Finance Manager / Financial Accountant (Charity) – GWT
Full-time or Part-time (28 hours)

Join Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust (GWT) and use your finance skills to support nature’s recovery across Gloucestershire. We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Accountant to lead the day-to-day running of our finance function. This is a hands-on role overseeing transactional finance and payroll, strengthening financial controls, and improving board reporting — with line management responsibility for two Finance Officers.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing day-to-day finance operations (AP/AR, credit control, banking, journals, payment runs, month-end routines)

• Owning and maintaining cashflow forecasts (weekly/monthly), highlighting risks and actions early

• Overseeing payroll end-to-end, including reconciliations, pensions, HMRC compliance and year-end tasks

• Leading monthly close and key balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring an audit-ready trail

• Maintaining and improving board reporting packs with strong version control and reconciliation to source data

• Supporting good restricted/unrestricted fund controls and applying charity finance compliance in routine reporting

• Working confidently with finance systems and improving processes, templates and documentation (including Xledger and Access CRM)

• Line-managing and coaching two Finance Officers, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Significant hands-on finance experience with charity experience essential

• Strong experience in cashflow forecasting

• Experience building/improving board reporting packs and senior-level reporting

• Payroll oversight experience (processing, pensions, HMRC, reconciliations)

• Excellent attention to detail, deadline management, and people skills

• Confidence picking up and working with less familiar systems (e.g., Xledger, Access CRM)

• Strong Excel skills

• Qualified-by-experience welcome (degree not required)

Desirable:

• Payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP Foundation/Practitioner or equivalent)

• VAT experience, ideally including Partial Exemption

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people who are life limited or life threatened. When time is short, every moment is precious. With a newly formed integrated team and an upcoming £5m appeal, Acorns is seeking a senior leader to review, refine and scale its approach to corporate and community income.

The Head of Partnerships is a senior leadership role responsible that will lead a newly integrated Partnerships Team covering corporate new business, corporate account management and community fundraising, ensuring clear tiering, structured pipeline progression and robust income performance.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Fundraising, you will hold full responsibility for corporate and community income targets, budgets, forecasting and return on investment. You will also act as the Partnerships lead for the fundraising appeal, co-canvassing alongside the Head of Philanthropy and executive leadership, and mobilising corporate and community networks around key campaign moments.

As Head of Partnerships, you will:

• Lead and integrate Corporate and Community fundraising into a cohesive partnerships strategy aligned to the wider Fundraising Strategy
• Design and implement a three-year corporate and community income plan, with full budget and forecasting responsibility
• Conduct an audit of current partnerships activity, pipeline and resource allocation to ensure effort aligns to regional and national potential
• Establish a clear tiering framework, ensuring smooth progression from new business into account management and appropriate movement from community into corporate relationships
• Support the development of corporate executives into major donor relationships where appropriate
• Lead corporate new business acquisition, securing multi-year strategic partnerships, Charity of the Year agreements, cause-related marketing, sponsorship and stock generation partnerships
• Lead high-value pitches and negotiations, positioning Acorns credibly within the ESG and CSR landscape
• Increase C-Suite engagement and develop the Business Ambassador strategy
• Oversee structured account management, ensuring robust account plans, relationship mapping and retention strategy
• Develop scalable fundraising products for schools, universities, faith groups, clubs and smaller businesses
• Lead clearer prioritisation and KPIs across the regional community team
• Manage volunteer ambassador programmes and lead the strategy for golf days and key sporting initiatives
• Personally manage a small portfolio and own an income target
• Line manage senior corporate and community leaders and contribute as an active member of the Fundraising Senior Leadership Team

Essential skills and experience:

• Strong corporate fundraising background within a charity setting
• Proven track record of securing six-figure corporate gifts
• Experience managing and motivating teams to deliver robust income targets
• Experience designing strategies, annual plans and budgets and adapting them as required
• Strong knowledge of the corporate landscape, regionally and ideally nationally
• Confidence leading high-value pitches, negotiations and senior stakeholder engagement
• Experience of forecasting, reporting and managing income performance
• Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and fundraising compliance

• Experience across both local and national corporate partnerships

About the role

The Senior Legacy Manager will lead the development and delivery of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s legacy programme, ensuring legacy giving is embedded across fundraising and marketing activity and is front of mind across the organisation.

This role is responsible for managing our legacy marketing programme, working closely with the marketing team to deliver compelling, sensitive and effective activity. The postholder will also oversee our outsourced legacy administration partner, ensuring legacy gifts are processed efficiently, compliantly and in line with best practice, through regular performance monitoring and review.

Working across the Fundraising and Marketing Directorate, the Senior Legacy Manager will champion legacies as a vital form of support, collaborating closely with all teams in the directorate. This will include working with the major donor team to identify and develop high-value legacy opportunities and supporting the community engagement team to integrate in-memory and legacy messaging into the community talks programme and engagement activity within the community.

The role also plays a key part in connecting our legacy and in-memory programmes, working with the community engagement team and the Deputy Director to develop a joined up in-memory strategy that ensures a coherent and compassionate supporter experience.

About the person

You’ll be an experienced and confident legacy fundraising professional with a passion for building long-term impact. You’ll be a strong collaborator who can influence across teams and seniority levels, and a persuasive advocate for the importance of legacy giving. You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery, ensuring legacy activity is well planned, insight led and supporter centred. Comfortable working across disciplines and a self-starter, you’ll play a key role in embedding a culture of legacies across London’s Air Ambulance Charity.

The Role

As Senior Fundraising Manager (Major Giving), you will lead the development and implementation of an ambitious new Major Giving strategy to secure and maximise funds from high-net-worth individuals. Your focus will be on nurturing relationships with existing donors while identifying and engaging new prospects, driving initiatives including Giving Circles and Development Boards.

You will work closely with senior leadership, Trustees, and key stakeholders to craft compelling cases for support, aligning with YMCA’s ambitious new housing strategy and broader organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors, developing tailored engagement strategies to inspire long-term support.
• Plan and execute donor stewardship activities, including bespoke events, face-to-face meetings, and personalised communications.
• Work with senior leadership and Trustees to build strong relationships with philanthropists and high-value supporters.
• Develop and deliver compelling proposals, impact reports, and updates to donors.
• Identify and research prospective major donors, developing strategies to engage them effectively.
• Implement YMCA’s ambitious Major Giving Strategy which projects an ever more important focus for this area.
• Oversee the Major Giving income and expenditure budget, providing accurate forecasts and performance reports.

We oversee the Motability Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year. As Insight Officer, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of insight and evidence across the Insight Team, helping to ensure that research outputs are timely, accessible and well used across the organisation.

What you will be doing:

Working closely with your colleagues in the Insight Team, you’ll contribute to research delivery, rapid evidence reviews and executive-style insight summaries.  You’ll also support the coordination of research activity and help maintain shared evidence resources that underpin organisational learning and decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Producing clear and concise insight summaries and rapid evidence reviews to support policy, strategy and operational decision-making

· Analysing primary qualitative and quantitative research data (e.g. survey datasets, interviews and focus groups), under the guidance of Research Managers

· Accurately summarising research findings, identifying key themes and patterns, and drafting structured outputs for review

· Supporting the delivery of research projects across the Insight Team, including contributing to research tools, data collection and reporting

ABOUT THE JOB

Job Purpose 

We are looking for an exemplary people-oriented administrator to provide administrative support to the Gestalt Centre CEO and the workstreams she manages. An important role in the organisation, working with senior leadership and across teams, in a welcoming and supportive environment with opportunities to learn and grow on the job.

Areas of work and responsibility

• Administrative Support to the Gestalt Centre CEO
• Coordinate and support projects and workstreams the CEO leads on: Operations, Communications and Marketing, Short Courses and Post Graduate Qualifications, HR, Finance, Policies, Fundraising and Health & Safety.
• Liaise with the CEO and the leadership team to update the organisational plan and workstream plans, also keep track of relevant priority actions and progress.
• Provide administrative support for governance processes such as the Annual Financial Audit, Trustee Board meetings, the Charity Commission and Companies House submissions.
• Provide administrative support to the organising and running fundraising activities and events.

Policy Campaigns Officer

A permanent position has arisen as part of the continued growth of our campaigns work within our friendly Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns department. The Policy Campaigns Officer will play a key role in helping the charity deliver high-impact campaigns that mobilise supporters, influence policy, and raise awareness of issues relating to dementia research.

In this role you will support the Campaigns Manager to deliver integrated advocacy campaigns aligned to Alzheimer's Research UK’s strategic objectives. You will contribute to the coordination, development and implementation of activity that connects public mobilisation with policy and government influencing priorities.

You will bring proven experience of working on advocacy or policy-focused campaigns, or in a closely related field where influencing decision makers and engaging the public has been central to your work. You will understand how campaigning activity contributes to political or institutional change and will be confident supporting the delivery of campaign tactics across digital and offline channels.

Senior Early Diagnosis Programme Manager

The Senior Early Diagnosis Programme Manager is a key role as we develop and evolve our early diagnosis programmes at Bowel Cancer UK. The role will provide strategic and operational leadership across the charity’s awareness and engagement programmes and the new Bowel Towns programme.
