This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in establishing a new city-wide service from the very beginning. As a Senior Family IDVA, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to support the mobilisation, development and ongoing success of the service. Alongside managing your own caseload, you will provide day-to-day leadership, support and guidance to a team of Family IDVAs, helping to create a positive, high-performing and learning-focused culture.
This permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) is hybrid, with regular visibility required across Birmingham's 10 Family Hubs. You will lead a dedicated team of 5 Family IDVAs, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality and trauma-informed support to families affected by domestic abuse.

This is a new senior role. Reporting directly to the Head of Lambeth Palace Library, the postholder will ensure that cross-Library programmes are well coordinated and delivered. The Housing Navigator role works in partnership with SIFA’s Homeless Intervention Team and Birmingham City Council’s Housing Directorate to ensure that individuals coming to SIFA in need of housing are provided with the necessary support and guidance to engage with the Local Authority and access safe, sustainable accommodation that adequately meets their needs. A key focus of the role is to support individuals in addressing the barriers that may otherwise prevent them from accessing such accommodation.
The post holder will also ensure that individuals accessing accommodation are signposted to other relevant services that may enable them to sustain their tenancies. The post holder will be a strong communicator who can engage with partner agencies and other SIFA services to ensure those accessing the space receive the correct assistance. The Navigator reports to the Service Lead and plays an essential role in the operational delivery of SIFA Fireside’s vision.
Key tasks (selection of):
1. Undertake initial assessments of clients accessing SIFA Fireside and requesting assistance with housing. Capturing information about the needs of individuals presenting to us to allow us to work to address them.
2. Provide advice and support to clients, signposting and referring them to internal and external services as appropriate.
3. Maintain an active caseload of housing clients, ensuring co-production and effective support planning is implemented where appropriate.
4. Work closely with other SIFA services to ensure clients are directed to the most appropriate support at the first time of asking.

Working as a Night Concierge, you will provide a first point of contact and safeguarding to clients at night. Shift pattern will be 4 nights on, 4 nights off, 9.30pm-7.30am (10-hour shifts, no break). This will be working alongside a Night Worker.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Student Support Officer to support in the areas of disability and inclusion for our Initial Teacher Education programmes and on behalf of our partners for the High Performance Initial Teacher Training programme.
About the role
This is an important new role reporting to the Student Support Lead (Disability and Inclusion). The post-holder will provide support and advice to trainees with a wide range of needs, including disabilities such as SpLD, autism and ADHD, as well as mental health conditions. They will write Reasonable Adjustment Plans (RAPs), work with partners to ensure agreed support is implemented effectively, escalate cases where appropriate, and contribute insight to help strengthen student support, inclusion and wellbeing practice across NIoT. Above all, the role is focused on enabling an outstanding student experience.

Essential Criteria:
Experience of delivering one-to-one support to a range of learners with disabilities and other additional needs, including writing support plans.
A strong understanding of the Equality Act (2010) and other relevant legislation related to disability rights and accommodations.
Familiarity with Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) and Access to Work
Excellent understanding of reasonable adjustments and the creation of tailored plans, including knowledge of adjustments to assessments, learning and teaching.
Educated to degree level and/or significant relevant experience.
Ability to provide sensitive and empathetic support to trainees regarding their disability and welfare support needs.
A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching.
An interest in the education sector and a belief in the value of teachers and school leaders.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices in handling sensitive information.
Proficient in the use of MS Office software packages, such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as search engines and online databases.
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience delivering disability and/or mental health support in a higher education setting, such as a Disability, Mentoring or Wellbeing Service.
Further postgraduate training related to student support, such as Study Skills, Mentoring, SEND, disability support.
Experience of working in or with the Initial Teacher Education (ITE) sector.

Salary: £43,099 plus excellent benefits
Contract type: Permanent, full time
Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week. All staff are required to work in person for a minimum of two days per week, in line with our hybrid working policy. The post-holder may be required to undertake some work outside normal working hours.

About the role
There are 2 Policy Officer roles in the Health and Care Policy team available. The team focuses on shaping the future of the health and social care system in the UK to ensure the best care for all, by supporting more evidence-informed policy and decision-making. One officer will work across a range of thematic areas, and one will focus initially on technology and AI, with the opportunity to work across other areas further down the line. The Policy Officer will work on a mix of short and longer-term projects, including supporting in-house policy analysis and research, as well as helping to scope and develop ideas for externally commissioned research. This will involve a range of different approaches, including synthesising qualitative and quantitative research evidence; analysing policy documents and grey literature; qualitative methods such as key informant interviews and thematic analysis; and other approaches involved in policy-focused research. The Policy Officer will help write and contribute to external publications, including briefings, blogs, and longer Health Foundation reports. They will also support the team to bring together policymakers and others in events, meetings, workshops, and other activities to inform and influence thinking and decisions.
