Job Summary
As our Corporate and Community Partnerships Fundraiser, you will build meaningful relationships with businesses, community organisations and local people across Bristol, generating sustainable income and long-term support through corporates, community fundraising and events.
You will secure long-term, mutually beneficial income from the corporate sector across a range of disciplines and formats, including long-term partnerships, Charity of the Year, cause-related marketing and sponsorship. You will develop and secure new partnerships with Bristol's businesses, while nurturing and account managing existing partnerships.
Alongside this, you will grow support within the local community by developing relationships with organisations such as clubs, schools and faith groups. You will also encourage individuals, groups and organisations to support Caring in Bristol through community fundraising initiatives and events.
You will be responsible for researching key prospective sectors, companies and organisations, sector activities and the business marketplace, to compile lists of key targets, as agreed with the Public Fundraising Manager. Key responsibilities

· Alongside the Public Fundraising Manager develop and manage Caring in Bristol’s approach to corporate fundraising, delivering the agreed targeted income
· Manage a portfolio of existing corporate partners, providing exceptional supporter care and delivering successful partnerships
· Research, approach and develop new corporate partnership opportunities, managing a pipeline of corporate fundraising activity including charity of the year partnerships, staff fundraising payroll giving and business donations for example

The Opportunity
This is a new and significant appointment for SWT UK. We are looking for a Director of Development to develop and lead our UK fundraising strategy – taking ownership of income generation across all streams, donor communications and supporter stewardship, and managing a team of three talented fundraising professionals.
Our individual supporter base is large globally – growing in UK – loyal and deeply engaged: many give through our elephant adoption programme, which connects them directly with named animals in our care. You'll be our lead for all philanthropy events and you'll need to have proven experience delivering high-value, income-generating events and strong project management skills to keep these on track. A key part of your role will also be in writing reports, building relationships and keeping donors and event attendees engaged for the long-run.

About the role
We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead our corporate partnerships and drive the income that powers our work. This is more than a corporate partnerships role—it's your opportunity to lead income generation for a growing national charity. The Head of Partnerships will play a key role in managing Inter Mediate's relationships with institutional donors, foundations, governments and philanthropic partners. The postholder will coordinate donor engagement across the organisation, oversee grant management and reporting, identify new funding opportunities and support the development of high-quality funding proposals. S/he also leads on our internal quality assurance, research and reporting processes, line managing the Research and Reporting Officer.
Working closely with the senior leadership, programme teams and finance colleagues, you will help ensure that Inter Mediate maintains strong partnerships with its existing funders while expanding its network of supporters. This is a collaborative, externally-facing role suited to someone with strong relationship management skills, excellent organisational ability and experience of securing and managing funding within the international development, peacebuilding or humanitarian sectors.
With at least 7 years' experience in partnerships, fundraising, business development or grant management in the international development, humanitarian or peacebuilding sectors, you will have demonstrable experience managing relationships with institutional donors, foundations and/or HNWIs, and a track record of successful funding proposals and overseeing donor reporting.
You have excellent written communication skills, strong project management skills, and superb interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
You will ideally have experience working in conflict-affected or politically sensitive contexts, be well-versed in monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches and have working knowledge of grant management systems or CRM platforms.
