In this rewarding role, you will work closely with service users to deliver person-centred, strengths-based support that promotes recovery, independence, and wellbeing. You will engage individuals in comprehensive assessments, support planning, and safety planning, ensuring that all plans are user-led and tailored to their unique needs, aspirations, and goals. Working collaboratively with the Service Manager/Team Manager, you will assess referrals and develop, review, and monitor support, safety, and move-on plans. You will build strong partnerships with external agencies, families, carers, and other key supporters to ensure coordinated and effective support. The role also involves helping service users access healthcare, education, training, employment, and other opportunities that support their recovery journey, while encouraging participation in social and skills-development activities that promote inclusion and confidence. As part of a flexible and supportive team, you will contribute to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment, oversee health and safety requirements, support tenancy sustainment including occupancy agreements and rent payments, and provide information and signposting to carers so they can access the support available to them.

About Us
Finchley Progressive Synagogue (FPS) is a community-based charity with income of c. £400k–£500k per year. We are supported by a small staff team and a large volunteer base.
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to undertake a short-term review of our finance processes and controls and to implement improvements where appropriate. About the Role/Role and Responsibilities
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Medair UK team as we are seeking a part-time Head of Operations. The post holder will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Medair UK's finance, HR, IT and governance functions, ensuring robust systems, effective controls, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. They will support the Medair UK Director and Board of Trustees to ensure effective governance and management of the charity in accordance with best practice and ensure a sustainable operational platform is in place to support all Medair UK’s functions. The Head of Operations will contribute to organisational strategy, culture and decision-making, while also taking a practical and proactive role in the day-to-day delivery of operational activities. The role of Audience Research and Insight Manager is a vital role, working with teams across Shelter to develop valuable insights into our key and varied audiences, ensuring user needs are valued along with the needs of the organisation, and our work is underpinned by actionable insight. Our audiences include donors (regular givers, occasional donors, eventers, community fundraisers), retail audiences (online and high street shoppers and donors), campaigners, service users, volunteers and elite audiences (journalists, politicians, policy makers, housing professionals) and corporate partners.
Role specifics
We’re looking for someone who can lead and develop audience research and insight that helps Shelter better understand, engage and support the people we work with. You’ll manage a team of User Researchers, champion user-centred and inclusive research practices, and bring together evidence from research, analytics and audience data to generate clear, actionable insights. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you’ll help teams make informed decisions about audiences, messaging and channels, while promoting an insight-led culture, monitoring external trends and ensuring research continues to shape Shelter’s strategy and impact.

This role sits in the 7-person Strategic Evaluation and Insight team which sits in the Digital and Audience Engagement sub directorate, within the Campaigns, Policy and Communications (CPC) department.
The team is a keystone in shaping and delivering the work of Shelter bringing together Strategic Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Audience insight and User Research.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
As an Employment Specialist, you will manage a caseload of up to twenty clients, applying the eight principles of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) to help individuals secure and sustain competitive employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, participating in case discussions and supervision while contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to client support. Responsibilities include developing employer relationships, identifying suitable job opportunities, supporting clients throughout their employment journey, and providing advice on benefits. You will monitor performance against key targets, maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with NHS and organisational procedures, provide ongoing in-work support, and actively engage in professional development, training, and service improvement activities.
