About the role:

ILPA is a charity and professional membership body working to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law. Our training programme is a core part of our work and one of our largest income streams. We deliver over 60 courses and conferences a year to an average of 2,000 practitioners across the UK, supporting lawyers, caseworkers, advisers and organisations working with migrants. 

The Training Manager will not directly teach any training content but will run this programme end to end, ensuring all trainings and events are delivered professionally, to a high standard. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, confidence with digital platforms and the ability to work with experienced external tutors. The post holder will shape the training calendar with support from the Training Advisory Board and maintain ILPA’s reputation for high-quality, practitioner-led training. 

Key Responsibilities 

Programme planning and development 

• Build and manage the annual and quarterly training schedule with a balance of advanced and introductory content across immigration, asylum and nationality law 

• Facilitate and support the Training Advisory Board to identify priorities and emerging issues 

• Respond to changes in immigration law with short notice trainings where appropriate

Tutor and content management 

• Contact, contract and manage ILPA’s panel of external tutors 

• Work closely with tutors on the overall planning and delivery, providing admin support in the production of accurate, up-to-date course materials 

Event delivery 

• Set up all events on Eventbrite, including pricing, discounts, communications and refunds 

• Host online events and support hybrid delivery of trainings and conferences when required, troubleshooting technical issues on the day 

Income, reporting and evaluation 

• Monitor and report on bookings, attendance, cancellations and income 

• Monitor participant satisfaction and take action where improvements are needed 

Marketing and engagement 

• Market events through ILPA’s weekly all-member update and other communication channels to reach beyond our membership 

• Respond to participant queries and ensure excellent customer experience 

Systems and administration 

• Maintain accurate records, contracts, schedules and evaluation data 

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policies

About the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association

The Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) is a charity and a professional association the majority of whose members are barristers, solicitors, advocates and IAA (previously OISC) regulated advisers practising in all aspects of immigration, asylum and nationality law. Academics, non-governmental organisations and individuals with a substantial interest in the law are also members.

Founded in 1984 by leading practitioners in the field, ILPA exists to promote and improve advice and representation in immigration, asylum and nationality law, through an extensive programme of training and disseminating information and by providing research and opinion that draw on the experiences of members. ILPA is represented on numerous government, official and non-governmental advisory groups and regularly provides evidence to parliamentary and official inquiries.

The Secretariat does not give advice to members of the public on individual cases but works closely with members to ensure that they are enabled to do their best for their clients. It runs ILPA’s busy training programme and produces a wide range of information for members and non-members.

About the ILPA Team 

You would be joining a small team, of around 10 team members. Under our current hybrid work policy, we have one anchor day (currently a Tuesday), in which you will be expected to work from an office setting in London, together with team members living in England and Scotland. On average, once a month, there will be a Working Group meeting in the evening that you will need to run in London. About You:

As the Co-production Co-ordinator you will lead on promoting and developing the co-production element of the London Service. You will manage and chair the Experts by Experience Panel which is the forum through which current and past service users can influence the development of the London DA Service (Safe Horizons London Partnership).

The Safe Horizons London Partnership supports victims and survivors of domestic abuse to cope and recover from the impact crime has had on them, as well as supporting their journey through the criminal justice process. The service delivery model has been shaped by the views of service users and you will have an important role in growing their input and influence. You will recruit co-production champions from the staff team and support them to promote the benefits of co-production and recruit more service users into the co-production function.

Safeguarding and wellbeing are important to us and you will ensure service users are supported during their membership of the Experts by Experience Panel. As a lead in this area, you will work with the management team, sharing the feedback you have obtained and helping it feed into policies and procedures. We are looking for a Support Services Officer to work alongside our nurse team to provide administrative support, with a particular focus on managing financial assistance delivered through the Rebuilding Futures Fund.

As a centre of expertise for after-care and support, we have established a successful Rebuilding Futures Fund (RFF), providing financial, practical and emotional support to people of all ages affected by meningitis across the UK.

About the Job

This role includes a wide range of administrative tasks – working with financial systems, maintaining accurate database records, coordinating the ordering of goods and services, and liaising with a variety of stakeholders. You will also communicate directly with individuals and families who have been impacted by meningitis. We are looking for someone who is organised, detail oriented, flexible, and able to demonstrate empathy and compassion for those we support.

Administration:

• Act as the primary point of contact for RFF-related work, both internally and externally, liaising with the nurse team regarding decisions and agreed actions.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Information and Support Team across all areas of service delivery.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the RFF, including creating and refining processes and procedures.
• Process all RFF applications, including conducting initial assessments.
• Coordinate the ongoing distribution and monitoring of financial awards.
• Support the marketing and promotion of the RFF, including maintaining website content and developing case studies.
• Prepare financial and activity reports in advance of monthly RFF panel meetings.
• Organise and attend monthly panel meetings and produce accurate minutes.
• Conduct desk research and gather information to support the ongoing development of the Rebuilding Futures Fund.
• Ensure compliance with Meningitis Now policies and procedures, including data protection requirements.
• Carry out other administrative duties as requested by the Helpline and Information Manager.

Data Management:

• Follow detailed Salesforce processes and procedures to a high standard of accuracy.
• Produce data and reporting relating to the Rebuilding Futures Fund.
• Ensure accurate records are kept for all RFF activities in line with data protection policies.

Communication:

• Communicate sensitively and professionally with applicants, Therapists, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Liaise with the Support Team regarding application processing and supporter enquiries.
• Share regular updates across the wider organisation on RFF activity and outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Essential Selection Criteria:

• Significant experience in an administrative role with strong IT capability.
• Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database – Salesforce or equivalent.
• Experience producing activity and financial reports.
• Experience developing and implementing administrative processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

The role
The Domestic Abuse Prevention All Risk Perpetrator Worker will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with perpetrators whose victims have been identified through all levels of risk. 

The purpose of this role is to move the perpetrator along the spectrum of awareness; acceptance of impact; desire to change; to voluntary engagement in behavioural change to end the cycle of abuse for children who are victims of domestic abuse. 

The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will work with people on: awareness raising and developing motivation to change with people who recognise they are at risk of or are harming their partner (low risk), individual case management and group behavioural change programmes (standard and medium risk), intensive case management aimed at high harm and/or significant recidivist perpetrators. To do this, the Domestic Abuse Prevention worker will work closely with existing agencies as part of a co located multi agency approach. 

The Domestic Abuse Prevention worker will work closely with the victim/survivor IDVA service to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved. 

The Prevention, Action and Support Team (PAST) provides an intensive case management service for individuals (all genders, 18+) identified by the police as high risk, high harm perpetrators of domestic abuse.  The intervention lasts 8 – 16 weeks, (with potential extensions based on the duration of the perpetrators inclusion in the perpetrator panel cohort).  Cases are referred through a police-led perpetrator panel (e.g., MATAC or DATAC).

PAST’s intensive case management approach balances support, accountability, and disruption to deliver tailored interventions that enhance victim safety, provide perpetrators with opportunity for change – while ensuring they are held accountable for their actions.

About you

You’ll have a deep understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on clients and children, as well as the reasons behind abusive behaviours towards intimate partners.

Your knowledge extends to the range of statutory and voluntary agencies that clients and their children may encounter, and you are aware of the impact of domestic abuse on children and parenting, including the additional needs of clients from BMER communities. 

You will have experience in working with clients on issues of domestic abuse, providing one-to-one and group support and advice, managing your own workload and administration, and assessing the risk and safety of your clients and those connected to your client.  You will have handled safeguarding disclosures and referrals, and you communicate clearly with a range of people both over the telephone and in person. 

You will be organised, able to use your initiative, and work effectively as part of a multi-service team. Your administrative skills are strong, and you are adept at using a computer to maintain effective systems. 

Flexible and willing to work evenings, you can travel independently. Additionally, you will have an understanding of trauma-informed practices, risk mitigation, and safeguarding. Experience liaising with social workers and other professionals, and in related areas such as substance misuse, child protection, or family support, is desirable. 

Fluency in an additional language and skills in group work are also advantageous. You stay updated with best practices and new initiatives.

As we continue to diversify and grow our commercial revenue streams, we are seeking a proactive Commercial Marketing Assistant to support the promotion of key income‑generating initiatives. These include Champing (unique overnight stays in historic churches), filming, venue hire, and an expanding portfolio of leased or licensed properties. The role also offers scope to contribute to new commercial opportunities in the future.

Working within the Initiatives and Partnerships Team and alongside the Communications Team, the role supports marketing activity across a broad range of commercial initiatives, including Champing, filming, venue hire and regional commercial activities.

The postholder will develop marketing content, manage commercial marketing channels, support campaigns and respond to enquiries to help grow audiences and revenue.

The role also contributes to research, reporting and operational support for commercial activity.
