The Programme Manager will coordinate and drive delivery of the North Central London Gambling Harms Reduction Alliance, a major two-year initiative involving partners across all five NCL boroughs, NHS, Thrive LDN, voluntary and community sector partners, King’s College London, and people with lived experience.

The Youth Adventure Trust's outdoor challenge events are a vital source of funding for the charity, and the relationships we build with our participants and corporate partners are more important than ever. This is where you come in.

As our Challenge Events Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our exciting challenge events portfolio.You'll work on bespoke corporate team-building challenges, high-energy industry networking events like the Hike Bike Paddle for the sports and outdoor sector and the Housebuilders Challenge, and our popular open events like the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the Somerset Cycle. 

Challenge events not only enable people to raise amazing sums for the charity, but are also a fantastic way to engage supporters with our work, giving them the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the outdoors and achieve things they never thought possible - similar to our work with the young people on our programmes.

The Challenge Events Manager role is a varied position which would be perfect for somebody who has event management experience. You will be responsible for the full event cycle, from the initial planning, participant recruitment and stewardship to on the day event delivery and post event follow ups. You will be somebody who can spot opportunities, take on a project and run with it. You’ll be an excellent communicator, happy to pick up the phone to chat to event participants, deliver pre-event webinars or create engaging participant emails. You’re self-motivated, well organised, able to multi-task, a strong administrator, a fantastic team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy being outdoors. You should also have some fundraising experience, ideally in a paid capacity but in a voluntary capacity would also be considered.

You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager, who is highly experienced in delivering our challenge events, but needs time to develop new corporate partnerships which is why we have created this new role. You'll also line-manage our Events Fundraising Officer who plays a key support role on the events. You must live in or near the South West as there will be a semi-regular requirement to attend in person staff meetings, visit programmes and join event planning sessions.

About You

You’re a people-person, self-motivated and highly organised. You are as comfortable managing a budget and a CRM database as you are standing on a mountain side in your waterproofs! You’ll have:

• Event Expertise: A proven track record in delivering successful fundraising or challenge events.

• Fundraising Experience: You might be an existing fundraiser or somebody who has taken on fundraising activities in a voluntary capacity. You will need to be able to relate to the challenge participants and guide them on how to reach their fundraising targets.

• Agility: The ability to think on your feet and adapt plans dynamically when situations change on the ground.

• Leadership Skills: Experience managing staff or volunteers and the ability to motivate a team.

• A Passion for Adventure: A genuine love for the outdoors, comfortable in wellies and waterproofs with an understanding of 'the power of the outdoors'.

Our client is looking to appoint a Regular Giving and Legacy Giving Manager to oversee a sector-leading, multi-channel appeal programme to increase numbers of gifts and donors to the University. Following the launch of this leading universities bold and ambitious strategy they are preparing to launch a comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Regular Giving and Legacy Giving team will play a pivotal role in bringing about a step-change in regular, mid-value and legacy donations to the University.
 
You will oversee and implement the overall strategy and supporter journey for alumni and donors primarily through direct mail, telephone, email and social media.
 
After an internal promotion, an exciting role has arisen with opportunities for the postholder to oversee an award-winning acquisition campaign, a brand-new mid-value programme and a successful legacy marketing programme.  You will be instrumental in building collaboration with the Alumni Engagement team to promote philanthropy and take alumni on a journey to their first gift.
 
This position is based in West London (Central Line) offering a hybrid working pattern of mostly 2 days a week which are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some requirements to come in 3 days per week when needed.
 
What you would be doing:
 
Working across the Regular Giving & Legacy Giving team, you will oversee supporter journeys for donors, working on cases for support, appeal development and data segmentation. You will have the opportunity to pilot new ideas as well as delivering a mature and sector-leading programme.
 
Working across Advancement, you will build relationships with key internal stakeholders especially the Alumni Engagement team, Major Gift, and Event teams to capitalise on opportunities to embed regular giving and legacy messaging in all University activities.

• Successful track record, in direct-marketing fundraising in Higher Education or the charity sector
• Proven track record of line management and professionally developing members of staff
• Ability to build strong relationships and collaboration among key stakeholders and teams

About the role

We’re seeking a Direct Marketing and Acquisition Officer to join our high-performing fundraising team.

2025 was our best year yet for income and this role is pivotal in helping us to take the next step in growing our supporter base and future income.

This new role will be responsible for planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns to recruit regular donors, using data-led insights, audience segmentation, and performance tracking to optimise activity across digital, direct mail, telemarketing, and face-to-face channels.

The role will also focus on growing our lottery programme, converting new players into regular supporters, and developing retention strategies that maximise long-term commitment and lifetime value.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver effective multi-channel acquisition campaigns across digital and offline channels.
• Lead and grow our lottery programme, managing promotional campaigns, partner relationships, and retention strategies.
• Develop and implement supporter retention strategies to engage both new and existing supporters.
• Work with the Digital Engagement and Communications team to create engaging content and calls to action.
• Analyse campaign performance and supporter data to optimise acquisition strategies.

At Epilepsy Action we recognise the power of collaboration and teamwork, so our team members with hybrid contracts can expect to work a minimum of 40% at our office in Leeds. On average this is 2 days a week, normally on Mondays and Thursdays, for full-time employees. You will be required to travel regularly to deliver face-to-face training within schools, colleges, community settings and workplaces across Yorkshire.

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly-motivated creative campaigner to support our work in reducing the environmental harms caused by advertising. You will become an expert in the tactics used by major oil firms to maintain their social licence to operate, including advertising, PR and lobbying; as well as co-developing creative interventions and strategies to counter these. You’ll keep a watching brief on how big oil firms respond to cultural and political trends regarding climate and net zero, attend coalition meetings in Britain and mainland Europe and join a growing movement to end the greenwashing practices of the world’s worst polluters.

About Adfree Cities

Adfree Cities is a network of ‘Adblock’ groups across Britain. We campaign to reduce the harms of corporate advertising by building grassroots power to oppose plans for new billboards and showcase community arts, nature and ad-free space as positive alternatives. We lobby for policy change at a local council and national level and work with a growing network of allies to address the social and environmental impacts of advertising. In particular, we work closely with the ‘Badvertising’ campaign to stop adverts fuelling the climate emergency.  In recent years we have supported councils such as Edinburgh, Sheffield and others to prohibit advertising for polluting products on council-controlled sites. We’ve filed successful complaints to the UK ad regulator leading to greenwash adverts by Shell, Total, HSBC and Toyota being banned. We supported a coalition of groups to instigate Parliament’s first debate amongst MPs on banning fossil fuel advertising and sponsorship in July 2025. 

What we do:

• Hold the line: We stop new advertising sites in our cities. We support residents and community groups to oppose planning applications for new digital billboards.
• Positive alternatives: We showcase arts, nature and ad-free space as positive alternatives to corporate advertising.
• Movement building: We produce resources, train new organisers and run events to raise awareness about the impacts of corporate advertising on mental health, wellbeing, environmental damage, climate breakdown, body image and the local economy. We also contribute to international coalitions working to reduce the harms caused by advertising.
• Lobby for change: We engage in a constructive dialogue with the advertising regulator, local councils and MPs to strengthen the regulation and legislation of advertising.

We are currently a team of six part-time staff based in Bristol.  We are an official partner to the Badvertising campaign which aims to stop advertising fuelling the climate emergency. This includes ads and sponsorships for cars, airline flights and fossil fuels. Badvertising is a project run by the New Weather Institute with Adfree Cities.

Big Oil Creative Campaigner: Primary Responsibilities

a) Keep a watching brief on the fossil fuel industry

• Develop expertise in the tactics used by major UK oil firms to maintain their social licence to operate, including outdoor advertising campaigns.
• Maintain a ‘watching brief’ on the major political, marketing and policy movements of UK-headquartered oil firms, for example through news articles and social media. (e.g new partnership and sponsorship announcements, business decisions or new advertising campaigns)
• Liaise with other movement actors working to end the advertising and marketing practices of major fossil fuel companies (Big Oil), especially UK-headquartered firms 

b) Develop and deliver creative campaign interventions

• Co-create artistic interventions to expose misleading greenwash practices of major oil firms. Examples and inspiration from other groups include Darren Cullen’s Hell Bus, Glimpse’s spoof advertising agency Atmospheric, Brandalism’s ‘subvertising’ campaigns, Badvertising’s Ministry for the Climate Emergency, Fossil Free London’s street protests and Channel 4’s documentary Joe Lycett vs the Oil Giant. 
• Develop press plans around these interventions
• Deploy a health message framing around the topic of advertising for high carbon products and create outreach plans to engage health workers and air pollution campaigners around the need for fossil ad bans

c) Liaising with policymakers and delivering workshops

• Deliver workshops about advertising for high carbon products to policymakers, campaigners and residents.
• Travel to different parts of Britain to run events, build local campaigner networks and lobby local councils. This will include co-managing transport and logistics of our Billboard Dystopia art installation – supported by other members of the Adfree Cities team.
• Support Adfree Cities’ policy team in engaging councils wishing to implement a ban on advertising and sponsorship for high carbon products, especially in collaboration with publlic health officers.

Days per week: 3 days per week.
Start Date: Late February 2026 / March 2026
Salary: £34,000 pro-rata.
Contract: 2 year fixed term contract – with the possibility of extension depending on funding.

Overall Purpose of the Role 

The purpose of this role is to manage great quality, high impact marketing, brand and communications to support our funding, fundraising and supporter goals liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

• Lead the delivery of marketing materials and campaigns from brief to evaluation using project management tools to set, monitor and evaluate progress  
• Develop and implement plans for marketing and communications activities, using a wide range of tactics to reach target audiences, setting objectives, KPIs and making the best use of tactics.  
• Use a wide range of tactics to reach our audiences, making the best use of digital and social-media marketing, e-comms, Trust internal communications channels, events, PR, celebrity supporters and other relevant tactics.  
• Collaborate with the Evelina London and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Trust Communications Teams to agree plans and look for opportunities to work together to maximise impact.

• Delivery across brands, through effective end to end project management and prioritisation as well as ensuring alignment of stakeholder expectations. This could include managing the delivery of the following –brand awareness and fundraising campaigns, impact reports, branded merchandise, case studies, challenge event collateral, digital assets, hospital onsite collateral, pull up banners, posters, leaflets, DM packs, fulfilment materials, digital assets including videos, photography and animations for social media  

Central to your role will be: 

• Leading project groups to deliver outstanding campaigns

Celebrity engagement and media 

• Provide specialist support in developing opportunities involving celebrity engagement.  
• Provide support and matrix management to the Senior Media Officer (Trust employed) to ensure we are maximising media and PR opportunities  

Budget and supplier management 

• Manage project and campaign budgets including invoicing and regular financial reporting.

Work environment 

The post holder should expect to:

Policy Campaigns Officer

 

A permanent position has arisen as part of the continued growth of our campaigns work within our friendly Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns department. The Policy Campaigns Officer will play a key role in helping the charity deliver high-impact campaigns that mobilise supporters, influence policy, and raise awareness of issues relating to dementia research.

Working across digital and offline channels, you will support integrated campaign planning and delivery, contribute to evaluation and insight, and coordinate activity across multiple teams.

ABOUT US

Not all young people have the same opportunities in life. Caudwell Youth exists to level the playing field for young people at risk. We support young people up to 25 years, who face real challenges in their lives. They may experience mental health challenges, be leaving care or be at risk of exploitation or offending.

We provide person centred support through volunteer-led mentoring for up to 18-months, alongside a targeted intervention programme called Shaping Futures for high-risk young people. Founded by the philanthropist John Caudwell in 2022, we now support young people across Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Slough, Buckinghamshire, and Luton.

Over our first 3 years as a charity, our work has consistently achieved exceptional outcomes for at-risk young people. 95% reduced offending behaviour, 64% reduced their exploitation risk, 83% reported improvements in their mental health and 45% had moved into education, employment or training. When a young person makes progress, families and communities benefit too. In fact, economic analysis shows that for every £1 invested in our programme, we save the public purse £6.05.

Unfortunately, demand for our service far outstrips supply, meaning we have often had to close our waiting lists. Whilst the risks and challenges young people face continue to grow. We currently support around 400 young people. The driving ambition behind our forthcoming strategy is to reach more.

To achieve this we are setting out to develop and expand our programmes. To become a national charity. We will do this working with at-risk young people, empowering them in everything we do. Our ambition to support more at-risk young people is shared with them.

Purpose of Role:

Provide strategic leadership on all Caudwell Youth’s external communications, ensuring they are effective in driving engagement and delivering our strategic goals.

Responsible as part of the Senior Leadership Team for the overall leadership of Caudwell Youth. Promoting the mission, vision and values of the charity, and the development and implementation of our strategic plan.

Key Duties:

Corporate leadership

• As part of the Senior Leadership Team work with the Board of Trustees to: develop and progress the organisation’s strategy, set and manage the organisation’s budget and ensure risks are managed effectively
• Lead by example, instilling a values-led and inclusive culture, with strong youth involvement

Commnications

• Lead on brand strategy, developing the brand to become more youth-led, reviewing our visual identity, core messaging, content and channels.
• Be responsible for digital strategy, leading development of our website and social media channels.
• Be responsible for our CRM, maintaining good data practices and delivering timely, integrated communications to our key audiences.
• Lead the development of communication plans, storytelling, assets and content; increasing the proportion of content created and delivered by young people.
• Provide the framework and support for youth participation in communications activities, working effectively with the Operations teams.
• Work with young people to identify influencers and celebrity/ambassador support to raise awareness and support our brand values.
• Lead proactive and reactive media engagement; including crisis communications with support from the CEO and John Caudwell’s PR team.
• Ensure our brand and communications convey a powerful case for support; working with the Fundraising team to create compelling donor communications to recruit and engage challenge participants and donors.
• Develop and deliver marketing strategies for volunteer recruitment to enable our mentoring programmes to grow.
• Gather and share the views and experiences of young people to influence change, building policy and campaigns activity as resources allow.
• Oversee the production of digital, printed and physical assets as required.
• Lead and manage the Communications team effectively, supporting development to maximise performance.
• Ensure effective processes and analytics are in place, reporting to SLT and the Board of Trustees on KPIs

​Administration

• Manage the Communications budget
• Be responsible for our marketing software, including CRM, and adhere to data retention schedules.
• Act as Data Protection Officer for Caudwell Youth
• Undertake and identify training as required and take a positive approach to personal development.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks deemed necessary.

Experience:

Essential

• Proven experience in senior communications roles.
• Sound leadership and team management experience, with the ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve targets.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in communications, media relations/PR, advocacy and/or marketing.
• Experience of involving beneficiaries in communications activities, preferably young people
• An good understanding of GDPR.

Desirable

• Experience of working on charity communications
• Knowledge or experience of fundraising practices
• Experience of policy and campaigns
• Experience of working with young people
• Lived experience that aligns with the young people we support

Skills:

• Ability to work strategically and collaboratively as part of a senior leadership team.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling.
• An understanding of developing support journeys to promote engagement
• Proficiency in digital marketing and social media management.
