Job Description:
The Senior Research Officer reports to the Deputy Director of Research, Evaluation and Learning and
plays an essential role in supporting technical, strategic, operational, financial, and other aspects of
leadership for the projects in the digital portfolio within the Research Department. The position is
full-time and requires up to 30% travel.

Key responsibilities envisioned for this position:

• Research Portfolio Management
  • Provides oversight and technical leadership throughout all stages of the research cycle, including:

Required:

• Master's Degree; at least 3-5 years relevant work experience.

Compensation:
Equimundo offers competitive and fair salary ranges in Washington, D.C., the not-for-profit and related
sectors. This position ranges between $90,000 and $110,000, depending on years of experience and
academic qualifications.

We are now seeking a Director of Advocacy — a strategic, inspiring leader who can steer our campaigns, public affairs and intelligence work to deliver meaningful and lasting change for animals. The focus of the role is mission delivery - ending cruel ‘sports’.

About the role

This is a high-profile leadership position at the heart of the organisation, you will oversee the strategy for political change (with a particular focus on England and Wales).

You will:

• Provide strategic leadership for our campaigns, public affairs and intelligence functions (England & Wales).
• Lead organisational planning to ensure our advocacy is aligned, evidence-led and delivers maximum impact.
• Oversee the development of compelling campaigns to influence public opinion and drive legislative change.

THE ROLE

Job Title: Head of CRM

Reports To: Chief Executive

CONTEXT & PURPOSE OF ROLE

SportsAid is currently implementing Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud as our new organisation-wide CRM platform to strengthen engagement with athletes and their parents/care-givers, supporters and funders, partners, alumni, volunteers and other key stakeholders.  The Head of CRM will provide strategic and operational leadership for the charity’s CRM function.  

Initially the focus of the role will be to realise the value of the implementation, including adoption, embedding ways of working and processes across teams, improving data quality, refining reporting, ensuring good system governance and optimising organisation-wide usage. 

Longer term, the role will develop and lead a CRM roadmap, identifying priorities and enhancements for future development and planning the strategic evolution of our new CRM ecosystem and long-term sustainability of our Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud platform.

You will lead organisational change, embed best practice CRM processes, ensure high-quality data governance and maximise the value of CRM insights to support fundraising, programme delivery, marketing, partnerships and impact reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 CRM Strategy & Leadership

• Champion CRM adoption across all function areas.

About the role

This Debt Advice Case Manager role combines both technical and pastoral elements. It will involve building a client case, untangling sometimes complex situations, liaising with creditors, providing guidance for volunteers, and discerning and communicating the appropriate choices and strategies for the client. You will also need to lead client appointments and support clients through what at times can be emotionally difficult situations. · To lead the development and delivery of seamless income generation and engagement strategies and annual operating plans aligned to organisational priorities.

· To set, manage and monitor budgets, ensuring clear targets, KPIs and accountability across teams.

· To provide high-quality analysis, reporting and insight to inform strategic decision-making, Board reporting and accountability to funders.

· To ensure robust management of restricted and contractual funding, setting financial controls, to comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

· To act as an ambassador and spokesperson for Age UK Merton, representing with

Professionalism, confidence and compassion.

· To build and maintain strategic partnerships, networks and relationships to strengthen visibility, influence and community engagement.

Governance, Compliance & Risk

· Ensure compliance with the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, the Gambling Commission, advertising standards and GDPR/data-protection legislation.

· To contribute to strong risk-management frameworks, ensuring early identification, mitigation, and appropriate investigation of risks.

· Oversee policy development as applicable for the department.

People

· To grow and develop a high-performing team, and to make the case for further resource investment where appropriate, in order to recruit and develop a multi-disciplinary team covering income generation, marketing, communications and engagement, with a view to develop a culture of creativity and professionalism across the entire team.

· To ensure effective performance management, with regular 1:1s, appraisal, individual and team development and succession planning.

· To embed, review and optimise new team structures and systems to maximise efficiency, impact and income.

· To ensure volunteers are effectively integrated, supported and aligned to organisational priorities.

General

· To establish good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders and liaise as required

· To comply at all times with the policies and procedures of Age UK Merton. 

· To ensure that Age UK Merton’s Equal Opportunities policies, principles and practices are observed and implemented throughout service delivery.

· To carry out any other relevant tasks as required, to ensure the effective development of the organisation and the delivery of its services, this may include supporting weekend and out of hours events for time off in lieu.

· To attend staff meetings, 1:1s, and appraisal meetings.

· To be aware of own training needs and participate in training/education to improve performance considered relevant to the post and to achieve agreed targets.

· To act as a representative of the values, beliefs and principles of AUKM at all times.

· To undertake any other duties that are requested and commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
