We are looking for three Hostel Support Workers to join our team at a 14-bed, 24-hour hostel, where you will play a vital role in creating a calm, welcoming, and well-managed environment for residents experiencing homelessness.

Working day and evening shifts, you will provide practical, emotional, and safeguarding support to vulnerable adults, ensuring their welfare, dignity, and protection at all times. You will remain alert to risk, respond confidently to incidents or concerns, and follow clear safeguarding and risk-management procedures to keep residents and colleagues safe.

You will hold a small caseload of residents, offering person-centred, trauma-informed key-work support that helps individuals build independence, stability, and wellbeing. This will include encouraging engagement with support services, promoting positive routines, and helping residents work towards longer-term housing and life goals.

Working closely with colleagues across the service, you will:

• Maintain accurate records and case notes

• Communicate clearly with the wider team

• Deliver effective handover between shifts to ensure continuity of care and support

Above all, you will help foster an environment where residents feel safe, listened to, and encouraged, supporting them to move forward at their own pace.

This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, resilient, and committed to making a meaningful difference—whether you bring previous hostel experience or are looking to grow your career in homelessness and supported housing services.

Community Fundraiser – South East (Kent, Surrey or Sussex)​​

About the role

In this role, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our incredible supporters who are ‘doing their own’ fundraising and you’ll also play an important role in the day to day running of the mass ‘DIY fundraising’ programme.

This will include responding to supporter enquiries, sending out fundraising materials, and managing our community fundraising Facebook group.

Providing operational support to the wider team is a key part of this role. This will include processing invoices, working with external suppliers to replenish and manage stock levels, and accurately delivering processes such as coding income and thanking supporters.

You’ll be joining a passionate and supportive team who are based across the UK. There will be lots of opportunities to develop skills and knowledge through working with others and accessing our organisation’s learning and development programme, as well as being encouraged to attend sector webinars.

About you  

We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, who takes pride in delivering the highest standard of supporter or customer care. You’re someone who’ll enjoy engaging with our incredible supporters and hearing their stories and will have previous experience of providing excellent support via email and over the phone.

You’ll have experience of working in an administrative or operational role, which involved following different processes. With great organisational skills, you can manage and prioritise a varied workload, ensuring deadlines are met. You're a team player who enjoys helping others and sharing ideas but also feels confident working independently.

If you’ve worked for a charity before, or have community fundraising experience, that’s a bonus. However, it’s more important that you have a passion for making a difference, and an enthusiasm for helping to create an exceptional fundraising experience for our supporters. Following a successful application to the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, we are seeking a Youth Worker to lead on systems change as part of our Brighter Rainbow Project. A key requirement of the post is to hold a JNC Level 6 Youth and Community Work qualification or equivalent (or due to complete 2026- 2027).
