In September 2025 we launched an ambitious five-year strategy ‘From Neighborhood to National’ to confront the deep-rooted inequities facing children and young people. This is an exciting moment of organisational growth at The Fair Education Alliance. This role represents a significant investment in that infrastructure. You will be joining a small but highly capable operations team and playing a central role in how FEA manages and understands its finances as it grows. You will work closely with relevant members of the senior leadership team and colleagues across the organisation. 

The Management Accountant plays a central role in ensuring that the Fair Education Alliance’s finances are accurate, well managed and clearly understood across the organisation. Working as part of the operations team, the postholder maintains the financial systems and processes that underpin FEA’s work. This includes overseeing day-to-day finance operations, producing reliable management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring that financial records meet charity accounting and regulatory requirements.

The Management Accountant also acts as a trusted financial partner to colleagues across the organisation. By providing clear, accessible financial information and helping budget holders understand their resources, the role enables confident decision-making by the senior leadership team and trustees. Through careful financial stewardship, strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Management Accountant helps ensure that FEA remains financially resilient and able to deliver its mission to create a fairer education system.

About the role
Crisis is in the first year of our new strategy, and philanthropy is critical to achieving our organisational goals, especially the £20m Housing Supply campaign, an ambitious initiative at the heart of our strategy to deliver genuinely affordable homes and end homelessness for good.

You would use your proven ability to build strong relationships and secure four- to five-figure gifts to manage a dynamic portfolio of major donors and prospects, applying your understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle to engage, inspire, and retain support. Confident in working with high-profile individuals, you would use your excellent communication and influencing skills to deliver compelling cases for support, represent Crisis with professionalism, and create meaningful donor experiences.

Proactive and creative in your approach, you would work collaboratively across teams, integrate digital techniques to enhance engagement, and measure success against KPIs and targets. Above all, your work would be driven by a deep commitment to Crisis’ purpose and values, equity, inclusion, and the belief that together we can end homelessness for good.

About you

We are looking for an ambitious and relationship-led fundraiser who is passionate about making a tangible difference and inspired by Crisis’ mission to end homelessness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of moves management and the major donor solicitation cycle, using these principles to strategically cultivate, solicit, and steward high-value supporters. With a proven track record of securing four- and five-figure gifts, you will be confident in engaging and influencing high-value and high-profile individuals, understanding their motivations and inspiring their confidence in Crisis’ work. You will combine excellent communication and influencing skills with creativity and independence, managing a dynamic portfolio of donors while working collaboratively across teams to deliver outstanding supporter experiences. Are you a finance professional with hands‑on Unit4 ERPx experience and a passion for improving dog welfare?
We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Finance Systems Manager to lead the development and optimisation of our accounting system as part of our ongoing digital transformation programme.

What does this role do?
As Finance Systems Manager, you will:

• lead the development, enhancement, and administration of Unit4 ERPx, acting as the system’s SUPER‑user, subject matter expert and technology advocate.
• collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between Unit4 ERPx and other organisational systems, building strong relationships across the charity to ensure the system meets operational needs.
• maintain an effective partnership with Unit4, ensuring issues are identified and resolved quickly and efficiently.
• drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to maximise system functionality—including developing and refining reports and dashboards.
• line manage and support the Finance Systems Analyst, helping them grow their skills and capability.

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people who are life limited or life threatened. About the role

As Senior Community Partnerships Manager, you will:

• Oversee key accounts worth circa £1m across the team, seeking opportunities to uplift/evolve, whilst delivering exceptional donor experience for SME, community group, and association partners
• Be the key account manager for a range of partnerships that have the potential for growth, are higher profile or have a wider geography than one patch alone

About you

A new role, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the charity's day-to-day finances, contracts and risk management. As a member of the senior leadership team, they will support the CEO with strategic planning. A key part of the role will include financial planning and administrative support for the charity’s fundraising efforts as part of a £6.5m conservation and renovation programme. They will lead the preparation for, and presentations at the charity’s Board and related finance committees.

The postholder will ensure that the charity’s budget and out turn are closely monitored and that established financial controls, spanning the procurement to payments cycle, are firmly adhered to. They will lead budget setting, forecasting, and financial reporting (including management of the external audit and production of the annual report and accounts) and will support wider work programme-planning for the charity, setting the foundations for financial success and sustainability.
