About the role:
Single Homeless Project (SHP) and Islington Council are proud to introduce St. John’s Mansions - a brand-new, purpose-built accommodation service that will provide safe, high-quality housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and facing multiple exclusion. This innovative project is backed by the GLA’s Single Homelessness Accommodation Programme (SHAP), and represents a bold step forward in tackling homelessness across North London. SHP are building a dynamic, compassionate, and forward-thinking team to bring this vision to life.
St. John’s Mansions will offer 19 beautifully finished self-contained studio flats, designed to support residents in their journey from rough sleeping and emergency accommodation to independent living. With a stay of up to 24 months, residents will receive tailored, high-intensity support to help them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive independently.
The service will operate 24/7, with a welcoming reception and dedicated staff & clients spaces to enable both structured interventions and spontaneous, meaningful engagement. SHP will be working not only within Islington but in partnership with five North London boroughs - Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Westminster. You’ll hold a caseload of clients and take the lead on delivering person centred, strengths based support that is grounded in PIE and trauma informed approaches. This includes completing holistic assessments, co-producing support plans and risk management plans, and working consistently towards move on goals. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in the day to day running of the service, working closely with colleagues and partner agencies to maintain a safe, well managed environment, respond to emerging needs, and ensure each client receives coordinated, high quality support that supports their journey into independent living.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Campaigns to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key leadership role at an important time for the charity, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver high-impact policy change campaigning that supports real change across the UK.
Leading our campaigns team, you will drive a clear and effective approach to public mobilisation, ensuring the voices of people affected by dementia are heard and influence decision-making. This role requires someone who can step in with confidence and operate at pace. You will bring strong experience of leading campaigns and influencing activity, with the ability to negotiate, influence and drive coalitions and hold your own in senior discussions. You will be comfortable representing the organisation externally, including with partners, senior stakeholders and in the media.
You will also lead and support a small team, creating a collaborative and focused environment while ensuring delivery of high-quality, inclusive campaigning. Alongside this, you will use your political judgement and strategic thinking to identify opportunities, manage risks and ensure our work is grounded in evidence and lived experience.
We are looking for someone with a strong track record in campaigns or public affairs, who understands how to influence change within the UK health and social care landscape. Experience of partnership working and bringing organisations together to achieve shared goals would be particularly valuable.

What you’ll do
You will input and maintain donor and grant records in Salesforce, while ensuring data accuracy, monitoring incoming donations, and issuing timely acknowledgements. You will oversee due‑diligence checks, support reporting deadlines and reconcile records with Finance. You will also coordinate meetings with funders, maintain prospect lists, support research, and help identify new funding opportunities, while providing general administrative support across the Fundraising team.
What you’ll bring
You will be highly organised, detail‑focused and proactive. You will demonstrate previous experience of efficiently and accurately managing data, and providing reliable coordination support to busy teams.
Essential requirements:
- Experience working effectively in deadline‑driven environments.
- Experience using CRM databases (e.g. Salesforce).
- Ability to draft, review and quality‑check written documentation to a high standard.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Accuracy with both written and numerical information, and the ability to prioritise and process large volumes of varied information under changing deadlines.
Key details
Hours: full-time or part-time (from 28 to 35 hours per week): usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible and we would consider a four-day week.
Salary: £34,536 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.
Location: hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London office (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Development Worker to join our Rent Deposit Scheme team based in Lambeth.
About us
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
About the team
Our Rent Deposit Scheme supports young people to access safe, affordable accommodation in the private rented sector. We work closely with landlords, letting agents and local authorities to create housing opportunities and support young people to successfully move into and sustain their own tenancies.
Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts (including part-time or compressed contracts) this will be adjusted accordingly.
About you
You will have experience working with young people or vulnerable groups and a good understanding of the challenges they may face when moving towards independent living.
You will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of external partners including landlords, letting agents and local authorities.
You’ll be organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering positive outcomes for young people.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Data Protection Compliance Officer to join our central compliance team.
You will play a key role in supporting the Federation’s Data Protection Officer and the wider Central Data Protection Team. You will help ensure the organisation operates in full compliance with legal regulations, government guidelines, and best practice—making a real contribution to safeguarding data across the Federation.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
In this role, you will:
- Raise data protection awareness across the Federation
- Deliver, design and coordinate focused data protection awareness training, including analysing training needs
- Manage data incidents, ensuring swift containment, thorough severity analysis and accurate reporting
- Prepare targeted data protection communications for Data Champions
- Compile Data Protection Impact Assessments and Data Sharing Agreements

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with legal experience to join Shelter as a Paralegal/ Legal Adviser and help us deliver an effective service for people experiencing housing issues in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in standing up to the housing emergency.
About the Role
You will support our solicitors to maintain an active caseload, enabling our clients to enforce their housing rights while ensuring a high standard of client care. Your role will be varied and will include taking instructions and witness statements, drafting letters, making applications, providing court representation and making sure time recording income targets and professional and quality standards are met. You will work closely with the team in Birmingham Hub to continuously improve and integrate our services.
About you
You will need a good understanding of Civil Procedure Rules, be able to write reports and meet financial targets, as well as being able to provide a good standard of professional service and client care. You will have excellent communication skills, both in writing/drafting and face-to-face along with proficiency using case management systems and time recording. If you have housing law experience and Legal Aid/ CCMS this would be an advantage but is not essential. You enjoy collaborating as part of a team and are able to encourage and support colleagues to meet Shelter’s strategy.

Our Legal team is based around England and is made up of over 100 people, delivering housing advice and litigation services for our clients. Working closely with other teams in Shelter Services, we take referrals from them including certified litigation work, controlled work and Housing Possession Court Duty Schemes.
In Birmingham Hub we specialise in providing housing advice and homelessness work, with a particular focus on families and people experiencing multiple disadvantage. We work in partnership with a range of organisations to improve the underlying systems that prevent people from living securely in suitable, safe, affordable accommodation.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team working to tackle youth homelessness.
This role is funded by the Oak Foundation and forms part of Coram’s Voices in Action programme which combines CCLC’s legal work, Coram Voice’s advocacy support and Coram’s policy and participation work to champion young people’s rights and create change. It centres and amplifies the voices of young people through our young ambassadors with personal experience of homelessness or school exclusion. The young ambassadors campaign locally and nationally to change policy and practice and empower their peers with knowledge of their rights through workshop delivery and content creation.
Working with others across the group, the purpose of this specific role is to provide specialist housing law advice, preliminary casework and onward referrals to young people under the age of 25 experiencing housing related issues. This will include delivering regular outreach advice sessions in partnership with community organisations. The post holder will work with the Head of Community Care Law on project design, co-ordination, delivery and reporting. Supported by the Head of Community Care Law, they will be proactive in developing community partnerships and managing relationships with partner organisations.
The role will be integrated within the wider community care and public law team and will be supported by the Head of Community Care Law. Building on the existing expertise and practice within the team, there will be a particular focus on advising and supporting young people who are care experienced, should have benefited from care or are young migrants. The aim is to diagnose complex legal issues relating to housing and homelessness, to ensure young people understand their position and legal rights and are either supported to take steps to realise those rights, provided with preliminary casework to resolve issue at early stage, or where needed, referred on for complex casework and litigation either internally or externally.
The role would suit an experienced housing law advisor or caseworker. We welcome applications from solicitors and non-solicitors. The priority is experience delivering high quality housing law advice and casework sensitively to vulnerable clients with a track record of delivering against project targets and meticulous case management skills. We are looking for a committed, resourceful and determined housing law advisor with a positive and solutions focussed attitude who is able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. They will be well supported with access to training, supportive line management and will benefit from being part of a wider collaborative legal practice team. They will work closely with a paralegal and be responsible for helping to develop the paralegal’s knowledge and understanding of housing related law.
The role will be based in our offices and with regular advice delivery in outreach locations. However, some remote/ hybrid working may be possible depending on the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period. There may be flexibility over how the three days will be spread across the week (within working hours) and in accordance with the needs of the project.

The person:

To encourage and support people with complex or multiple barriers to participate in community action/volunteering and to progress towards sustained volunteering or employment. Responsible for organising a tailored package of support for participants helping them move forward on their journey to volunteering and/or employment.The postholder will plan and deliver our Improving Lives course, a 12-week programme delivered over 6-weeks that runs throughout the year.The course consists of sessions of engaging activities, discussions, visits and support that take place over two-sessions per week. Additionally, participants can access to one-to-one support and guidance to help them with volunteering or employment barriers.
The postholder will require demonstrable experience of working with people with additional support needs, training/teaching skills and the ability to monitor and evaluate learners’ progression.
