The Business & Human Rights Centre, an international non-profit human rights organization, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Lead to support line managers on day-to-day people issues, recruitment and employee relations, making sure that people policies are compliant with national laws and regulations.

Responsibilities 

Reward 

• Co-ordinate the preparation, renewal and filing of contracts. Monitor and manage risks related to employment terms and conditions. 

• Assist in addressing issues involving benefits, leave, taxation, social security and immigration/domestic legislation requirements. 

• Provide HR
  support to the Resource Centre's four registered locations (UK - headquarters, Germany, USA, and Colombia), and the other locations where we have consultants. 

• Coordinate onboarding and exit processes for employees and consultants, including exit interviews, equipment and file handovers, and turnover of organisational assets. 

Employee Relations 

• Advise and work with line managers to manage employee relations in line with current legislation and best practice. 

• Co-develop resolution strategies to address concerns and grievances raised by the global team. 

Human Resource Policy and Systems 

• Work with the COO to continuously review, improve and update HR policies and systems in line with our values and legislation. 

• Ensure best practise in HR systems, databases and processes are maintained and monitored across the organisation. 

• Manage aspects of GDPR compliance relating to employees and consultants. 

Nurture Teams and Talent 

• With the COO, lead the development of employee engagement and retention strategies. 

• Assess learning needs across the organisation and collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement learning solutions and professional development for individuals and teams. 

• Support the performance management and review processes and work with line managers on the performance development plans of team members. 

Recruitment 

• Work with the recruiting manager to coordinate the employee and consultant recruitment process, including setting terms & conditions. 

• Organise job listings and interviews and support managers to provide a robust induction programme for appointees. 

Risk Management 

• Proactively identify risks within our HR policies and systems and develop strategies to mitigate them.

You will provide Early Help Support for Adults facing multiple disadvantages via the ‘Bringing Service Together for People in Places’ (BST PiP) programme for Manchester and the national Changing Futures programme.  Your role will be to work directly with adults liaising with linked agencies and services in the community to improve outcomes. You will need a collaborative, trauma-responsive and person-centred approach to achieve this.  You will identify blocks and barriers within existing systems and find solutions to make wider and transformational change locally. We put the involvement of people with lived experience of multiple disadvantages at the heart of delivering this service and in co-production of future delivery.

About you

You will need experience of delivering frontline services, supporting adults from diverse backgrounds with multiple and complex needs and/or multiple disadvantages. You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of Manchester based services and community assets, be able to represent Shelter externally and have an appreciation of the barriers and personal difficulties faced by people accessing local services. Proactive, creative, and collaborative in your approach, you will have great relationship building skills, a flair for leading change and the confidence to challenge the status quo.  You will also have demonstrable experience of working with volunteers and co-production to make decisions.

About the team

The team will be made up of six Navigators based across the City of Manchester, as well as a Peer Coordinator and Peer Mentors. You will hold your own caseload, supported by the Team Leader.  You will work alongside Navigators who are based within partner organisations at the Big Life Group and Back on Track, as well as a team of peer volunteers. The team is responsible for contributing to Shelter’s wider community priorities and work with internal colleagues to deliver our strategy.

We are delighted to be hiring a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer to join The Brilliant Club. This pivotal role will support the charity’s research and evaluation consultancy work through Brilliant Consulting. Through our consultancy work, we have partnered with a range of universities and education organisations, such as the Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) and The Sutton Trust. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will contribute to improving the evidence base for what works to drive fairer education outcomes and social mobility. They will do this by supporting mission-aligned organisations to conduct robust evaluations of outreach and education programmes.

The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will join a small consultancy team and will be managed by the charity’s Director of Research and Impact. The team is also supported by several colleagues from across the organisation who work on specific projects based on their areas of expertise. The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations.

The successful candidate will have strong research skills, including in quantitative research, and will be able to communicate technical information and findings to university access and success practitioners and educators. They will also demonstrate professional skills in relation to stakeholder management and project management and will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners. The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a part-time (0.7 FTE) Head of Outreach.

Our vision is for a world where bumblebees are thriving and valued by everyone.

This role will:

• Lead on the development and implementation of an Outreach Strategy that inspires people and organisations, including policy makers, to take action for bumblebees. (Aim 2 of the Trust’s strategy)
• Lead on behaviour change impact reporting, ensuring data collection methods and tools are fit for purpose, and staff and volunteers have the necessary training and support to confidently report on the impact of face-to-face outreach activities.
• Lead on project development activities and work with the fundraising team to generate income to fund the sustainable growth of the Trust’s outreach activities across the UK.

Mortlake Community Association is looking for an experienced Interim Director to join a vibrant and inclusive local charity in London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The main purpose of the role is to maintain our growing profile as a community hub and support our range of varied activities. Experience of working with service users and volunteers in a local community setting is essential. The post is offered on a fixed term 9 month contract, starting in May 2026 to align with our Director’s maternity leave.

The Interim Director is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the charity and Mortlake Hall, including staff leadership and supervision, financial management, fundraising, partnership working, building management, and monitoring and evaluation. The role requires strong leadership and relationship-building skills to ensure MCA remains at the heart of community life in Mortlake; recognised as a model of good practice within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

• Work with the Board of Trustees to implement the vision and strategic direction of MCA.

Essential experience: 

• Senior leadership or management experience within a charity, voluntary, community or not-for-profit organisation. 

• Experience working with, reporting to, or supporting a Board of Trustees or equivalent governance body. 

• Proven experience of managing and supporting staff and volunteers. 

• Demonstrable experience of securing funding, including writing successful funding bids and managing funder relationships. 

• Experience of budget management and financial oversight, working closely with a Treasurer or finance lead. 

• Experience of overseeing projects or programmes, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting. 

• Experience of managing buildings, facilities or community assets (or the ability to develop this quickly). 

Desirable experience: 

• Experience leading a community centre or multi-use community facility.

Psychotherapist / Counsellor

At Prospect Hospice, we know that facing a life-limiting illness can bring profound emotional and psychological challenges for patients, families and those who care for them.

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Psychotherapist or Counsellor to provide specialist psychological support to people navigating the complex emotional realities of serious illness, loss and end of life.

This is a meaningful opportunity to help people explore fear, grief, identity and resilience, while supporting clinical teams to deliver truly holistic hospice care.

Hours: 8 hours per week (with flexibility to meet service needs)

The role

Working as part of our Family Support Team and wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist psychotherapeutic assessment and intervention for patients and families experiencing complex emotional and psychological distress.

Your work will help ensure that psychological and spiritual care remains fully integrated within our hospice services.

In this role you will:

• Provide specialist 1:1 psychotherapy and counselling for patients and families with complex psychological needs
• Support people experiencing distress related to diagnosis, illness progression, trauma, grief and loss
• Contribute psychological expertise within multidisciplinary team discussions and care planning
• Provide consultation, supervision and training to staff and volunteers
• Lead reflective practice and staff support where appropriate
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of psycho-spiritual services across the hospice

Through your expertise and compassion, you will help patients and families find ways to cope, adapt and maintain dignity during some of life’s most difficult moments.

About you

You will be an experienced psychotherapist or counsellor who brings both professional expertise and emotional insight to your work.

You will have:

• A recognised counselling or psychotherapy qualification and registration or accreditation with a recognised UK professional body
• Experience delivering 1:1 psychotherapy in complex or emotionally demanding settings
• Strong skills in assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention
• Experience supporting people facing serious illness, trauma, grief or bereavement
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Experience in palliative care or healthcare settings would be an advantage.

The Role

The Administrative Officer will play a key role in helping to ensure the smooth running of HEP’s operations, events, and communications, and in delivering the high-quality service that underpins our success.  This role reports jointly to the Operations Manager and the Head of Communications & Engagement. 

Key Responsibilities 

Administrative Support

• First point of contact for schools, clients, suppliers, and visitors triaging issues and responding efficiently and helpfully to queries in person, via phone, and by email
• Monitoring of shared email inboxes across various teams, addressing enquiries in a timely manner
• Work closely with the Operations, Comms and CPD teams to support projects and workstreams

Event / Visitor Coordination

• Prepare and manage meeting rooms and training venues liaising with trainers and delegates
• Assist with the planning and delivery of in-person and online events, including training sessions and conferences
• Create event collateral in a professional and timely manner 

CPD Support

• Support with organising, hosting and managing the technical side of virtual and in-person meetings, training and webinars
• Support with the development of CPD promotional material including brochures and flyers
• Support with uploading HEPs training programme and events onto website

Communications and Digital Support

• Website administration support, resolving member queries 
• Help in creation and distribution of communication materials, such as flyers, newsletters, brochures,podcasts and content for social media/digital channels
• Work with the Communications Team to ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders

The role

The Operations Director will lead the development, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Action Together’s systems, processes, and organisational infrastructure. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will co-design, develop, and maintain internal systems and processes that enhance operational delivery and organisational efficiency, ensuring they are fully embedded into day-to-day use with clear ownership, guidance, and effective performance monitoring.

You will oversee core central functions including HR, Communications and Impact, Data Protection and Information Management, and Health & Safety. You will play a key role in internal digital transformation, policy development, risk management, and organisational compliance. You will produce high‑quality management information that supports strategic decision‑making, work closely with Locality Directors to standardise and enhance delivery models. In addition, with reference to our constitution and Scheme of Delegation you will be responsible for supporting governance at Board meetings, and the AGM.

The Administrative Coordinator will provide coordinating and administrative support across the Network, helping ensure smooth systems, high-quality financial administrative and shared working practices across a dispersed team. 

You will be a highly organised and dependable administrator, with experience supporting finance and digital systems, and a clear commitment to social justice and relational ways of working.

• Coordinating meetings, events and trustee processes 

• Providing hands-on finance administration, including bookkeeping using Xero 

• Supporting digital systems, CRM and data stewardship 

• Maintaining accurate records and shared documentation

This role involves working from home with some travel.
