Head of Individual Giving

We’re looking for an experienced and creative Head of Individual Giving to lead and grow our individual giving programme.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll shape and deliver our individual giving strategy, overseeing the recruitment, retention and development of individual supporters. You’ll lead on our major appeals, including an annual national campaign to Catholic parishes across the UK.

You’ll also play a key role in developing new fundraising products, optimising donor journeys, and ensuring our CRM and data systems support excellent stewardship and insight-driven decision making. This is a senior position with significant scope to shape the programme and make your mark.

About You

We’re looking for a confident and strategic fundraiser with a strong grasp of individual giving and a collaborative approach. You’ll bring:

• Proven experience delivering successful individual giving or direct marketing campaigns in the charity sector
• Strong skills in supporter stewardship and donor retention
• Experience of managing budgets, teams and external suppliers
• A creative, data-driven approach to growing income
• Excellent communication skills

Funders In Good was founded to support Muslim donors in the UK who want to achieve strategic, long-term impact but lack the capacity, connections, or expertise to give effectively. We provide tailored financial grants and strategic support to social ventures serving Islam and Muslims, helping them scale, strengthen systems, and increase long-term impact. Our focus is on ventures and leaders contributing to a society where commitment to God flourishes.

Since 2021, we have grown from nine seed funders to over 130 members in our invitation-only Funder Network. Members contribute financially and through skills, receive quarterly progress reports, access events, and connect with other funders. This network is part of our wider community, which includes our team and the ventures we back.

As Funder Development Manager, you will shape this network by developing a compelling value proposition, building acquisition pipelines, nurturing funders, and curating engagement programs that deepen alignment with our mission. Success relies on both fundraising expertise and emotional intelligence: you will build trust with a diverse range of donors and philanthropists, navigating conversations about values, faith, impact, and community with warmth and confidence.

This senior, outward-facing role carries responsibility for income generation, stewardship, and relationship-building.

We are looking for a Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Assistant to provide care and cultivation of In Memory donors, Legacy pledgers and enquirers by acting as first point of contact for these supporters and delivering ongoing one-to-one stewardship across various touchpoints including face to face, over the phone and via written correspondence.

You will support the Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Team to achieve its aims and objectives through undertaking key administrative tasks and assisting with the delivery of the team’s projects including marketing campaigns, supporter events and internal promotion of Legacy and In Memory messages to a range of audiences and stakeholders.

Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic and entrepreneurial Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to supercharge First Give’s next phase of income growth. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our mission, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver a multi‑year fundraising strategy that fuels real, measurable impact for young people and society as a whole. First Give is a small charity, with a growing fundraising team and big ambitions. As the senior leader for all income streams, you will own and drive our major donor programme; unlock new philanthropic partnerships; and build a talented team across other income streams to achieve ambitious goals. • Lead the delivery of ABEC’s Business Plan, working closely with the Managing Director.

• Senior experience in software optimisation, project delivery or operations — ideally in environmental consultancy or a related field.

About the role

As Events Fundraising Manager, you will lead, shape and deliver an exciting portfolio of fundraising events, including virtual challenges, our annual Golf Day, and Headway’s prestigious Annual Awards. You will also steward supporters through major third‑party events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and London Landmarks Half Marathon.

Working closely with the wider Fundraising Team and our Communications Team, you’ll ensure every event is safe, engaging and memorable, and that every supporter receives an exceptional journey with Headway.

With an established events calendar and opportunities for innovation, this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact while helping to grow an events income stream currently worth approximately £360,000.

What you’ll do

• Plan, manage and deliver Headway’s events programme from start to finish.

The World Obesity Federation is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our MAPPS project team as a Health Systems Co-Ordinator.   This innovative MAPPS project aims to improve obesity care and prevention in health systems through improved evidence generation, coalition building, and policy engagement.

The selected candidate will:

• Support our MAPPS programme of gathering intelligence on in-country healthcare systems and practices for obesity policy, prevention and care
• Support the fulfilment of global deliverables of the MAPPS project, in which we collect data, conduct data analysis, draft report cards and infographics, coordinate academic paper(s) and briefings, and feed into key WOF reports

PMRGCAuk is a small national charity dedicated to supporting people affected by polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) and giant cell arteritis (GCA). We have a big impact, supporting patients with our small staff team and with the help of a proactive team of volunteers and working closely with leading rheumatologists and researchers to improve diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and dynamic Outreach Development Coordinator 

This is a newly created role designed to develop and support our volunteer network within the organisation. We currently have more than 50 volunteers working for us on our helpline, running local groups, administration and our online forum, HealthUnlocked and they are a crucial part of our service delivery.

Working closely with our small staff team and trustees, this role is intended to provide a solid framework for the volunteers within the organisation, as well as developing a strategy for continuing to grow our volunteer pipeline and expand our services.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and manage a volunteer strategy for the organisation

· Recruit, induct, support and manage a range of volunteer roles within the organisation, including our local group organisers, helpline volunteers and HealthUnlocked volunteers

· Support existing local groups and develop the establishment of new groups, with a particular focus on areas where we are limited in terms of numbers of groups, ie the Midlands and North of England

· Provide ongoing day-to-day support to volunteers

· Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for volunteers

· Network and liaise with local health professionals to raise the profile of the organisation and services and encourage group participation.

· Update volunteers on the latest developments within the charity and within the wider PMR/GCA community, including latest research and news

· Working alongside the Director, support the fundraising strategy to ensure sustainability of the charity and support fundraising initiatives within the community

· To support the membership strategy, taking every opportunity to encourage membership uptake, including professional membership

· Other responsibilities commensurate with the general scope and purpose of the post.

Who We're Looking For:

• A proactive self-starter with experience of working with volunteers.
• Someone with experience of working in a small voluntary organisation who recognises the needs to be flexible and adaptable
• Someone with knowledge of the UK voluntary sector and a passion for improving health outcomes.
• A strong communicator with excellent writing, project management, and financial skills.
• Someone who is confident with IT systems

Location: Home based with travel to meetings in London and in support of setting up new local groups.

This is a fixed-term contract for a period of two years. The fixed-term nature of the post reflects the charity’s current operational and financial planning cycle. Any extension beyond this date will be at the charity’s discretion based on organisational need and affordability.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Individual Giving Assistant – Supporter Acquisition, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our fundraising campaigns and projects, helping to recruit new supporters to the Charity. You’ll be one of the first points of contact for our donors, providing exceptional supporter care and ensuring every supporter feels valued. Your day-to-day will include:

• Responding to supporter enquiries by phone, email and in-person, ensuring all queries are handled efficiently and with care. 
• Thanking donors and personalising communications to build strong relationships and ensuring a positive and lasting first impression.
• Accurately recording and processing donations, and updating supporter records on our database.
• Supporting the delivery of fundraising campaigns, including creating timing plans, proofreading copy and assiting with briefs. 
• Managing invoices and helping with campaign reporting.
• Supporting the team with administrative tasks.
• Working with colleagues and volunteers to deliver the best possible supporter experience.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be an enthusiastic team player with:

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to support the team as needed.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (experience with customer databases is desirable).
• Commitment to providing outstanding supporter care and working in a supporter-focused environment.

Previous experience in customer or supporter service, office administration, or the charity sector is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.

Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is an international movement that started in the 1970s in the American prison system. AVP Britain (AVPB) is one of multiple independent branches which operate around the globe. A registered national charity, AVP Britain is committed to a world where everyone has the courage and capacity to manage conflict non-violently.

We provide experiential workshops in-person and online; and distance learning courses which give people the necessary skills to navigate conflict non-violently and empower them to build better relationships.

AVPB is a small but impactful charity with a long history of working in communities and prisons across the UK.  We are entering an important next phase in our development and are seeking a Charity Director who can provide strategic and operational leadership, strengthen our financial sustainability, increase our visibility and impact across the communities we serve, and steward our mission with clarity and care.

The Charity Director is the leader of our charity and is the most senior paid role within AVPB.  The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s present and future.

We are looking for a Charity Director who provides leadership that encompasses income generation, fundraising, oversight of our programme quality and delivery, leads and supports our support staff, volunteers, and facilitators and will works closely with the Board of Trustees.

This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a values-led organisation. This is initially a fixed-term appointment for six months, with the intention to extend subject to funding and mutual agreement.

Our mission at St. Hilda’s East is to equip our service users with the resilience to navigate modern life. We welcome everyone into our spaces and work together to deliver engaging activities, promote social contact and ultimately enrich lives. 

Located in Tower Hamlets, we welcome people of all ages to our large, friendly community centre in Shoreditch where we offer a wide range of activities promoting wellbeing and social connections. Our services include sensory play for Under-5’s, youth programmes, wellbeing activities for those experiencing mental health issues, bilingual advice, and activities to reduce social isolation and enhance physical and mental wellbeing for older people. We also run a day centre in Shadwell, where we care for elders from the Bangladeshi and other communities. 

We have a unique relationship with our founders, the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, we are located on the fringes of the City, and we generate income from hiring out space in our community centre. These opportunities make the Marketing & Fundraising Manager position varied and interesting, with plenty of possibility to grow and develop in the role. 

Job Purpose:

The Marketing & Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing St Hilda’s East’s marketing strategy and will take the lead in organising fundraising events and securing funds from individual donations, and rental and room hire income.

They will lead on communications with external stakeholders through the development and implementation of SHE’s marketing plans and social media strategy. There will be a particular focus on strengthening our unique link with the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, as well as with parents and pupils of the school – to raise awareness of the impact of St. Hilda’s East and to organise joint events. The postholder will work alongside freelance fundraisers who focus on maximising grant income.

It is not essential to have experience in the non-profit sector; we would love to hear from you if you have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment and are looking to bring your talents to the charity sector.
