The Data, Evaluation and Learning team enables Impact on Urban Health to embed learning at the heart of its work, ensuring evidence is used to drive impact in Lambeth and Southwark and to advance our understanding of urban health.
The Head of Learning leads Impact on Urban Health’s approach to turning evidence into organisational insight, learning and influence. The role is responsible for building the systems, practices and products that help us synthesise what we are learning from programmes, innovation, place-based work, evaluation, research, lived experience and external evidence, and use that learning to shape strategy, funding, delivery and external influence. Working closely with the Head of Data and Evaluation, the role ensures evidence is not only generated to a high standard, but actively interpreted, shared and applied. In doing so, the role contributes to Impact on Urban Health’s reputation as a credible and trusted voice on urban health and health equity.
This role will provide senior leadership for how IoUH learns from its work, makes sense of evidence, and turns insight into action. The postholder will be expected to bring structure, judgement and momentum to a developing function, helping the organisation move from generating evidence to using it consistently and well.
The postholder will also provide expert input to other parts of the Foundation where relevant.

The role:
This is an exciting role within the Communications Team at Glass Door Homeless Charity. The Marketing Officer will lead on the creation and delivery of multi‑channel marketing campaigns that drive engagement, help generate vital income and maximise impact across our Communication and Fundraising activities.
This is a highly collaborative role with the Fundraising team, acting as a strong marketing support function for fundraising appeals, events and community fundraising.
This role will also provide marketing support to the wider organisation to encourage engagement across a wide-range of audiences; from supporting with key messaging in Volunteer newsletters, to ensuring clear messaging for front-line service collateral to helping draft a speech for a flagship event.

Lead, plan and deliver campaigns from concept through to evaluation, producing engaging content, and continuously optimising performance using data, audience insight and clear KPI’s.

Oversee development and delivery of quarterly e-newsletters and assist colleagues with their email marketing to ensure on brand and in line with overall digital calendar.
Work closely & collaboratively with the Digital Communications Officer to create and ensure all content is optimised for multiple purpose/platforms and in line with our brand guidelines.
Manage website content, landing pages and user journeys to improve audience experience and conversion using SEO and key-word optimisation.

Monitor impact
Produce monthly, annual and ad-hoc reports on the impact of our marketing campaigns against key KPI’s and metrics across email, web and socials using tools within Google, SEO and Social platforms.
Work closely & collaboratively with the Digital Communications Officer to ensure all conversions of paid promotion are tracked effectively and monitor campaign performance across digital channels, identifying opportunities to improve engagement.
Analyse marketing journeys for collaborative Fundraising deliverables – including appeals and events and create monthly reports to share success of conversions.
Monitor and follow trends within digital and innovation to improve the organisation’s digital presence and activities.
Ensure marketing activity complies with relevant data protection, privacy and governance requirements.

About the role

Yn 2024, daeth swyddfeydd lleol yng Nghymru ynghyd i wneud cais am ac ennill cyllid grant rhanbarthol a chenedlaethol gan Lywodraeth Cymru - Advicelink Cymru (y Gronfa Gynghori Sengl) - rhaglen a weinyddid yn flaenorol drwy'r sefydliad cenedlaethol. Creodd y llwyddiant pwysig hwn gyfle i ail-lunio'r ffordd y mae'r sefydliadau cenedlaethol a lleol yn cydweithio, gan gynnwys gweithio ar draws rhanbarthau, er mwyn ymgysylltu â'i gilydd, cyflawni effaith ac osgoi dyblygu.
Wedi'i lleoli o fewn ein Tîm Cymru, mae'r rôl hon yn cynnig capasiti a phrofiad ychwanegol hanfodol er mwyn cyflawni ein huchelgeisiau o ran gwella'r ffordd rydym yn cydweithio â'r rhwydwaith lleol, ychwanegu gwerth, sicrhau camau gweithredu effeithlon a chydlynol, a sicrhau ein bod yn ymatebol i gyfleoedd newydd a rhai sy'n dod i'r amlwg i gynyddu ein heffaith. Drwy feithrin perthnasoedd, casglu adborth, mewnwelediadau ac effaith, a hwyluso cyfleoedd i gydweithio, gallwn ddarparu cyfleoedd ystyrlon er mwyn hwyluso dysgu a chyflawni effaith ar y cyd. A varied, people-facing community fundraising role at a cause that genuinely matters, ideal for someone earlier in their fundraising career who wants real responsibility from day one.
The Gurkha Welfare Trust has supported Gurkha veterans and their families in Nepal for nearly 60 years. Gurkhas have served in the British Army for more than 200 years as soldiers of extraordinary courage, loyalty, and bravery. When their service ends, we make sure they are not forgotten. We deliver financial aid, medical support, clean water, education and housing through 21 Area Welfare Centres in Nepal and India, supported by a passionate UK fundraising team based in Salisbury.
The opportunity
This is a brilliant role for someone who thrives on variety. You will be at the heart of the Trust's community fundraising programme, supporting individuals and groups raising money on our behalf, managing our presence at events like Armed Forces Day and country shows, coordinating volunteers, and helping to grow a programme that is actively expanding its national reach.
It is a fixed-term maternity cover role of at least one year, with the option to extend. The team is experienced, ambitious and supportive and this is an exciting time to be joining, with a new strategy driving real growth.
