Responsibilities and Person Specification:
The Stories and Participation Officer is a fundamental cross-organisational role. Working directly with older people in financial hardship, the role will source, capture and collaborate to share stories, advice and insights from older people, whilst maintaining the highest level of stewardship and safeguarding for this group and supporting organisation wide participation activity.
Reporting into the Participation Manager, you will work champion and deliver meaningful involvement and authentic storytelling to ensure that the experiences of older people are at the centre of Independent Age’s work. You will ensure that participation processes maintain and develop our storytelling expertise and follow good-practice in the sector. The role will recruit and induct older people on a low income to our Lived Experience Network, alert them to opportunities to get involved in shaping and informing Independent Age’s work, facilitate two-way engagement, and work with willing members of the network to share their lived experience and insights, including sharing their story on public and private platforms.
You will need exceptional organisational skills and the ability to proactively drive lived experience work and effective storytelling. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are essential, along with knowledge of best practice in supporting and co-ordinating lived experience participation including online and offline events, groups and meetings to create listening spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fundraising Delivery
· Deliver challenge and community fundraising campaigns and events that achieve agreed income and participation targets.

The Opportunity
This is a new and significant appointment for SWT UK. We are looking for a Director of Development to develop and lead our UK fundraising strategy – taking ownership of income generation across all streams, donor communications and supporter stewardship, and managing a team of three talented fundraising professionals.
Our individual supporter base is large globally – growing in UK – loyal and deeply engaged: many give through our elephant adoption programme, which connects them directly with named animals in our care. We are now ready to build on this engaged supporter base and develop it into a structured individual giving programme – with mid-level giving pathways, major donor cultivation, systematic stewardship and deeper philanthropic relationships. As the Community and Events Fundraising Officer, you will play a key part in ending youth homelessness in Scotland by inspiring people to support Rock Trust.
You will deliver exceptional supporter care and create meaningful experiences for everyone fundraising for us. The Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer is responsible for researching prospects, developing applications and managing deadlines to maintain and develop a strong portfolio of small and medium trust and foundation supporters, securing sustainable income for all aspects of The Brain Tumour Charity’s work in line with fundraising priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious team.
You will manage and maintain a pipeline of compelling and well-written applications and reports being submitted to small and medium trusts and foundations, ensuring excellent cultivation and stewardship of these relationships. You will work with a wide variety of people including funders, volunteers and colleagues across The Charity to gather the information you need. You will also research and identify new trust prospects, interpret funder priorities and carry out due diligence checks, updating our CRM database. The role works primarily within the Trusts and Foundations team, whilst also working with colleagues from the wider Philanthropy and Partnerships team to support cross-team activities and projects.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser with a proven record of writing successful applications, achieving four and five figure sums and multi-year grants and stewarding these relationships. You will have the ability to develop detailed and creative proposals and supporting budgets, with excellent written communication skills, research skills and a strong eye for detail and accuracy. You will work well with other teams to gather information, be able to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritise your workload.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for identifying and researching trusts and foundations, conducting due diligence checks and building a pipeline of prospects whose funding priorities resonate with the work of The Charity.
Managed by the Trusts and Prospect Research Manager, develop and manage a portfolio of applications and reports in accordance with deadlines and fundraising priorities.
Submit relevant, professional and inspiring applications and project proposals to small and medium trusts, securing multi-year awards wherever possible.
Work with multiple departments to gather information, case studies, budgets and project updates to write compelling applications and reports.
Manage trust relationships by maintaining existing relationships and being aware of each trust’s preferences and requirements. Optimising giving potential and long-term support through excellent stewardship and donor care.
Maintain reporting systems to record fundraising activity and income generation, using our CRM database.

Chefs in Schools is an ambitious charity that’s rapidly growing. Our mission is to improve kids' health, through improving school food & food education. We focus our efforts in areas of high socio-economic deprivation, where more than a third of children are entitled to free school meals, and diet-related disease is driving further inequality.
We support and train school kitchen teams to serve the best, freshest and tastiest food possible, alongside meaningful food education. We share learning and resources, aiming to inspire and enable others to follow our lead.
We’re backed by some of the biggest names in food and have ambitious targets to ensure every child has access to incredible school food and food education, setting them up for life with the skills and knowledge to feed themselves well.
About you and the role
This role comes at a pivotal time for Chefs in School and will be key to supporting our vision and ambitions for the next four year strategic period.
You will have significant experience in monitoring and evaluating programmes in a charity, non-profit, or social enterprise setting. As this is a standalone role with no direct reports, we are looking for a unique professional who is highly strategic but equally happy to roll up their sleeves and be hands-on. You will lead on high-level impact strategy, and you will also be the person designing surveys, managing databases, and directly analyzing the data.

An Empathetic & Pragmatic Collaborator: You understand that school kitchens and delivery teams are incredibly busy. You excel at designing evaluation tools that are low-burden for our partners but high-yield for our learning.
Curious & Improvement-Driven: You don't just collect data to check a box for funders; you are passionate about building a "learning culture" where findings are actively used to iterate and improve our programmes.

Key responsibilities:
Leading on developing and implementing Chefs in Schools’ evaluation and learning strategy, in line with our Theory of Change.
Owning and overseeing the impact dashboard
Ownership for embedding a learning culture, ensuring that timely and actionable insights are generated and fed back into design and delivery to support continuous improvement.
Using internal data and external research to identify what works, ensuring these insights are shared internally and across the sector in line with our strategic objectives.
Support delivery teams to collect quantitative and qualitative data using the evaluation toolkit. Ensuring data collection is proportionate and meaningful with high completion rates.
Support delivery teams to understand how impact data can help to improve and develop programme effectiveness, whilst maintaining quality.
Lead on the dissemination of findings across the organisation, including presenting at internal meetings and events
Translating data into clear, evidence-based recommendations to guide decision-making
Work across the organisation to ensure our impact is effectively communicated with external audiences.
Identify future research, evaluation and learning priorities that could strengthen Chefs in Schools’ programmes and contribute to wider sector understanding of effective approaches to improving school food.
Work with external academics and researchers to commission external evaluations to develop our evidence base and contribute to national and international studies .
Essential Skills and Experience
MEL Experience: Proven experience in a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) or impact measurement role within a charity, non-profit, or social enterprise setting.
Evaluation Design: Confidence designing and implementing practical evaluation frameworks, data collection tools, logic models, or Theories of Change.
Hands-on Data Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently collect, clean, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data. You must be highly proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable managing data platforms.
Translation of Evidence: A track record of critically appraising evidence and translating findings into actionable, practical recommendations for delivery teams.
Communication & Reporting: Ability to produce high-quality, highly visual, and engaging reports and presentations tailored to different audiences (e.g., trustees, funders, operational staff).
Relationship Building: Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and support busy operational teams to value and embed data collection.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Sector Knowledge: Knowledge of food systems, school environments, or children and young people’s health and wellbeing.
External Evaluations: Experience commissioning, managing, or collaborating with external academics and research partners to evaluate programmes.
Tech & Systems: Familiarity with specific data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) or CRM databases (ours is Beacon) to streamline data capture and reporting.

The Deputy Fitness Centre Manager is a role that is largely based on site (80:20 split) and the post holder will work a minimum of 14 hours per week at front of house, leading delivery. Shift patterns and start times will be dependent on the needs of the business. This will mean occasions when late, early and weekend work will be required. Shift location will vary between our sites. Provided staffing needs are met, the role holder will be able to work from home one day per week. They will utilise customer feedback and insight on our target market, to optimise our service.
The Deputy Fitness Centre Manager is responsible for maximising the number of students using TeamUCL Gyms and ensuring all members have an excellent user experience. They have oversight for the holistic member journey including promotion, joining, induction and retention. Ensuring both the digital and in-person experience exceeds member expectations. They will have autonomy to be agile and responsive to member needs, adapting the customer journey to the changing needs.

This new role is for a relational, disciplined and justice-minded organiser who can listen deeply, build trust across difference, identify and develop local leaders, and help people move from shared concern to collective action. Working in the Citizens UK tradition of broad-based community organising, the Community Organiser will help embed organising across the Cathedral, its parish partnerships and its civic relationships, contributing to the co-creation of Sheffield Citizens Alliance.
We are looking for someone who understands that lasting change is built through relationships, local leadership, patient listening, strategic action and negotiated public wins. The successful candidate will work confidently within the life and values of Sheffield Cathedral, while helping churches, communities and civic institutions build the power to act together for justice and the common good.
