors (with support from REUK’s educational mentoring team), building a vibrant national student network, and providing hands-on casework escalation when complex issues arise.

This is a critical role within a small, high-capacity specialist unit within REUK. Because this is an emerging and new area of work you must be comfortable working with risk and ambiguity, refining and learning rapidly as parameters evolve. You will be a versatile practitioner - equally skilled at designing cohort orientation programmes and delivering student workshops as you are at managing administrative workflows, tracking student outcomes, and delivering compassionate, individual casework support.

1. Refugee Education Pathway students transition smoothly into UK higher education through comprehensive pre-departure guidance, arrival orientation, and holistic onboarding. To this end, key responsibilities include: 

• Serving as REUK’s primary point of contact for scholars in the months immediately preceding travel, delivering pre-departure briefings and managing expectation-setting.

• Supporting the Education Pathways Lead to recruit, select and match eligible students.

The postholder will work alongside the Marketing and Events Manager to create, coordinate and maintain our event schedule. They will need excellent skills in organisation, project planning and communication to support the delivery of both online and in-person events, many of which will focus around the 30th anniversary in 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to create and deliver engaging events to maximise our impact and influence with key stakeholder audiences. The postholder will also support brand and marketing activity across the charity, bringing creativity, an eye for detail and a strong audience focus to all of our branded materials.

Main duties

Event support

• Take a lead on a range of Sutton Trust in-person events and webinars, many of which will focus around research reports and government policy. This includes creating detailed briefings, managing relationships with speakers and stakeholders, working with venues and suppliers and promoting events through channels, including social media, newsletters and email invites to maximise engagement.
• Support with the development of our series of events for the Sutton Trust's 30th anniversary. This may involve events in parliament, part conferences and wider events with universities and corporate partners.
• Maintain an events calendar that can be used across the organisation.
• Manage the recording of event information and engagement on Salesforce.
• Manage digital engagement, uploading of events to the Sutton Trust YouTube channel and maximising viewership through promoting them to our audiences.
• Create detailed event evaluation reports for internal stakeholders and funders.

Marketing

• Advise and support colleagues across the organisation with marketing activity including use of Sutton Trust brand guidelines, Campaign Monitor and Canva.
• Work with the Marketing and Events Manager to further strengthen the Sutton Trust brand, including the updated tone of voice and messaging and new visual elements.
• Support with the proofing and production of cross-Trust marketing materials, including items for Programmes and Development teams.
• Support with the management and development of Sutton Trust email communications through Campaign Monitor.

Other

• Regularly update Communications and Research stakeholder lists as needed.
• Work with colleagues to maintain communications and content planning grids.
• Track and assess event engagement across different marketing platforms, including newsletters and social media.
• Write copy as required.
• Keep up to date with events in the sector.
• Feed into the wider work of the Research and Communications team.
• Other duties as necessary from time to time.

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have:

• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Experience in event delivery, including in-person, online and hybrid events (even if in a voluntary role)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across a range of different audiences and stakeholders
• A strong understanding of event management, including an awareness of the importance of briefing documents, relationship management, supplier management, event promotion and event logistics
• An understanding of the importance of branding and brand development
• An eye for detail, and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
• An understanding of how to use Canva and email platforms (such as Campaign Monitor) to support with marketing activity (desirable)

Terms of Appointment

• Contract: Full-time, fixed-term 18-month contract
• Salary: £33,700 - £37,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Working location: Minimum of 2 office days per week
• Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP. Our home working policy gives staff the option to work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.

The Deputy Director (Operations and Business Development) is a new senior leadership role that will work in close partnership with the Director and Board of Trustees to improve strategic effectiveness and sustainable growth. Created to support the next stage in The Burton's development, this role will translate strategic ambition into practical delivery, ensuring the organisation has the leadership, systems and operational capability needed to achieve its long-term goals.

Role Summary 

The main function of the Careers Coordinator (Work Experience) role is to develop, support and deliver Into Film’s Screen Careers Work Experience programmes. Screen Careers covers film, TV, animation, VFX and games. The postholder will work closely with the Careers Lead, Industry Partnerships Lead and other members of Into Film staff who conceive, create and deliver our Screen Careers Programme.

The Careers Coordinator will primarily manage work experience programmes across the four nations of the UK (outside of the ScreenWorks programme in Northern Ireland) but will also support the careers team with various other deliverables across the programme including but not limited to events with young people, development of resources and training for careers professionals, supporting development of ‘direct to young people’ content, and exhibiting at careers conferences UK-wide. The role will have a focus on reaching those young people who are underserved and under-represented.

Main Responsibilities:

• As directed by the Careers Lead, support the implementation of the Screen Careers Work Experience programmes throughout the UK alongside local activation coordinators.
• Liaise with industry professionals across the four nations to co-deliver work experience programmes.
• Create documentation and resources that can be adapted per location to support work experience programmes.
• Manage a budget for work experience programmes.
• Support the Careers Lead and Industry Partnerships Lead to manage stakeholders and industry partner relationships utilising Salesforce, our Customer Relationship Management tool.
• Monitor and evaluate the programme utilising internal and external feedback to help shape future Screen Careers annual programme plans.
