A new three-year strategy will sustain and grow bursary provision, driving us towards the goal of achieving needs-blind admissions, whilst positioning Latymer as the independent school that sets the global standard for access, inclusion and opportunity.
Within this context, the Head of Philanthropy will play a vital role in securing the financial resources that sustain Latymer’s sector-leading bursary programme, ensuring that talent, not financial circumstance, determines access to a life-changing Latymer education.
The Head of Philanthropy role will have a strong personal focus on major gifts fundraising, whilst overseeing all philanthropic income streams — Major Gifts, Regular Giving and Legacies.
Salary circa £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

The Project Officer will provide administrative support for our work with schools delivering our Skills for Life programmes. This is a key operational role within Partnership for Children and would suit someone who enjoys systems and administration, working in a small friendly team, is comfortable juggling a varied workload, and is motivated by working for a children’s mental health charity.
About Partnership for Children
We are a small charity, founded over 20 years ago, offering a series of programmes to schools and out-of-school settings to help young children around the world communicate effectively, cope with their anxieties and difficulties and develop skills which will enable them to flourish. Our mission is to build the social and emotional skills of children across the entire nursery and primary school age range (3 – 12 years) through well-evidenced programmes and collaborative, mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships.
The Project Officer’s main responsibilities will include:
- Maintain administrative systems to enable schools and teachers to book training, purchase/renew subscriptions and buy printed resources
- Invoice schools and ensure payment is received for training, subscriptions and resources
- Administer the CRM and LMS, keeping it up to date and running reports as required
- Track income from training, subscriptions and resources against the annual budget
- Send the annual survey to schools and monitor responses
- Ensure website is up to date with prices and training dates
- Deal with day-to-day enquiries from teachers and schools who are interested in or currently running our Skills for Life programmes
Person Specification:
- Highly organised, detail-orientated with experience in and an aptitude for setting up and maintaining administrative systems
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 including using Sharepoint, Calendar and MS Teams to organise and share information collaboratively
- Comfortable maintaining spreadsheets and simple trackers and producing clear summary reports
- Experience of using a CRM to collect information, communicate with stakeholders
- Experience of using learning management systems such as Moodle
- Able to use software such as Eventbrite, MailChimp, Dropbox, Zoom and Survey Monkey
- An organised, patient approach to routine tasks that require high levels of attention to detail
- An ability to work in a small team in a charity with limited resources.
- The capacity to effectively and independently manage and prioritise multiple tasks and ensure they are completed on time and to a high standard
- Good communication skills including fluency in written and spoken English
- Calm, reliable and responsive with a focus on service to schools and teachers
Additional benefits include:
25 days annual leave plus 3 days Christmas leave and Bank Holidays pro-rated for a part-time contract. In addition, we offer up to 3 days per year for staff to carry out volunteer duties such as school governor or Trustee roles and a pension scheme.
All staff work from home. You will be provided with a work laptop to use at home. As you will be working with schools and teachers, it is likely that your working hours will align with school opening hours. You may need to attend the occasional meeting in London or Kingston upon Thames.

The Role
We are seeking a Director for Charities to lead and further develop the Company’s grant-making, philanthropy and fundraising. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering charitable strategy and ensuring the Company’s resources create meaningful, long-term impact for young people and communities.
The Director for Charities will oversee our grant-making, steward key funding relationships and play a central role in developing fundraising with members, including growing individual giving, legacies and events-based income. The role is inherently relational, working closely with charity partners, schools, dioceses, Company members and colleagues. You will support and advise grant-making committees, convene learning and engagement events, and represent the Company within external funder networks to remain connected to best practice in modern philanthropy.

Our mission is to support the 87 Church of England schools throughout Suffolk. As a diocese, we work closely with our schools which, together, educate 14,000 pupils. We are looking for an experienced education professional with successful senior leadership experience to lead our team from September, following the retirement of the current postholder. Based in Ipswich, but with travel throughout Suffolk, this post is both rewarding and varied and involves:
· Providing a range of support, training and advice to Headteachers and Governors
· Leading a small and highly effective team
· Leading the work of the Diocesan Board of Education, developing policy as the national education landscape changes
· Promoting education in Suffolk and representing the diocese as the lead on education
· Working across the diocese more widely as a senior member of diocesan staff
· Working with the Department for Education and local authority on a range of school issues
· Working as part of a strong and supportive network of national and regional Directors of Education and with the Church of England’s National Society for Education on policy development and issues

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an organised, proactive and professional Personal Assistant to provide high-level support to the Director of Secondary Education at the Harris Federation. This 1-year fixed-term maternity cover role is central to ensuring the smooth running of the Director’s day-to-day operations, including diary management, stakeholder communication, meeting coordination and the preparation of key documents.
As part of our Head Office team, you will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across our secondary academies, playing an important role in supporting the Federation’s mission to deliver an outstanding education for thousands of young people. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Your responsibilities will include:
- To present the professional and welcoming face of the Harris Federation and all secondary academies, to all visitors, staff and students, in person and on the telephone.
- To ensure that the Director’s diary is managed efficiently and effectively. This will involve liaising with a variety of external and internal stakeholders.
- To provide a daily/weekly diary and documentation and maintain an overview of approaching deadlines.
- To maintain the Director’s contacts.
- To maintain an exemplary professional environment for the Director at all times.
- To ensure that all visitors are welcomed and catered for in a professional manner, organising refreshments as appropriate.
- To exercise complete discretion when dealing with issues of confidentiality and sensitivity.
- To take all telephone calls, in the first instance, dealing with queries, passing on calls if necessary.
- To keep the Director’s meetings file and retrieve necessary paperwork as and when meetings arise.
- To be responsible for organising meetings and passing on messages between all stakeholders, parents/carers, external agencies and students and the Director.
- To liaise with clerks to Governors to ensure that all relevant paperwork and correspondence is efficiently managed for all the secondary academies.
- To support the Director with the preparation of paperwork and presentations for a range of meetings including interviews, disciplinary hearings, grievances, performance management, presentations, training sessions etc.
- To liaise with Federation admin teams, Data, HR, IT and Finance Business Managers, as well as PAs and Principals across the Federation as appropriate.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent experience in previous roles
- Trained in the use of a variety of ICT packages
- Knowledge of personal assistant roles and responsibilities
- Training in typing and formatting of a variety of documents including spreadsheets
- Experience of managing staff in relation to the PA role
- Some experience of human resources e.g. recruitment and/or monitoring attendance
- Experience of working to targets and deadlines
- Experience of managing meetings including preparation and circulation of papers, minutes and ensuring information is circulated as required
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to be flexible
