About the role
The Legacy Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the legacy marketing programme, including strategy implementation, campaign execution, budget management and performance against KPIs. You will deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns that help reach new audiences, as well as unlocking the great potential we have within our committed supporter base. You'll be skilled in delivering activity that acquires, converts, stewards and retains legacy supporters to ensure sustainable future income growth. You''ll have expertise in driving legacy consideration, growing supporter value, and growing and strengthening the legacy pipeline to achieve our targets.
Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, the Legacy Relationship Manager, and with colleagues across the organisation, you will be accountable for achieving agreed acquisition, conversion, engagement and future income objectives for the legacy marketing programme. You will lead, manage and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, supporter journeys and supporter stewardship across paid media, direct mail, email, telemarketing and events. You'll be data-driven and supporter-led, ensuring all activity contributes to a best-in-class supporter experience that builds lifetime value.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and be accountable for the delivery of multi-channel legacy marketing plans, achieving ambitious KPIs across consideration, conversion, retention and income. Use the most effective channel mix to ensure we target the right individuals with the right message at the right time.
- Work as part of a high-performing marketing team, delivering insight-led, data-driven campaigns and supporter experiences that respond to our audiences' needs and motivations, build trusted long-term relationships, and increase lifetime value.
- Lead and manage the planning, delivery and evaluation of legacy marketing and stewardship activity, including budgets, timelines, stakeholder management, creative development and performance reporting.

About you
To be successful, it is important that you have/are:
- Proven experience delivering legacy and/or fundraising programmes, with a track record of growing legacy pipelines, increasing conversion and maximising supporter lifetime value.
- Strong retention marketing experience, including developing multi-channel campaigns, audience planning and supporter stewardship strategies.
- Experience designing and optimising supporter journeys that enhance the supporter experience, deepen engagement and drive action.
- Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns across direct mail, email, telemarketing, SMS and digital channels, including paid search, paid social, audio, print, press and DRTV.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and insight to evaluate performance, optimise campaigns and inform decision-making.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience managing external agencies and suppliers, including creative, telemarketing and fulfilment partners.
- Experience developing compelling fundraising and marketing content and creative to drive engagement and response.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Communications Plan and Content Creation

Develop and deliver the annual communications and marketing plan, working with senior leadership to align activity with organisational priorities.

Plan, create and manage high-quality written, visual and multimedia content across media, social media, newsletters, presentations, speeches and campaign collateral.

We’re looking for an experienced fundraising leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and take the next step into a broad senior leadership role.
As Head of Income Generation and Communications, you will lead Cosmic’s fundraising, marketing and communications function, with responsibility for sustainable income growth, team leadership and strengthening our profile.
