As an Employment Advisor, you will sit within the Adult Learning, Skills and Employment team, delivering high-quality, person-centred employment support to residents facing a range of barriers to work. You will work across the employment programmes within the service, supporting a varied caseload of residents to secure and progress in employment.
Reporting to the Employability & Progression Manager, you will manage and support a caseload into employment by providing high-quality information and guidance. You will conduct initial assessments to produce tailored action plans, maintain regular meaningful contact with beneficiaries, and conduct regular reviews of agreed actions. You will be able to demonstrate and encourage a positive mindset among beneficiaries by adopting a strengths-based approach to their journey into employment.
You will deliver person-centred support spanning one-to-one guidance, CV and interview preparation, and contribute to the planning and delivery of group workshops and employment preparation sessions. You will develop a working knowledge of the local employer landscape, and will contribute to ensuring the service meets the performance targets and KPIs that underpin our funded programmes.
You will have at least 1 year’s experience working in a similar post supporting individuals facing barriers back to work and/or training and education. You will have experience of working in an evidence-based practice and working to set targets. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date beneficiary records on our internal systems and contributing to weekly/monthly caseload reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate annual calendar of volunteer training events
· Work in partnership with the Volunteer Development Manager to understand volunteer recruitment needs across services and the wider team.
· Liaise with services teams to plan and develop the calendar of volunteer training events, both in person and virtual.
· Manage relationships with training venues ensuring desired dates are secured early in line with event requirements and budgets.
· Proactively research new training venues which meet accessibility requirements.
· Work with team members taking a lead on volunteer training delivery to ensure all training materials are up to date and relevant training packs/goodie boxes are distributed to trainees.
· Liaise with trainees to ensure confirmation paperwork is completed in a timely manner and needs relevant to training are met.
· Keep accurate records and maintain database records to ensure services teams are kept up to date with trainee information and any changes to event attendance.
· Circulate post-training communications to help ensure new volunteers are onboarded in a timely manner.
· Collect and distribute feedback from trainees to ensure quality of delivery is maintained to a high standard.

Manage volunteer applications and requests
· Work with Volunteer Development Manager to ensure application process is kept up to date and is easily accessible to prospective volunteers.
· Liaise with potential volunteers, following up on expressions of interest, providing triage, answering queries and providing information relating to roles which may be relevant and of interest to encourage applications.
· Maintain database records ensuring swift distribution of applications to services team
· Support the Volunteer Development Manager to identify areas of potential efficiency and improvement in working practices in the recruitment, training and onboarding processes.
· Work across the wider team to understand and support volunteer requests, proactively approaching active volunteers with projects and opportunities for them to get involved.
· Coordinate volunteer request opportunities with volunteers and volunteer managers to ensure requests are fulfilled to raise awareness of Back Up’s services.
Other duties and responsibilities
· Maintaining accurate records on the database, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

About the role
This is a newly redesigned role created following a review of Robin Cancer Trust's support services.
The Community & Support Lead will play a key role in ensuring that people affected by testicular and ovarian germ cell cancers can access compassionate support, trusted information, meaningful connections and opportunities to shape our future work.
We particularly welcome applications from nurses and other healthcare professionals who may be looking for a career change, greater flexibility, or an opportunity to use their skills in a non-clinical setting. Whilst this is not a clinical position and does not involve providing medical advice, your understanding of the patient experience, treatment pathways and the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis would help us deliver high-quality, person-centred support to our community.
This role may particularly appeal to nurses seeking flexible, remote working arrangements, including those looking for school-hours working, a better work-life balance, or an opportunity to continue making a meaningful difference outside of frontline clinical practice.
Experience in oncology, cancer care, urology, gynaecology, adolescent and young adult services, community nursing or related healthcare settings would be highly valuable. CONTEXT
An estimated 12,000 men are raped every year and 76,000 sexually abused or assaulted. Yet just 4% of men will tell someone. Of those who do, it takes on average 26 years to do so.
Survivors UK provides specialist support to (cis and trans*) men and boys, and to non-binary people, who have been raped, sexually assaulted or abused. Our aim is to help any man, boy, or non-binary person, to have the confidence to tell someone what’s happened to them, and to know that it’s OK to seek help. When they do, we want to ensure they have access to the right support so they can deal with the impact of their experiences.
We provide emotional support, information and signposting to survivors and anyone worried about someone they know, through a national website and webchat service (open till 8pm most evenings). Last year, 2,600 people contacted us via our webchat services and social media.
In London, we are the only organisation providing specialist services for men and boys, including individual counselling and therapeutic groupwork, available till 9pm six days a week. Across London, we provide the capital’s only Independent Sexual Advisor (ISVA) Service that helps men and boys through the criminal justice system.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting role at Survivors UK which combines counselling and practical support, specifically to the (circa) 150 people who refer themselves for individual counselling with us each year. You will work specifically with young people aged 13+ and people from Black, Asian and Multi-Heritage communities who have experienced sexual violence.
The people served include those with clinical mental health diagnoses, drug and alcohol dependencies, at risk of suicide, homelessness or involved in the sex industry. You will need to be a highly skilled counsellor with experience of dealing with very vulnerable clients, willing to work flexibly and on your own initiative. Importantly, you will be a compassionate person, able to blend therapeutic work with practical support and care.
Main responsibilities include:
- Provide counselling and practical support interventions to boys, men, trans people and non-binary people from the BAM community who have been raped, sexually abused or assaulted with high levels of need and who are most vulnerable.
- Deliver counselling interventions by phone, video calling and face-to-face with clients 13+ years old.
- With clients, develop action plans to help them address emotional and practical needs and ensure clients can engage with a flexible service.
- An ability, interest and commitment to working and developing a therapeutic approach that is culturally attuned to Black, Asian and Multi and Dual Heritage clients.
- Maintain accurate and timely client case notes, ensuring adherence to confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection procedures.
- Support the monitoring and reporting to funders on the development and delivery of the service.

PURPOSE

Experience and qualifications

About the Youth Endowment Fund
We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
All of us will experience violence at some point in our lives. For many children, it is a daily reality. Each year, tens of children are killed, hundreds are hospitalised, 1 in 5 teenage children are victims and the majority admit to feeling afraid of violence. It scares them when they travel home from school, prevents them from going out and makes the most vulnerable feel like they don’t matter. It is taking lives, traumatising families and dividing communities. It robs potential, progress and hope. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives.
The evaluation team contributes to the design and implementation of the fund’s various funding rounds. The team is also responsible for assessing, appointing, monitoring, and the quality assurance of rigorous impact evaluations from experts in the field. The Senior Evaluation Manager will play a key role in leading evaluation work. The post holder will also lead a team of evaluation managers, ensuring they have the support to deliver a portfolio of evaluation projects.
Key responsibilities
The core of your job is to ensure that we are excellent at evaluation, so that we can find out the very best ways to prevent young people and children from becoming involved in violence.
Evaluation
Working with the Head of Evaluation the post holder will:

Implement the processes for assessing the quality of evidence underpinning applications to the fund and making funding recommendations to the Grants and Evaluation Committee.

Shape the evaluation approach for individual grant rounds, including leading on this for a small number of rounds.

Act as a source of expertise on the statistical underpinnings of YEF’s evaluation work, including on issues such as power calculations, regression analysis and missing data.

Lead the delivery of YEF’s evaluation work, designing, commissioning and managing complex and large-scale RCTs and QEDs

Be responsible for YEF’s evaluation policies and reporting templates, ensuring they remain consistent and fit for purpose.

Team management
The post holder will likely lead the recruitment, management and development of a team of evaluation officers and will:

About the Youth Endowment Fund
We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
Violence continues to shape the lives of too many teenage children. In the past year, nearly one in five said they had been a victim, one in eight admitted to carrying out violence themselves, and half told us they had witnessed violence being committed against someone else. This violence takes many forms— from physical and sexual assault to robbery and threats with weapons. And the consequences are often severe. Nearly three in ten victims, equivalent to 5% of all teenage children in England and Wales, needed medical treatment from a doctor or a hospital.
At the Youth Endowment Fund, we work to prevent this violence. To do this, we aim to build the evidence base on what works, and then use this to change policy and practice.
In the first instance, this means producing strong, relevant evidence through research, data analysis and insights into young people’s lives. But evidence on its own isn’t enough. We must use this evidence to promote real change in day-to-day practice and ambitious system reform to better protect children.
About the role
This role is a hugely exciting opportunity to change practice and policy in the Youth Justice sector. Using the vast body of evidence YEF has compiled (including four new research projects that are currently underway), the Senior Research Manager (SRM) for Youth Justice will spend the year writing two reports:
- A Practice Guidance Report (publishing in May 2027).
- A System Guidance Report (publishing in September 2027).
Practice Guidance Report
The Practice Guidance Report will provide 5-8 evidence-based recommendations on how individual Youth Justice Services can prevent children’s involvement in violence. It will be similar in style and approach to previous YEF Practice Guidance in other sectors (such as the education practice guidance, and youth sector practice guidance report). It will likely recommend a range of evidence-based strategies including:

The importance of commissioning evidence-based interventions (detailed in the YEF Toolkit).

How to meet the health needs of children in the Youth Justice System.

How to respond to serious violence and weapons carrying.

How to support the sentencing process.

How to support children in and after custody.

The SRM for Youth Justice will lead the development and writing of these recommendations.
System Guidance Report
Targeted at policy makers and system leaders (including national government and the inspectorate) this guidance report will make 5-8 policy recommendations on how the Youth Justice sector can be reformed to better protect children from involvement in violence. While the practice guidance will focus on day-to-day changes that Youth Justice services can make, the system guidance will focus on how the system itself should be changed to make it easier for Youth Justice services to do ‘what works’. It will be similar in style to the education system guidance. It will likely recommend a range of evidence-based reforms, including:

How to use funding, training and inspection to improve the provision of evidence-based interventions in the Youth Justice System.

How to ensure that other agencies and sectors (such as health and education) effectively collaborate with Youth Justice Services.

How to improve responses to the most vulnerable children and young people, and how to improve sentencing, custody and resettlement.
The SRM for Youth Justice will also lead the development and writing of these recommendations.
Both guidance reports will include as a priority recommendations that will reduce the racial disproportionality currently evident in the Youth Justice System, and you will work closely with a Race Equity Advisor who will play a vital role as a critical friend.
You will also be supported by a brilliant internal YEF Youth Justice Change Team (former Youth Justice practitioners who work within YEF to change practice and policy across the sector), in addition to external expert input from the leading sector experts. This will include liaising closely with the Ministry of Justice in producing both reports. You will also be able to draw from the practice and system guidance reports that YEF has already produced on diversion.
This role is a unique opportunity to change the Youth Justice System and YEF will invest significant resource in making the recommendations that you write happen. For instance, we published our Education System Guidance Report in May 2025. Three of the eight recommendations included in it have already been enacted. We intend to push for practice and system change at pace and will use the work you produce to do so.
The Senior Research Manager will be part of YEF’s Research team. The Research team is at the heart of our efforts to learn what works and put it into practice. We do this by developing the YEF’s funding strategy and creating free, highly accessible research summaries and actionable recommendations for policy makers, commissioners and practitioners. We’re a high-performing team which values intellectual rigour and getting to the truth, compassion for children, ambition about what we can achieve and humility about what we know. Read, comment on, and support the publication of four research projects focused on the Youth Justice system concluding in late 2026.These projects, which are currently underway, are reviews of current practice that focus on: Youth Justice responses to serious violence, VAWG and weapons; a review of how community sentences and court orders are used for children involved in violence; a review of custody aftercare and resettlement programmes for children and young adults; and a review of whether the youth justice system is currently meeting the health needs of children within it. Alongside YEF’s existing research (particularly the YEF Toolkit), these reviews will support the development of guidance.

About the role
This is a rare opportunity to lead advocacy on two of the most important fronts in international development. You will co-lead the External Engagement and Influencing workstream of What Works to Prevent Violence – Impact at Scale (What Works II), a FCDO-funded programme working to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls globally. Alongside this, you will drive CIUK's own influencing work on gender equality, shaping UK Government policy and building CIUK's reputation as a thought leader on gender justice.

The Organisation
Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations. The Independent Living Service (Self-Directed Support Service) is a new service that will provide support to Direct Payment users within the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The service will enable disabled people to have genuine choice and control over the way in which they lead their lives.The post-holder will be working alongside disabled people to enable them to have more choice and control over their care and support needs.
Purpose of Post
To work with individuals, their family and friends (where appropriate) to provide them with information, advice and assistance to enable them to access and manage a Direct Payment
(DP) and recruit and manage a Personal Assistant (PA).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support to individuals employing their own Personal (care) Assistant (PA) or engage an agency to deliver care and support.
- Provide information and advice on becoming an employer and the role of the Personal Assistant.
- Ensure that the client understands their legal obligations and responsibilities of being an employer.
- Work with clients to: set up a profile on the Find-a-pa website, advertise and recruit a Personal Assistant, create a personalised job description and specification identify the level of experience and training requirements needed for the role.
- Advise and help to calculate the PA’s salary and on costs (full training provided).
- Support the client through the interview process and where necessary sit in during interviews.
- Support individuals to reference, check legal status and where necessary DBS their support worker.
- Support individuals to set up an induction plan for their PA and enable them to identify training needs.

Role Purpose
The Head of Finance plays a key role in supporting Good Faith's financial health, sustainability and growth. Westminster Atlas Team, which provides support to people experiencing street homelessness and multiple disadvantages across Westminster. The team maintains frequent contact with clients to support them into accommodation, improve their wellbeing, and sustain positive outcomes.
Westminster First Contact Team (FCT), which works on the frontline supporting people who are new to the streets. Through street outreach shifts across the borough, the team engages individuals, assesses their needs, and helps identify the most appropriate route away from homelessness.
This apprentice scheme is for people with lived experience.
Our Apprentice scheme is specifically designed for people with lived experience, and we can only offer places to the people the programme is designed for.
You may have personally experienced homelessness (spent time sleeping rough, or lived in a hostel, refuge or supported accommodation), you may have experienced domestic abuse, mental health struggles, substance misuse problems or had contact with the criminal justice system and have used recovery services as a result.

Pay and Conditions of Service
This post is permanent and full-time.
The annual full-time salary for this role is between £47,911 and £53,890, inclusive of London Weighting.
There is a probationary period of six months for this post.
Full-time staff are entitled to 25 days holiday leave per annum with additional days for long service. The timing of holidays must fit in with the needs of the Foundation and must be agreed in advance. In addition to annual holidays there is paid time off for national holidays.
The post will be based in the London office at Unit 17 Deane House Studios, 27 Greenwood Place, London NW5 1LB. Staff currently work two to three days a week in the office.
The normal working week is 35 hours for full-time posts, seven hours per day, Monday to Friday. Standard office hours are 9.00 a.m.-5.00 p.m.
