Key Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of individual giving, patron schemes and donor development initiatives.

We definitely don't expect you will have experience in all areas of fundraising - though it's a bonus if you do!

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, which you can choose to work over five days or a 9-day fortnight. We also are open to this role being worked on a part-time basis on a minimum of 28 hours per week.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created senior management role reporting directly to the CEO. We see it as critical to our future fundraising success and to the overall development of the charity.

This is a role for a new business ‘seeker’: we need a commercially minded individual with a strong track record of securing new, significant funding opportunities; proactive and creative prospecting; building a credible pipeline; and setting and meeting ambitious targets.

As well as being able to confidently represent the charity and evidence significant relationship-building skills across all funding streams, the successful candidate will work purposefully and collaboratively with senior management colleagues and our Trustee Board, and will have line management responsibility for the fundraising team.

We are looking for someone who can become part of our longer-term fundraising vision on a permanent basis, helping to shape and deliver sustainable growth. We recognise, however, that the right person may be looking for an interim opportunity, therefore we are also open to a shorter-term appointment for a candidate who can deliver a significant, measurable impact in that time.

What You Will Do

• Develop and implement an overarching income generation strategy, setting ambitious annual and 3-year fundraising targets

• Deliver and convert new, significant funding opportunities across corporates, trusts and foundations, and high net worth individuals

What We Are Looking For

You will bring:

• Senior fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing significant, transformational funding, not necessarily from a charity background

• Experience across multiple funding streams, in particular high value trusts and foundations, corporates and major donors

• A proactive, creative and ambitious approach to prospect identification and relationship development

• Confident and effective communication skills, being able to represent the charity credibly at the highest levels

• Strong writing skills, with the ability to produce nuanced, compelling and tailored proposals

• Experience of line managing a fundraising team

About the role

South West Heritage Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Manager to help strengthen our long-term financial sustainability and grow our charity fundraising activity. The position

The Head of Fundraising & Business Development is one of three new senior leadership roles we're creating alongside our CEO, the first time OUTpatients has built a leadership team of this kind. It's a rare chance to build an income generation function from scratch, not inherit and manage one that already exists.

You'll be the driving force behind how we fund our growth: designing and delivering a multi-channel income strategy spanning trusts and grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving and commercialised education products, and personally securing the gifts and partnerships that sustain our peer support, healthcare education and advocacy work. To successfully lead the Grants team and raise voluntary income from a range of Grantmakers including Trusts, Foundations and local Government grant funders contributing to an overall team target of £1-million +. Working effectively with a grants team of three, and across the organisation, you will meet team annual targets of circa £675,000 through finding new opportunities, building excellent relationships with funders and managing the team effectively. This will lead to more young people reached by Eikon’s services.

Responsibilities

Income generation

· Lead responsibility for raising current annual team target of £675,000 for restricted and unrestricted income

· Work to agreed metrices including an annual target of £220,000 - £250,000/year with a pipeline including statutory, national & regional grant funders (some being invite only).

· Develop and lead networking plan (internal/external) to secure long-term grant and statutory funding opportunities to help increase financial income year on year.

Account Management

· Lead a stewardship framework, ensuring excellent account management of funders across the team (including own portfolio)

· Lead plans for the year, thinking creatively to develop new engagement opportunities such as panels, breakfast meetings and other events

· Collaborate with other leads and managers in the team to maximise opportunities through relationships, for example Major Donors, Corporate partnerships and Individual Givers.

Management

· Line management two staff members (Senior Grants Fundraiser and Trust Fundraiser), creating a positive and supportive working culture supporting them to meet their targets

· Lead on managing pipeline information on Donorfy, being able to pull reports for information and analysis including:

o Provision of data and narrative for monthly team meetings

o Contribution to Board reporting with narrative and pipeline information

o Analysis for annual planning sessions

Quality and standards

· Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.

· Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.

· Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.

Finance and resources

· Budget responsibility with authorisation up to agreed limits

· Work collaboratively with the Communications Lead to devise annual communications and marketing plans, ensuring Eikon is strategically positioned externally.

First Light

The Development Team secures vital funding to support core programming and public engagement, exhibitions, collections care and major capital projects at Royal Museums Greenwich. We work with philanthropists, companies and trusts & foundations, building a community of generous and loyal supporters from our Patrons Circle and legacies to major grants and corporate partners. Our current focus is to secure a team target of £2M revenue income in this financial year, and deliver the funding needed to deliver First Light, a landmark capital transformation of the Royal Observatory Greenwich.  

First Light is an £85M project to deliver an ambitious schedule of much needed repair to the unique built heritage, vital capital improvements to the site plus an embedded programme of activities to build the nation’s science capital. A focus on physical, cultural, intellectual and financial access will ensure that everyone can enjoy, and benefit from, all the Observatory has to offer.

Aiming to break ground winter 2025 and reopen in spring 2028, First Light will affirm the Royal Observatory as THE centre for the public understanding and enjoyment of astronomy - a place of awe and wonder.

This is an exciting time to join the Development Team as we begin to plan a high-profile public campaign, seek to secure a principal gift to close the campaign and liaise with our ambassadors to build our reach and reputation.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Development Business Operations, the Campaign Manager, First Light will deliver vital fundraising activity in support of this capital campaign - working with colleagues to maximise fundraising opportunities, engage supporters and ensure the successful delivery of campaign events, communications and donor engagement activity.

Key responsibilities include to lead delivery of the First Light fundraising campaign to agreed objectives and timescales through the creation of fundraising materials and webpages and the delivery of a successful public fundraising campaign. The role will manage regular campaign communications for all stakeholders, co-lead on the organisation and delivery of a gala fundraising dinner in 2027 and coordinate major donor meetings and events for the campaign. There is also the opportunity to travel through the management of a fundraising visit to the USA in 2027.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of planning and delivering events. They will have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong teamworking skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships. 

This is a full-time, fixed term role until 30 June 2028 in Band 5 - Management and Proficient Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm, with an additional hour to be agreed upon with management. Occasional evening and weekend working will be required to ensure the successful delivery of First Light campaign events.

Salary: £38,568 per annum.

Philanthropic Partnerships Lead – Trusts and Foundations (parental leave cover)

Organisation: Global Greengrants Fund UK

Salary: Salaries at Global Greengrants Fund UK (GGF UK) are dependent on applicable salary scales, internal pay policies including equity considerations and budget. Due to the ways in which salary negotiations perpetuate existing structural inequities, GGF UK has moved away from salary negotiation processes for any candidate. Our best offer for this position is £70,600 per annum.

About Global Greengrants Fund

Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) supports grassroots activists and civil society organisations around the world working to address environmental and social justice in over 160 countries.  GGF applies a participatory and decentralised model in making grants to grassroots groups through regional and thematic boards of advisors, global partner networks and independent funds, to support grassroots environmental and social justice action.

Global Greengrants Fund comprises two organisations: one located in the USA, Global Greengrants Fund Inc (established in 1993), and Global Greengrants Fund UK (established in 2012). The two organisations work closely together with a shared grantmaking programme and strategic collaboration at the senior leadership level. GGF UK consists of sixteen staff members working on fundraising and influencing philanthropy; finance; communications; and operations, with all of these functions operating autonomously but in close collaboration with their US counterpart functions.

Global Greengrants Fund has experienced tremendous growth over the past two years and we are thoughtfully, yet rapidly, growing our annual grantmaking, our philanthropic advocacy, and our global partnerships and collaborations to new levels as part of our ongoing transformative journey.

The Role

The Philanthropic Partnerships Lead – Trusts & Foundations will contribute to Global Greengrants Fund UK’s fundraising and partnership objectives by stewarding a portfolio of existing and new Trust & Foundation supporters to secure significant restricted and unrestricted grants and donations for the organisation. Working as part of the Philanthropic Partnerships team and reporting to the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, the postholder will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the global organisation Global Greengrants Fund, particularly within the Programmes, External Relations and Finance functions.

The Candidate Profile

The post holder will be an experienced, senior-level fundraising leader with a track record of securing and developing successful collaborations with trusts, foundations and partner organisations to achieve ambitious income goals; extensive experience in developing pitches, proposals, and fundraising products; and a strong interest in environmental justice, international development or human rights issues. They will have an extensive knowledge of the funding and philanthropy sectors in the UK and Europe; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and be confident in engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including at senior levels.

The candidate will excel in relationship building and interpersonal skills, capable of managing complex relationships and politics. With excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, they will be adept at developing compelling proposals, presentations, reports, and other fundraising materials. Additionally, they will demonstrate strategic, innovative, and analytical thinking, with a strong capacity for complex problem-solving and decision-making.

The right candidate will understand Global Greengrants Fund’s core values and be committed to the guiding principles and mission of Global Greengrants Fund and ensure they uphold them in the way they take up the responsibilities of the role. The Role

The Development Team secures vital funding to support core programming and public engagement, exhibitions, collections care and major capital projects at Royal Museums Greenwich. We work with philanthropists, companies and trusts & foundations, building a community of generous and loyal supporters from our Patrons Circle and legacies to major grants and corporate partners. Our current focus is to secure a team target of £2M revenue income in this financial year, and deliver the funding needed to deliver First Light, a landmark capital transformation of the Royal Observatory Greenwich.

This is an exciting time to join this busy, tight-knit fundraising team, to work across all fundraising disciplines and to play a vital role in our future success.

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Development Business Operations, and working with all our fundraisers, the post holder will play a vital role in creating action led prospect pipelines.  

Key responsibilities include the identification and assessment of new prospective donors to increase Royal Museums Greenwich's donor pool - based on a solid understanding of current projects and priorities. Prospect pipeline activity will be supported by detailed research profiles and due diligence, ensuring that fundraisers are informed and focussed and to ensure prospect cultivation actions and deadlines are regularly recorded, kept on track and on target.

The role is responsible for maintaining the department's systems, processes and data - always aware that effective management maximises income generation and donor engagement and always seeking improvement in these areas. This role has responsibility for day-to-day management of, and training on, the fundraising database: Blackbaud’s RE NXT. The database is a vital tool in recording fundraising opportunities and actions, recording gifts, stewardship and donor interactions with Royal Museums Greenwich. As such, a good understanding of data protection law and how it is applied will play a large part in this role.

The successful candidate will have a track record in successful research, an interest in the heritage sector, and will demonstrate strong writing and analytical skills. They will be able to work on their own initiative, as well as having an understanding of the importance of data management and how process improvement can lead to more efficient working.

This is a full-time, permanent role in Band 6 - Management and Competent Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with management. Occasional evening working will be required - as part of the wider team - to support fundraising events.

Salary: £31,400 per annum.

The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Fundraising and Grants Manager to join our team. This is a pivotal role that will help strengthen and diversify Runnymede’s income generation and support the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability.

Working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the development and delivery of Runnymede’s fundraising strategy, identifying and securing funding opportunities across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, consultancy, individual giving and high-net-worth individuals. You will also manage relationships with existing funders, oversee grant management and reporting, and maintain a strong funding pipeline.

This role will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop compelling funding propositions and ensure fundraising activity is aligned with Runnymede’s priorities. You will also help build fundraising confidence and capability across the organisation, supporting a culture where income generation is a shared responsibility.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be the right person for this role if you have strong experience of fundraising and income generation, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, develop compelling proposals and secure funding.

You will bring excellent relationship-building and communication skills, alongside strong strategic thinking and the ability to manage multiple funding opportunities, deadlines and relationships effectively. You’ll be proactive and strategic, with good judgement in assessing fundraising opportunities and developing sustainable income that supports Runnymede’s mission.

You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment and be confident working with senior colleagues, external partners and funders. Experience of working across different income streams and a commitment to Runnymede’s mission would be highly valued.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior fundraising professional who combines strategic thinking with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for making a tangible difference.

The Fundraising Manager will lead on the development and growth of several key income streams, including:

• Major Donors
• Corporate Partnerships and Giving
• Regular Giving
• Gifts in Wills (Legacies)

Working in close partnership with SUDEP Action's other Fundraising Manager (who oversees Community fundraising, Trusts and Grants and other aspects of our in-memory giving), the postholder will also share responsibility for the development, delivery and performance of wider fundraising activity across the charity.

A significant aspect of this role will involve re-engaging existing high-value supporters while identifying and cultivating new prospects. The ideal candidate will be confident networking, opening doors, building meaningful relationships and inspiring people to support a cause that may be unfamiliar to them.

The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including fundraising colleagues, the CEO, and wider management team, drawing upon their expertise to develop effective fundraising plans, test assumptions and ensure the charity is represented professionally, authentically and consistently.

Given the nature of SUDEP Action's work, the role also requires sensitivity, empathy and the ability to engage thoughtfully with people affected by epilepsy and bereavement.
