Days/Hours per Week: 35 hours per week, working from 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. Monday to Friday.

Purpose of the Job 

We are seeking to hire 2 Individual Giving Officers. As the Individual Giving Officer, you will support the Individual Giving Managers developing our individual giving programmes, including acquisition through face to face, digital and direct mail channels and innovate within the space. The post-holder will take on specific campaigns and manage these from inception to completion including data selection, creative, print and post-campaign analysis. The role also offers a fantastic opportunity for the post-holder to help drive innovation in Individual Giving at Felix. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

The key focus of the role will be: 

1. Supporting the Individual Giving Managers with acquisition and retention activities. 
2. Taking a proactive role in supporter stewardship 
3. Insight and Evaluation 

Campaign Management – Supporter Acquisition and Retention  

• Help deliver a calendar of activities across digital and traditional channels in line with agreed budget targets  
• Campaign manage supporter updates from inception to completion including data selection, creative, print and post-campaign analysis  

Supporter Stewardship  

• Be proactive in refining and improving supporter stewardship processes and assist with updating related policies as required  
• Support the supporter care team with queries where required  
• Take a lead in updating and monitoring the Fundraising complaints log  

Developing in Legacy giving programme 

• Support in the development of an effective legacy acquisition and stewardship programme.  

Insight & Evaluation 

•  Produce post-campaign reports and make recommendations on refining approaches to improve overall performance 
•  Monitor Supporter attrition levels and implement measures to mitigate drop-offs  

Collaboration  

• Work with Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Manager on new income-generation opportunities  
• Work with the Marketing team to maximise opportunities utilising social media platforms  

General  

• Understanding of the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice, data protection and other relevant legislation, guidance and good practice 

Essential Criteria 

• Proven track record of campaign management across Individual Giving, across both acquisition and retention methods. 
• Previous experience of creating supporter journeys that have reduced attrition rates and increased supporter engagement. 
• Experience of using supporter databases for audience segmentation and insight. 
• Experience of supporter (or customer) care and managing queries and complaints. 
• Good numeracy and Excel skills. 
• Understanding of the regulatory environment for fundraising, including data protection, codes of fundraising practice and Gift Aid. Not essential but please state if you have experience with Gambling Protection laws and regulations (including LCCP). 
• Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, and to work independently within a small team. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.  
• A passion for fighting food waste and food inequality.

The National PR Lead will be responsible for the successful delivery of Public Relations and Media strategies to support a designated portfolio of work. You will play a vital role in leading priority PR workstreams. Your expertise will ensure we use the most effective PR tactics to meet team and organisational goals. You will also leave your impact on major policy campaigns, including high-profile initiatives such as Dying in Poverty and Fix End of Life Care.

You will be responsible for: 

• Delivering PR and media strategies for specific portfolios, leading priority workstreams, and ensuring effective tactics to meet campaign and organisational goals.
• Leading PR strategy development, execution, and evaluation to increase brand recognition and media reach; managing campaign objectives and sharing insights for continuous improvement.
• Identifying, training, and briefing spokespeople including senior staff.
• Managing reactive news and news desk functions to stay ahead of media agendas.
• Maintaining strong media relationships, ensuring consistent key message delivery, and advising on reputational risks and issues.
• Line management and development for two National Media & PR Officers.

Key Criteria:

• Established experience in a similar PR position, managing a news desk or a press office.  
• Experience working in a large, complex, face paced environment.
• Excellent understanding and experience working with national media (broadcast, print, online, podcasts etc).
• Proven experience landing national news stories, broadcast coverage, features, op-eds and reactive media opportunities.
• Line management or mentoring experience and the ability to lead teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders of all levels.
• Experience or familiarity with healthcare policy and public affairs and understanding of political landscape will be an asset.
• Ability to work unsociable hours.

The Communications Officer plays a significant role in the support of the delivery of AmplifyChange’s communications strategy. They are key to ensuring that AmplifyChange’s key messages and brand are effectively implemented across all of our communications channels. The Communications Officer will report to and work closely with the Communications Manager and in partnership with other teams to support content development for multiple platforms (AmplifyChange’s main website and AmplifyChange Learn, in particular), social media management, and linking and learning opportunities.

The Communications Officer will have an appetite to creatively profile and showcase the work of AmplifyChange grantee partners and support knowledge sharing opportunities. While AmplifyChange has an established set of communications channels and methodologies to share our work and the work of our grantee partners, fresh ideas and perspectives are welcomed and encouraged. The Communications Officer will be comfortable working independently and taking initiative but there will be support available from the Communications Manager and other teams where required.

AmplifyChange is a bilingual fund, working in English and French. As this role centres on effective communications across our channels to all our grantees in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions, a professional level of written French and comfort speaking the language is essential.

This role would be well suited to someone interested in pursuing a career in communications, content development and/or social media management, who has a strong interest in sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, and/or international development.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Publications and campaigns

• With the Communications Manager, develop content calendars for the year in line with costed workplan
• Support in the creative development and execution of cause day campaigns – e.g., 16 Days to end Violence against Women, International Youth Day, etc.
• Work closely with the Communications Manager to develop blogs, impact reports and other external materials
• Support the development of Grantee Stories and case studies, working with grantee partners to identify and write stories of change
• Provide editing, drafting, and reviewing support for content in line with AmplifyChange’s tone of voice and language
• Support development of Annual Report and other donor reports, where needed

Digital and social media

• Manage the daily oversight of social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky, LinkedIn)
• Disseminate news and information about AmplifyChange, such as published reports and upcoming funding rounds, through social media channels and Circle (interactive grantee partner platform)
• Create and execute social media campaigns using tools like Canva, including developing and drafting content

Linking and learning

• Provide logistical support to AmplifyChange’s engagement in external events, both online and physical
• Provide support and creative input into the development of learning materials for AmplifyChange Learn, including written, visual and audio
• Work with grantee partners in the development of content for AmplifyChange Learn
• Support the assessment of learning needs for content development, including through analytics tools where useful
• Support dissemination of content through email management platform (Constant Contact)
• Update website data as needed

Support to other teams

• Work with Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to identify and collect data to support website updates, reporting, and impact report development
• Work with Learning and Events Officer to support identification and development of potential learning materials and resources for AmplifyChange Learn and Circle platform
• Support Grants Management and Pamoja teams to identify stories of change and case studies from the overall AmplifyChange grants portfolio

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential: 

• Strong copy-editing, proofing, verbal and written communications skills in English
• Demonstrable experience working with social media platforms and support tools (such as Canva) and creating content for these platforms
• Demonstrable experience with blogging, writing reports or articles aimed at communicating key messages, and/or storytelling
• Professional-level spoken and written French
• Values consistent with the mission of AmplifyChange, including pro-choice on abortion and pro-LGBTIQ rights
• Ability to work flexibly, prioritise tasks and requests from multiple diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including those based in other countries

• A degree in communications, marketing, or English

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS 

This is a UK based, full time (37.5 hours/week) permanent position, reporting to the Communications Manager. AmplifyChange is based in Bath, and we operate on a hybrid working model. Requests for flexible working arrangements will be considered. Job Purpose:

The Trusts and Foundations Coordinator is an integral part of the Philanthropy team, responsible for managing a large portfolio of Trust and Foundation (T&F) supporters. The Trusts and Foundations Coordinator provides excellent relationship management, creating first-class donor journeys for their portfolio based on donors’ individual motivations and interests. They will ensure stewardship plans are in place for their top tier of T&F donors, and that they meet any specific proposal/reporting requirements for the donors they manage. 

The primary aspect of the role is the management of a portfolio of T&Fs, ensuring their continued support of MSF, with a focus on delivering stable and increased income for MSF’s work. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience in relationship management, marketing or sales (preference for fundraising experience) 
• Excellent and engaging written communication skills and ability to adapt style to suit a wide range of supporters
• Ability to collate and adapt MSF operational and programmatic information into donor friendly language, relevant for donor proposals and reports
• Confident interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including diplomacy and negotiating skills 
• Ability to deal with people at all levels and from a wide range of backgrounds
• Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
• Proven organisational skills with experience of managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively 
• Experience of working in an office environment, maintaining effective administrative systems and procedures
• Flexible, can-do attitude and good team player – this role involves working very closely and collaboratively with colleagues in the UK and overseas

• Lead the business performance of the home alongside the Registered Manager, delivering agreed income, occupancy, cost and surplus targets

Gathering feedback from volunteers and using it to inform continuous improvement will be an important part of this work.

Alongside programme delivery, you will oversee marketing, communications and events linked to both programmes. This includes promoting opportunities to attract volunteers from across Birmingham, supporting partners with local promotion, and coordinating online and in-person inductions, engagement sessions and celebration events. You will also support financial monitoring and reporting, helping to track budgets, manage invoices and contribute to reporting against key performance indicators.

Freelance Communications & Events Co-ordinator Remit

Marketing:

- To continue to promote and build the Scots in London brand

- To maintain and update the Scots in London website as required, especially the events calendar

- To manage the social media feeds and strategy for Scots in London

- To act as a central liaison for all Scots in London member organisations and maintain and update the contacts database

- To support all the member organisations with the marketing of their events via Scots in London marketing channels

At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.

We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi and the Galápagos Islands.  We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world. Our Mission Rabies project runs mass canine vaccination and community education in the world’s worst hotspots for the disease. Last year, WVS helped an animal every 14 seconds. We trained over 4,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,700 parcels of veterinary supplies to 261 charities in 71 countries.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Working with the wider Marketing team, devise, plan and lead the execution of fundraising appeals to meet agreed targets, growing voluntary income from both cold and warm audiences.
• Grow one-off and regular giving income, identifying opportunities for acquisition and long-term donor development.
• Build on existing programmes to create outstanding donor care programmes to increase long-term support.
• Manage the Fundraising and Admin Assistant, who will support you in developing campaigns and communicating with supporters.
• Attend networking and other events to raise both charity’s profiles and meet agreed targets.
