Role Overview: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of The Vavengers Charity. Working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees, the COO ensures the organisation operates efficiently, sustainably, and in accordance with its charitable objectives, governance requirements, and legal obligations. The COO will oversee the charity's day-to-day operations, work closely with the CEO to improve organisational systems and processes, manage operational risks, and support the delivery of high-quality frontline, campaigning and convening programmes while fostering a positive and inclusive organisational culture. Key Responsibilities

Main Tasks
Project Management
· Manage the set up and delivery of a new Speaking Our Minds project in a medium-size charity.

Oral History & Heritage Collection
· Lead the collection of a minimum of 25 oral histories documenting LGBTQ mental health heritage.

· Coordinate transcription, metadata creation, cataloguing and archive preparation.
· Oversee collection of photographs, documents, memorabilia and contextual materials that support interpretation of MindOut's history.

POST OUTLINE
This is an impactful role working in a supportive and collaborative environment. The Volunteer Manager is responsible for implementing a sustainable volunteer strategy, onboarding journey and programme across the charity. This varied role oversees the promotion of volunteering, internal and external relationship building, all stages of volunteer recruitment, HR checks and onboarding and the coordination of an effective volunteer mandatory training programme.
