About Bridge Watch

Bridge Watch is a suicide prevention and community safety programme that deploys trained volunteer patrols on London’s bridges to identify and support individuals at risk, helping to prevent tragic outcomes.

The programme forms part of wider suicide prevention efforts across the Square Mile and surrounding areas, with a focus on early intervention, compassionate engagement, and partnership working. Bridge Watch volunteers are supported by a comprehensive training framework that equips them to confidently and safely engage with people in crisis, raise public awareness, and signpost to appropriate support.

Bridge Watch continues to develop its coverage, volunteer base, and profile, working closely with statutory and community partners.

Job Summary

The Bridge Watch Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Bridge Watch Programme Lead, contributing to the effective day-to-day running, coordination, and development of the programme.

The role plays a key part in supporting volunteers, maintaining smooth operations, and helping to raise the profile and impact of Bridge Watch across London.

Hours: Part-time, three days a week.
Contract: Fixed term for three years.

Main Duties & Responsibilities 

Programme Administration & Coordination

• Support the coordination of the day-to-day operations of the Bridge Watch programme
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintain accurate administrative records
• Assist with scheduling, rotas, and general programme organisation

Volunteer Support & Engagement

• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and initial engagement of Bridge Watch volunteers
• Assist with patrol rotas and arranging cover where necessary
• Support follow-up with volunteers to review early experiences and ongoing engagement
• Process volunteer expense claims in line with organisational procedures

Communications, Events & Engagement

• Support the development and delivery of programme communications and awareness-raising activities
• Assist with website and social media content preparation
• Liaise with volunteers, partners, and external organisations to support meetings and events
• Arrange meetings, including booking rooms, preparing agendas, and circulating notes where required

Operational & Practical Support

• Provide practical support at the Bridge Watch base, including assisting with equipment and uniforms

• Assist with basic research, data collation, and reporting as directed

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Domestic Abuse Health Advocate Educator supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.

The Health Advocate Educator will support healthcare teams to identify domestic abuse at an early stage and ensure appropriate responses and referral pathways are offered to female, male and non-binary survivors of domestic violence and abuse. In addition, the post holder will directly support survivors of domestic abuse and hold their own case load.

The post holder will collaborate with the local ICB and Service Manager to strengthen connections with healthcare teams and create effective partnerships that support survivors.

Post: Grants / Fundraising Manager

Job Purpose

The Grants & Fundraising Manager will play a lead role in maintaining and growing Umbrella’s income, with a primary focus on grant fundraising and the development of corporate partnerships. Working closely with the CEO, Trustees and staff teams, the post holder will strengthen existing income streams, identify new opportunities, and support the development of Umbrella’s fundraising strategy. This role is central to ensuring the sustainability and expansion of Umbrella’s services for disabled children, young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an Intercultural Engagement Manager (Freedom of Speech) to to manage our student-led external speaker events policy and processes, which are key to enabling the Union to balance our responsibility to enable and protect freedom of speech within the law with our fundamental charitable purpose to deliver for the educational benefit of our community and society. 

The role holder will manage the external speakers’ approval process, including assessing the risk rating and the risk mitigation steps required for events. These are essential processes that enable the Union to facilitate student-led events, which broaden the scope of discussion and debate and contribute to the academic and non-academic development of our members, whilst ensuring the safety of those participating. 

The post holder will also work with the Head of Intercultural Engagement to increase the number and variety of skills development opportunities for students, catering to the diverse needs of our members. They will be responsible for expanding the reach and impact of the Impartial Chairs programme, our skills development programme designed to help students tackle contentious issues, develop a nuanced understanding of power dynamics and a toolkit of techniques to enable them to navigate challenging conversations with individuals with different views.

Brief role description:

This job acts as a ‘secretariat’ function for the Global Board, sub Committees and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the timely preparation of agendas, collation and circulation of papers, minuting meetings and managing action points.  This role also supports the recruitment and annual evaluation of trustees, the management of terms of office and any association board administration.

• Provide organisational and logistical support for key management meetings including SLT, Global Townhalls and other meetings, including effective management of forward work plans, agendas and actions.

• Provide support and coordination of meetings, agendas and action points as necessary with other key strategic projects across the organisation as the need arises.

• Keep records relating to work activities and be able to use this swiftly to produce meaningful management information that can inform the organisation’s decision-making.

• Creation and delivery of engaging reports, presentations, and activities for different internal audiences (from front-line staff to director/CEO/board level, as well as for external stakeholders).

• Lead or collaborate in the organisation of team off sites, events or away days including travel, accommodation, diary management, taking/distributing meeting notes/actions and the coordination and provision of support documents (e.g. files, reports, minutes, meeting papers).

• Support subsidiary boards as needed with  minute taking, governance support and reporting.

Essential experience requirements:

Purpose of the Role

The Digital and Operational Lead will lead the development and day-to-day delivery of the eoa’s digital systems including our AMS and SSoT (iMIS) and member community platform (Thrive by Higher Logic), operational infrastructure, and working environment (office and WFH).

The role will ensure the smooth running of core business systems and services, embedding a data-driven, member-focused approach and supporting the delivery of our ambitious sector growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Systems, Technology, and Intelligence

• Lead the delivery, development, and optimisation of our digital infrastructure, including implementation of AI, liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure business critical systems are maintained, secure, and future-proofed.
• Drive creation and delivery of seamless, engaging digital experiences that support member acquisition and retention, and generate measurable ROI.
• Ensure high digital adoption among staff and members while championing the use of iMIS (the eoa’s AMS) as a single source of truth.
• Ensure high quality data management practices and support teams in using data for business insight and decision-making.

Business Operations 

• Lead on all office and work from home functions including service provision, maintenance, insurances, H&S, and contracts with suppliers and landlords representatives.
• Support delivery of our people and culture strategy.
• Oversee our people processes including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, staff contracts, holiday and absence records.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regular reviews of safety and operational processes.

Knowledge, Experience, and Attributes

• Confident using and maintaining digital platforms and systems (e.g. CRM, AMS, online communities, IT tools).
• Skilled in using digital tools, and in interest in implementing AI, to improve operational efficiency and UX.
• Data-literate, with experience supporting colleagues to use systems for data-led decision making.
• Experience in change management or embedding new systems or processes across an organisation.

• Measure: Resolution of critical issues within agreed SLAs; positive feedback from staff and key users in staff and member satisfaction surveys.
• Outcome: Member experience streamlined, engaging and user-friendly digital interactions with the eoa.
• Measure: Member satisfaction with digital services has an NPS of 40 in annual member survey; measurable improvement in digital engagement metrics.
• Outcome: New system functionality, updates or digital solutions are introduced on time, on budget, and with high adoption by staff and members.
• Measure: 100%+ internal adoption rate for new systems or features; post-implementation review shows on-time delivery and positive ROI or user feedback.
• Outcome: eoa uses accurate, timely data from a single source of truth to inform decisions and improve member services.
• Measure: All teams actively using iMIS data to report on KPIs or inform decision-making; data quality score (e.g. % of complete member profiles) reaches 85%.
• Outcome: Contracts with digital and operational suppliers deliver value, performance and are aligned with organisational priorities.
• Measure: Supplier contracts are delivering on time and budget, with at least 90% supplier performance rated satisfactory or above.

About the Role

As Philanthropy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and nurturing high value relationships that help drive positive change across Milton Keynes. Working as part of a collaborative and mission focused team, you will connect donors, businesses, fundholders and community partners with the causes that matter most.
