Job purpose
To grow DigiDAD's reach and impact by building relationships with professionals who can introduce the platform to young dads; showing those professionals how to use DigiDAD confidently with the young dads they support; and gathering feedback from professionals and young dads that informs ongoing improvement of the platform and NEYDL's outreach approach. We are currently offering an exciting opportunity to join our Information & Advice Service as our Carer Financial Wellbeing Coordinator. This countywide role will lead the development and delivery of financial wellbeing support for unpaid carers across West Sussex.
Carers often experience significant financial challenges because of their caring role. This post will play a key role in ensuring carers can access the information, advice and support they need to maximise their income, improve financial resilience, and make informed decisions about their finances.
The Carer Financial Wellbeing Coordinator will provide day-to-day line management and support to Welfare Benefits Advisors, oversee the quality of financial wellbeing services, and work collaboratively to develop innovative and accessible support for carers.
The role includes providing welfare benefits and financial wellbeing advice, supporting complex cases where appropriate, delivering workshops and training, developing resources, and identifying opportunities to strengthen our support offer.
You will work closely with teams across Carers Support West Sussex to ensure carers receive joined-up support and that financial wellbeing is embedded throughout our services. You will also contribute to service development, impact monitoring and continuous improvement, helping us demonstrate the difference our services make to carers across the county.
The role is a mix of remote/home working and community-based delivery, with travel across West Sussex required to attend meetings, deliver workshops and support carers and partners in local communities.

In response to feedback from parents and carers, the PACS project was set up in 2023 to assist Parents and Carers identifying their child as ‘at risk’. Since this the service has gone from strength to strength with Parents and Carers engaging from all 10 GM boroughs. We have securing funding to continue this project until 2027 with potential for further extensions.
Oasis is recruiting a PAC Support Worker to be part of the PAC Project.
As a PAC Support Worker you will;
· Support parent and carers that identify their child is “at risk” offering them advice and guidance, practical support and linking them in with services/groups that will provide them with a sustainable support network.
· Help parents and carers to develop projects to raise awareness of the issues they are facing, offering peer support and influence policy and system change.
· Be trained in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) and other parenting approaches to support parents and carers to respond to their children’s needs, de-escalate situations and maintain good relationships within their home.
· Delivering our ‘Encounter’ Parenting Training (based on the principles of NVR) online and in-person to groups of parents and host online and in-person support groups for parents and carers.
· Be integral to the shaping and development of the PAC project utilizing the feedback of those you are working with to ensure the project is impactful and meeting parent’s and carers needs as a priority.

We are recruiting one full time permanent Funding Officer in Newcastle upon Tyne. Funding Officers in these roles will primarily be part of the North East regional team delivering our Reaching Communities programme, with opportunities to be involved with other programmes and aspects of the Fund’s wider operations as they arise. As a Funding Officer for the National Lottery Community Fund you will be integral to supporting the organisation to deliver our strategy It Starts With Community.
These roles will contribute to ensuring that vital funding reaches communities and projects who need it most in our region. As a Funding Officer you will work as part of our North East regional team, working day-to-day alongside fellow Funding Officers, supported by a Funding Manager.
We are looking for people who will work across the region, with a focus on developing relationships and being a key point of contact for Newcastle upon Tyne.
Ideally (but not essentially) you will live in Newcastle and have good knowledge of the local area.
The Funding Officer role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from Fund offices, from home as well as conduct visits across the region. The North East regional office is in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Now we’re seeking a Supported Housing Officer to provide effective support to residents through individual support plans, with the aim of promoting independent living.
You will be helping to deliver good practice across the service, including assessing clients’ suitability for acceptance to the hostel, advising them of welfare benefits, housing, training and employment opportunities – and working with them to produce outcome focused support plans.
To join us as a Supported Housing Officer, we’re looking for:
• Experience in supported housing, with a thorough knowledge of welfare benefits, including housing benefit, and a proactive approach to rent arrears.
• Experience of assisting vulnerable people to identify personal goals through proactive and outcome focused support planning.
• Ability to deal positively and innovatively with clients exhibiting challenging behaviour, to build good working relationships, and to identify and assess risk.
• Experience of maximising income through dealing with housing benefit and welfare benefits.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload, meet deadlines and keep records.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate data and produce clear and concise reports.
• Ability to communicate, negotiate and influence – verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to work shifts on a 7-days rota system.

YMCA Dialogue is a BACP Accredited service, providing counselling services in schools since 1994. Dialogue has built an excellent reputation with schools, colleges, professionals and commissioners and the service has developed and expanded over the years, now operating across Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex.
We are recruiting for qualified counsellor or therapist to join our team and deliver our service at Felpham Community College in Felpham, Bognor Regis. You will be working with a range of clients within the Dialogue Thresholds and working to a 6-8 session model. You will be working alongside another experienced Dialogue School Counsellor and working closely with the Student Services Pastoral team at the college.
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a difference to lives of the children they work with. You will provide an ethical, professional counselling service at Felpham Community College and will establish good professional working relationships with key school staff.
This will include discussion of referrals, managing a session timetable within the school day and agreeing a process for students coming to and from sessions.
You will be required to undertake assessments with parents/carers and counselling sessions with children, complete all associated admin and attend regular clinical supervision and line management meetings.
Key responsibilities
Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
You will have a genuine interest in working with children and young people of primary and secondary school age, together with experience of building effective therapeutic relationships. You will bring a professional, flexible approach, excellent interpersonal and time management skills, and ideally have experience of counselling children and young people using creative therapeutic approaches. Experience of working within a school setting would be advantageous.
