About the role

The Head of Advocacy and Influencing is a leadership role with significant responsibility for external analysis and positioning for CIUK - including through regular updates to the board Impact and Transformation Committee. The role is responsible for providing strategic direction for CIUK and CI’s advocacy and influencing and leading the team to deliver UK and globally facing advocacy campaigns. The role is responsible for ensuring high quality publications and managing sign off and profile risks as part of CIUK’s risk management strategy. Strategic Leadership & Delivery

Play a key role in the delivery of CIUK’s new 4-year strategy. External representation and relationship management

Prepare and approve briefings, position papers, op-eds and other communications in support of CARE UK’s influencing goals. Oversee CIUK’s strategic role in Centenary Action, including representation on the Steering Group and overall coordination. 

Team and line management

Set and drive the advocacy and influencing team’s annual plans and contribution to the organisation’s strategic priorities. Be accountable to delivering on team KPIs and organisational KPIs that link to the team’s work, and for managing the team’s budget. Play a key role in the leadership of the Programme and Policy department. Provide strong line management to direct reports and demonstrate a strong personal commitment to CIUK’s equity, diversity and inclusion goals and feminist leadership principles.

About the role:

This role supports the delivery of stories and campaigns that achieve media coverage nationally and in regional media that fall outside of our hospice catchment areas.

You will lead on PR support for some key areas of the charity, including retail and volunteering.

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Estates Coordinator to join our national charity—someone who is motivated to drive continuous improvement, support a positive health & safety culture, and help us maintain safe, compliant, and welcoming spaces for all who use our services.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Estates Manager and teams across the organisation to ensure our estates, facilities, and properties are maintained to the highest standard and meet all relevant regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Health & Safety & Compliance

• Carrying out safety and compliance checks, risk assessments, and maintenance assessments.
• Supporting health & safety projects, audits, investigations, and monitoring activities.
• Creating reports, identifying areas of improvement, and contributing to a positive safety culture.
• Taking part in the Health & Safety Committee and helping communicate legislative updates across the charity.

Premises & Property Management

• Conducting premises audits and ensuring all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed on time.
• Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to deliver compliance-related works.
• Maintaining records of works, inspections, and compliance checks including gas, fire, legionella, and asbestos safety.
• Supporting the commissioning and decommissioning of properties across the UK.
• Helping manage contracts, services, and day‑to‑day estate operations at the National Office.

Salary: £23,132 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: Based at National Office, Leamington Spa with extensive travel to locations around the UK, particularly in the Midlands and the South of England.

The Digital Transformation Officer will support CCT’s strategy with the replacement/upgrade of its current digital information systems with a new fit for purpose digital environment and manage the Trust’s move to this new environment.

The Digital Transformation Officer will work with all teams within the Trust, across all levels of the organisation, assisting with implementing CCT’s Digital Transformation Strategy. They will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks involved in populating and documenting the system and the supporting infrastructure as it develops.

As the Digital Transformation Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting CCT’s strategic objectives by collaborating with cross-functional teams that leverage agile methodologies, data-driven approaches, and digital technologies. A key focus of the role will be addressing the behavioural and cultural factors that influence the success of digital transformation— using structured engagement, training, and communication approaches to support adoption of new systems.

You will be building great relationships with our Corporate members and involving them with the work of the trust and inspiring them to support our range of inspiring projects. You will use your networking skills at events to proactively find new corporate supporters, and retain our existing supporters by running corporate events on our nature reserves across the county. The role will require extensive travel throughout the county, visiting networking events and arranging relationships between corporates and our wildlife projects, such as the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre. You will have a creative and innovative approach to the role, working on new ways to secure support from businesses from across the county. You will enjoy getting involved in fundraising events that include that whole fundraising department to create new income streams for the trust.

The role of the People Partner is to work in partnership with directors and their managers, supporting and influencing the delivery of People Team services (including employees and volunteers), particularly in relation to people management. You will provide HR coaching and consulting that delivers People and Culture best practice and commercially focused HR/People advice.

You will proactively support leaders and managers to develop forward planning and good management practice with a focus on increased staff engagement and good performance from all staff. The People Partners will be expected to drive initiatives that not only attract top talent but also foster a culture where employees feel valued, engaged, and inspired by our unique Employee Value Proposition (EVP).

You will also help raise knowledge, capabilities and confidence of managers and support and drive initiatives and projects that add value to the area and are in line with the overall values of The Children’s Trust.

• Work closely with the Senior Organisational Change Manager and the other People Partners to ensure that all employees, volunteers and trustees are supported and treated fairly
• Support the Senior Organisational Change Manager in ensuring that the People Team achieves its wider organisational goals
