About the role

MAP is looking for a professional institutional funding manager with vast experience in securing bilateral and multilateral grant and a track record of achieving income targets. As the Head of Institutional Funding, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and execution of MAP's institutional funding strategy. Your responsibilities will include establishing and nurturing relationships with key institutional donors such as UN agencies, FCDO, SIDA, and Irish Aid, as well as crafting compelling project proposals and ensuring compliance with all contractual and reporting requirements.

You’ll bring strong experience gained in a similar role for a charity, campaigning organisation or membership body; and you’ll demonstrate past success in generating income through digital advertising and email marketing. A fantastic communicator, you’ll translate LCC’s work into compelling cases for support, building a year-round programme of multi-channel fundraising and member acquisition campaigns.

• Strong experience using email marketing platforms to build supporter journeys and run email fundraising campaigns or appeals.

It would also be beneficial to have:

• Knowledge of Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics.
• Experience articulating compelling cases for support.
• Experience running multi-channel digital advertising / fundraising campaigns.
• Good understanding of paid search/display advertising.
• Experience using CRM systems to run reports, analyse campaign effectiveness, and segment audiences.
• Experience using content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal.
• Experience commissioning creative suppliers such as graphic designers, illustrators, animators, filmmakers.

Job purpose

This role will lead and coordinate Women in Prisons’ external communications, platforming the voice of women with lived experience of the criminal justice system to raise the organisation’s public profile and awareness of the criminalisation of women.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Coordination

2. Systems

· Lead on our paperless working processes

Role overview:

The Finance Manager will work closely with the CEO, Treasurer, and bookkeeper to manage daily financial functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive financial performance - including budgeting and forecasting. 

• Contract and working conditions: This is a fixed-term role (initially 18 months) which we envisage will transition to a permanent position. Hours will initially be 17.5 hours per week with remote and flexible working arrangements. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be based in the UK.

• Strategic responsibilities: The Finance Manager will support financial target delivery, ensure robust financial systems, and align financial processes with organisational growth and strategy. 

• Operational duties: Responsibilities include preparation of management accounts and all financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, grant management, VAT and tax compliance, audit support, and process improvements. The role also involves liaising with external suppliers and stakeholders and overseeing payroll and pension scheme implementation and management.

• Governance and compliance: The Finance Manager will ensure adherence to the requirements of the Companies Act, Charities Act, and HMRC regulations, ensuring we prepare and submit our statutory accounts on time.  You will coordinate the annual audit, review internal controls, and report financial risks to the ESPE leadership.

• Leadership and collaboration: The role includes providing financial guidance to coordinators and teams to support informed decision-making. 

• Required experience and skills: Candidates must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT/ICAEW) with at least three years experience in financial or management accounting, preferably in a professional body or learned society. Proficiency in accounting software, and having significant knowledge and understanding of VAT (ideally across Europe), analytical skills, communication, and project management skills are essential. 

• Personal attributes: The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, resilience, collaborative skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and alignment with ESPE’s mission. You should be proactive, enjoy challenge, be capable of working under pressure, and skilled in influencing and strategic thinking. In this role you'll manage our 470,000 strong online campaign community and lead offline activities to get the attention of decision makers.

This is a crucial role that helps us to secure meaningful social change and communicate our influencing work to our campaigners and the public.

We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include regular days working from our London office (minimum once per month, but also as and when meetings or campaign events dictate.) Your travel costs to the London office are not covered by the charity.

Education Delivery Manager

As our Education Delivery Manager, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of our national programmes, ensuring they run smoothly, professionally, and with real impact. You’ll coordinate logistics, oversee delivery partners, and ensure schools and volunteers have a brilliant experience from start to finish. You’ll work closely with the Education and Impact Manager to uphold quality standards and embed safeguarding and risk management across our programme cycles.

You’ll also manage our coordination team, setting clear priorities, supporting their development, and guiding them through busy delivery periods. As part of Young Citizens’ management team, you’ll help shape a culture of proactive leadership, clarity, and accountability. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, relationship‑driven, and energised by leading delivery in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of national education programmes across primary and secondary portfolios
• Manage timelines, logistics, resources, and delivery partners for peak delivery periods
• Line-manage our small coordination team, providing regular 1:1s, coaching, and performance reviews
• Build strong relationships with schools, volunteers, venues, and partners
• Ensure safeguarding, risk management, and high-quality standards are embedded throughout delivery
• Support operational planning, evaluation, and reporting to senior leadership and funders
