This is your chance to use words to drive change — turning complex global campaigns into clear, compelling stories that move people to act.
Greenpeace UK is an independent national/regional organisation within the global Greenpeace campaigning network, which acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. The global network of Greenpeace organisations comprises 26 independent national/regional Greenpeace organisations with presence in over 55 countries across Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a coordinating and supporting organisation, Greenpeace International.
As part of our in-house Creative Studio, you’ll help shape how Greenpeace shows up in the world. From high-profile campaign messaging to major reports, supporter communications and advertising copy, your words will inform, inspire and mobilise.
A strategic and audience-led writer, you’ll translate complex political and scientific issues into powerful narratives that cut through. Working collaboratively with designers, creative producers and campaigners, you’ll ensure that copy and visual storytelling work seamlessly together — delivering work that is bold, rigorous and unmistakably Greenpeace.
You’ll lead the planning and execution of major editorial projects, take ownership of high-stakes campaign materials and supporter communications, and help evolve and safeguard our house style and tone of voice across the organisation. Whether drafting web copy, shaping scripts for multi-channel outputs, or interviewing contributors for our supporter newsletter, you’ll bring clarity, creativity and precision to everything you produce.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving creative environment, enjoys working from idea through to execution, and understands how language can be used strategically to influence audiences — from committed supporters to political decision-makers.
Location: Islington, London. This role offers hybrid working, with regular attendance in the office to collaborate with the Creative Studio team. Reasonable adjustments as well as specific office-based needs will be considered for those with long term health conditions and disabilities.
You'll have
- Significant experience of writing, editing and proofreading within an in-house creative team or agency environment.
- A track record of leading high-quality copy and editorial projects across multiple formats — including major reports, high-volume supporter communications and campaign materials.
- Experience of turning complex or technical information into clear, persuasive and audience-appropriate narratives.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience of working closely with designers and creative teams from concept through to delivery.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of tone of voice, brand consistency and ethical storytelling.
- A commitment to accessibility, inclusion and continuous improvement in written communications.
- An interest in campaigning, environmental justice and non-violent direct action.
We give you
You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff. We offer great benefits such as a generous pension scheme, subsidised lunches, free yoga and a wealth of well-being resources, just to name a few. We want our team to reflect the diversity of the communities we work alongside. We’re committed to fairness, inclusion, and challenging discrimination and oppression in all its forms.
We know the environmental sector has further to go when it comes to representation. We particularly encourage applications from people of colour, disabled people, and people who identify as working class now or in the past. This is a priority for us, as reflected in our representation targets and our approach to diversity, inclusion and anti-racism.
Don’t meet every single requirement? Research shows that women and people of colour may hesitate to apply unless they meet every area of the person specification. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet all the criteria, we encourage you to apply – you might be exactly who we need.

Pause works to improve the lives of women who have had – or are at risk of having – more than one child removed from their care, and the services and systems that affect them. We want to make sure that women who experience or are at risk of the removal of children into care are given the best possible support so that it never happens more than once.
Through an intense programme of support, it aims to break this cycle and give women the opportunity to reflect, tackle destructive patterns of behaviour and to develop new skills and responses that can help them create a more positive future. In doing so, we aim to prevent the damaging consequences of thousands more children being taken into care.
We’re looking for an experienced practitioner who will work directly with women across North Somerset, as part of the North Somerset/South Gloucestershire Pause team. To succeed in this role, you will bring passion, resilience, and professional insight to support women working with Pause to make the changes that they choose that make a difference in their lives.

Lead a trusted community development charity and bring partners and businesses together to deliver long-term environmental, social and economic benefits across West Wales.
Applications close at9 a.m. Monday 2nd March.
Who we are
PLANED is a long-established community development charity that now works across Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. For decades, we have supported communities to improve their quality of life by harnessing local potential, strengthening social infrastructure and helping people turn ideas into sustainable action. Our work, regionally, brings together communities, public services, third sector partners and local businesses to deliver long-term environmental, social and economic benefit across West Wales.
About the role
We are seeking a CEO to lead our next exciting chapter. This will include developing a new and updated organisational strategy, continuing to secure sustainable funding, overseeing project delivery and ensuring the organisation remains financially resilient while continuing to grow its impact and influence.
The organisation has a strong, inclusive and supportive culture that is bilingual. The team is community-rooted, collaborative and delivery-focused, with a clear ethos of shared responsibility and mutual support. We have a team of around 18 people, the majority of whom are project funded, supported by a small core team, including the CEO.
The role requires a consistent on-site presence, with most staff working from the office for much of the week. Given our reach across West Wales, there is also regular travel required.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who will be comfortable in a village hall as they are in a meeting with national and local politicians, senior civil servants, charity or business leaders. You will be confident working across rural, coastal and Welsh-speaking communities, and able to build trust quickly and authentically.
Above all, this role requires a leader who thrives on working across all levels. Your days will often include the contrasting dynamics of both shaping regional strategy and resolving practical facilities issues across our sites.
If you are motivated by place-based impact, thrive in complex environments, and want to lead an organisation that blends professionalism with deep community connection, this role offers a uniquely rewarding opportunity.
