About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker, on a full time basis (35 hours per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our London & South East Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the London & South East Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.
Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

Join Catch22 as our Interim Payroll Specialist and play a central role in delivering a best-in-class payroll service for our people. You’ll lead a proactive, customer-focused payroll function, ensuring colleagues are paid accurately and on time, and supporting smooth onboarding. The Payroll Team is responsible for ensuring that salaries are paid correctly, on time and in compliance with HMRC rules. As the Payroll Specialist you will be solely responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s payroll and pension schemes are run in the most efficient manner, ensuring accurate payments are made to staff on time, and ensuring that all tax law and other associated regulations are complied with. Additional information

Caxton Youth Organisation:
Caxton Youth Organisation is the only specialist youth club of its kind for learning disabled and autistic young people in Westminster aged 11 to 25. There is nowhere quite like Caxton Youth Club; that’s what the young people we work with and their families tell us, and we passionately believe it too.
Caxton has been around for 77 years, quite something for a small but mighty charity, and our longevity says so much about the importance of the services we provide to ensure young people with disabilities in Westminster are able to advance in their personal development, develop a sense of belonging in our community, and lead independent and fulfilling lives.
The majority of our work is delivered at our dedicated youth club in South Westminster. Our youth work team focus on young people’s social and emotional wellbeing, independence, employability, creating community and opportunities, social action and health & getting active. All these topics are explored during weekly youth club sessions which take place in the evenings, and young people are supported to attend thanks to our very own Caxton minibus which collects and drops participants home across the borough. Action Village India (AVI) is a small UK based organisation that since 1989, has been supporting Indian partner organisations who work alongside villagers in some of the most remote parts of rural India so they can improve their lives, livelihoods and resilience. At the heart of our work, are our partnerships; many of which have spanned decades. - Salary: £30,000 pro rata
- Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days), ideally Wednesday and Thursday

Accessibility

Key responsibilities
Fundraising and donor management
- Research, develop and submit fundraising proposals to trusts, foundations and major donors
- Maintain accurate fundraising trackers for applications and reporting deadlines
- Coordinate partner inputs for monitoring and donor reports
- Support the Executive Director with fundraising and reporting to trusts and individuals
Events
- Plan and manage Action Village India events across the year
- Attend fundraising events (including evenings and weekends, as agreed)
- Attend WOMAD festival and support delivery of Action Village India’s stall and presence
Individual giving
- Plan and deliver regular appeals and supporter communications
- Develop new ways to engage supporters and grow individual giving income
- Build strong supporter journeys to retain and deepen engagement
Communications and development
- Create compelling fundraising and supporter communications
- Contribute to newsletters, annual reports and appeals
- Coordinate content for events and exhibitions, including WOMAD
- Work with partners to generate stories, updates and visual content
- Manage organisational content such as leaflets, webpages and reports
- Work closely with the Communications and Administrative Officer on social media and CRM content
Person specification
Essential experience
- Minimum three years’ experience in fundraising (trusts and foundations, events and individual giving)
- Proven success securing funding from UK trusts and foundations
- Strong proposal and report writing skills
- Experience co-organising fundraising events
Knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of UK trusts, foundations and institutional funders
- Understanding of the international development and solidarity sector
- Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection and the Fundraising Code of Practice
- Excellent written communication skills for diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Excel
Personal qualities

As an interim Supervising Solicitor in Public Law, you will supervise and carry out CPAG’s public law legal aid cases, to benefit families and children in poverty. You will play an active role in managing CPAG’s legal practice and conduct high-profile public law litigation.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about using the law to advocate for the rights of, and directly improve the lives of, families in poverty. The ideal candidate will be a solicitor (E&W qualified) with experience of conducting public law litigation and legal aid (publicly funded) work. You will be able to supervise the casework of colleagues, such as CPAG’s junior or trainee solicitor(s) and welfare benefit advisers. You may have experience of working with clients in vulnerable situations or with additional needs, for example, survivors of domestic abuse, refugees, disabled people or children and young people.

About this role: Based in Higher Openshaw, East Manchester, Justlife currently works across Manchester and Tameside providing one-to-one key work support to empower vulnerable adults housed in temporary accommodation (TA) to move towards more secure housing, independent living and improved health and wellbeing. The role of Specialist Support Worker involves playing an active part in the Specialist Support Team by supporting a caseload of clients that are experiencing housing vulnerability and taking part in regular outreach visits to TA’s across Greater Manchester on the Justlife minibus. The role requires the use of specialist knowledge and relationship skills to support clients with varying degrees of mental and physical health, addiction and trauma related issues to engage with health services and to access suitable housing solutions. The Specialist Support Worker is also expected to develop good working relationships with TA Landlords and Managers recognising the important role that they play in ensuring that their tenants experience of TA is as positive as possible. This will include advocacy in registering them for medical services and accompanying them to appointments, assisting them in addressing all aspects of physical and mental health and addiction needs, as well as advocating for them to get access to suitable housing and social security benefits. The role is dependent on excellent communication and collaborative working with colleagues and a variety of partners and professionals, including the Probation Service, local council services and other third sector organisations. The role requires a high degree of motivation in addition to creativity and flexibility to support people with multiple and compound needs. With a passion to work collaboratively with others for the good of our clients, and with experience of working in a related field in a voluntary or paid capacity. A high degree of emotional intelligence is required to support clients, many of whom have complex emotional needs, with backgrounds of trauma, neglect, abuse and involvement in the criminal justice system. In a role of this nature you will experience a range of emotions from joy to grief and as such it requires a high degree of resilience and self-awareness to cope with the emotional demands of the role. The role sits within a highly supportive team with all staff in receipt of regular line management and external clinical supervision; with reflective practice actively encouraged in team meetings.
