This exciting opportunity sits within our Children and Young People's Service and will support children and young people aged 4-25 who have experienced sexual violence. The role will involve providing short-term, trauma-informed wellbeing advocacy, working closely with survivors, their families and support networks, and helping them navigate health, safeguarding and support systems.
About the Role
Reporting to the Clinical Lead for Children & Young People / Advocacy Service Manager, the successful candidate will:
- Provide specialist wellbeing advocacy and emotional support to children and young people affected by sexual violence.
- Undertake risk and needs assessments and develop support plans.
- Work collaboratively with schools, social care, health services, CAMHS, criminal justice agencies and community partners.
- Support children, young people and families to access appropriate services and resources.
- Manage a caseload, maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Deliver support through face-to-face, online, telephone and outreach settings.
- Contribute to service development, awareness raising and training activities.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The successful applicant will:
- Provide short-term wellbeing advocacy and emotional support to children and young people affected by sexual violence.

About the role
This is a hands-on role for an experienced organiser who will lead key aspects of our community organising practice. ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting new role that will see the postholder leading EVAW’s strategic, influential campaigns work. The postholder will drive EVAW’s planned and reactive campaigning, advising the Director(s) and working closely with Heads of Communications, Policy and Research, Public Affairs and Membership functions within the organisation. The role is front-facing, requiring the postholder to confidently represent the organisation in high-level stakeholder spaces, as well as in the media. The postholder will lead on monitoring, evaluation and learning, ensuring the efficacy of our campaigns and interventions, as well as promoting internal learning and reflection. Using their strong campaigning nous/instinct the postholder will also be effective at adapting or amending campaigns and interventions when the external landscape shifts.
The postholder will have a finger on the pulse of current affairs and trends and be willing and able balance reactive and responsive work with delivering planned outputs and activities. You should be comfortable both working at pace, and with taking time to reflect and re-strategise.
You are likely to have experience in campaigns, working on VAWG or another human rights/equalities issue, and will be seeking an opportunity to work in a highly impactful, agile and dynamic feminist organisation.
Whether practical or academic, paid or voluntary, a background in VAWG will of course be an asset. You’ll need to show you have a good understanding of VAWG, can communicate complex issues with clarity and impact, and are committed to intersectional feminism. We’re excited to be recruiting for a key leadership position supporting Oasis’ youth and community work in the North West region (covering delivery in Greater Manchester and Bradford).With accountability to the Oasis Community Partnerships CEO the role of the Regional Youth and Community Director has three main functions:

The new KidsCan Connect programme aims to create moments of connection for children experiencing cancer and their families. The main areas of activity will be:
Community Programme - The Community Programme will provide accessible, inclusive activities for children, young people, and their families. The focus is on delivering a varied, geographically distributed calendar of events which will support families to develop networks of others with lived experience.
Hospital Activity Programme - The Hospital Activity Programme aims to enhance the inpatient experience through structured, co-created activities that support wellbeing and creativity. Starting at Manchester Children’s Hospital, and developed with NHS Staff, this programme will aim to make children and families’ time on the wards more pleasant.
Future flagship event - There are plans for a flagship event in the future (2027 onwards), which would form a core component of the programme. The Flagship Event is envisioned as a multi day, campus based gathering that brings families together for celebration, learning, creativity, and support.
The KidsCan Connect Lead will work closely with the Charity Manager in order to establish this exciting programme, organise and run activities and to create new ways to support young people and their families. Programme Delivery
- Community event delivery: Plan, organise, and run a varied calendar of community activities across the region, ensuring events are inclusive, age-appropriate, and engaging.

The Strategic and Commercial Partnerships Senior Adviser will support one of Start Network’s most exciting new areas of work. Building on the strong foundations of our current Dad Matters programme, you will work collaboratively with our existing Co-ordinator, with a focus on:
- Planning and delivering weekly peer support sessions for dads
- Supporting the development and delivering Dad’s antenatal sessions with local NHS services
- Recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers to contribute to the programme
- Helping dads develop their understanding of building strong parent-infant relationships
- Raising awareness of fathers’ mental health and suicide prevention, especially in the perinatal period

The successful candidate will lead, motivate and support a diverse team of passionate caseworkers, manage impactful services, lead on HR, deputise around safeguarding and develop and maintain key relationships with partners and funders, and more.
