Role

Sexual violence in prisons has long been ignored, leaving men without adequate support. Over the past year we have been part of a committee with HM Prison Service, Metropolitan Police and NHS England to create a Service on responding to serious sexual assaults within prisons in London. We want to raise awareness amongst prison staff of the appropriate responses to sexual violence and gather information about the needs of male survivors in prison to inform future service provision.

About the role

As an interim Supervising Solicitor in Public Law, you will supervise and carry out CPAG’s public law legal aid cases, to benefit families and children in poverty. You will play an active role in managing CPAG’s legal practice and conduct high-profile public law litigation.

The role

As Manager of Philanthropic Giving, you will lead myaware’s trusts, foundations and high-value philanthropy fundraising, driving sustainable income growth through a strong and well-managed funding pipeline. You will shape and deliver strategies to secure both restricted and unrestricted income, manage the full bid lifecycle, and build long-term relationships with trusts, statutory funders and high-net-worth individuals.

Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership and trustees, you will develop compelling funding propositions, steward funders through excellent reporting and engagement, and represent myaware at meetings, events and networking opportunities. You will also maintain accurate records through our CRM system, track performance against targets, and contribute to income planning and reporting. This is a strategic and hands-on role with real impact for people affected by myasthenia.

The Manager of Philanthropic Giving will be predominantly home based within the UK (with occasional working and meetings at Derby HQ) and will work in co-operation with the fundraising team and all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising targets and campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

Role Purpose

The Finance Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the charity, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, robust financial controls, and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping and Financial Operations

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using appropriate accounting software.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including income, expenditure, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.

Person Specification

Essential

• Qualified and experienced bookkeeper (e.g. AAT or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience of bookkeeping and financial administration, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit setting.

Reporting to the Chair of the Trustee Board, the Chief Officer

• Is responsible to the Trustee Board for the management and leadership of Citizens Advice Woking,
• Represents Citizens Advice Woking to funders, partners and stakeholders,
• Ensures the delivery of a high quality, impartial and confidential service, utilising both paid staff and volunteers,
• Is responsible for the continuing funding, planning and financial management of the service,
• Represents the organisation in Woking and contributes to the overall provision of strategic advice services in the borough.

In particular, the priorities for the Chief Officer in 2026/27 will be to:

• Manage CAW’s external relationships with our funders and the Woking community generally, to ensure satisfaction with the delivery of current projects, and their continuation,
• Collaborate closely with the other Surrey LCA Chief Officers to respond to the changing funding landscape. In parallel, continue to identify and deliver local projects for local funders,

You would be working with our Professional Services/Welfare Rights Manager to advise our members on their welfare rights.  You would also work closely with our National Support Service Team who provide a listening ear and advice on living with myasthenia for our members as they navigate their diagnosis and live with the condition.

We are looking for someone with at least 2 years' recent experience of providing in-depth advice on welfare benefits, housing, employment law and other enquiry areas.  You must be genuinely motivated by our cause and keen to make a difference to those living with a chronic illness and their families and carers.  It is an exciting time to be part of the charity, with a new CEO and a new national growth strategy.

As Welfare Rights Adviser, you will support our Professional Services/Welfare Rights Manager in delivering advice to members of myaware via telephone, email, Teams and Zoom channels.  You will provide detailed benefit checks and advice and support with disability benefit applications, supersessions, reviews and mandatory reconsiderations/appeals.  You will also advise on employment law, including the Equality Act and right to reasonable adjustments at work, driving and transport, heath and social care, housing rights, grants and utility discounts.  You will provide initial advice and signposting for other areas.such as financial advice and immigration queries.

You will also be required to support Zoom sessions for members, create social media posts, write newsletter content and support our research and campaigning work.

We require someone with a background of welfare rights advice who is compassionate, non-judgmental and who can listen and communicate to a high standard. This role is for someone who is a team player, with a commitment to providing an excellent service to all members, no matter who they are and what their background. High Trees is seeking a Youth Employment Support Service Coordinator for our Build Your Future programme. Build Your Future is a targeted youth employment project supporting young people aged 16–24 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). The project provides holistic, person-centred support combining outreach and engagement, pastoral support, employability skills development and progression into education, training or work.

The project is primarily delivered in-house by High Trees, working in partnership with other local delivery partners. Build Your Future focuses on young people facing multiple barriers, including care-experienced young people, migrants and refugees, young people with SEND, and those experiencing social or economic exclusion.

The Build Your Future Project Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring the effective day-to-day delivery of the project. Working closely with High Trees delivery teams and partner organisations, the postholder will coordinate outreach and engagement activity, support the provision of high-quality pastoral support for young people, and ensure strong project coordination, monitoring and reporting.

This role will suit someone who is highly organised, collaborative and passionate about supporting young people facing multiple barriers into education, training and employment.

The role requires a balance of coordination, communication and relationship-building skills. You will work closely with colleagues across Employment & Careers and Children, Young People & Families teams, as well as with delivery partners, to ensure Build Your Future is delivered to a high standard.

The post holder will also play an important role in monitoring and evaluation, maintaining accurate records and supporting reporting requirements linked to external funding.

As Head of Cybersecurity, you'll be the guardian of Alzheimer's Society's technology ecosystem. In a role where trust is everything, you'll develop and lead our cybersecurity strategy, ensuring that the systems powering our support services, research programmes, and advocacy work remain secure, resilient, and compliant.

You'll be part of our Technology directorate, reporting to the Associate Director of IT and joining our Technology Leadership team. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you'll translate complex security challenges into clear strategies that enable colleagues to work safely and confidently, knowing that the systems and data they rely on are protected by best-in-class security practices.

This is also a leadership role where you'll build and develop a high-performing cybersecurity team, creating a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and shared accountability. Together, you'll role-model best practice, stay ahead of emerging threats, and embed security awareness throughout the Society.

About you:

You're an experienced cybersecurity leader who understands that excellent security combines technical rigour with strategic thinking and clear communication. You're comfortable working across organisational boundaries, translating technical complexity into business context, and building trust with stakeholders at every level.

You'll have:

• Significant experience in information security management, risk assessment, and incident response.
• Proven experience ensuring regulatory compliance, particularly with GDPR, NHS Toolkit, and PCI-DSS, as well as alignment with recognised cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and information security standards like ISO27001.
• Proven track record in cloud security, network security, and security architecture design.
• Knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and security technologies.
• Experience building and leading high-performing security teams, guiding them through change with compassion.
• Excellent communication abilities, translating technical detail into clear business insights for stakeholders at every level.

What you'll focus on:

• Developing and executing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with our mission and risk appetite, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership across the Society.
• Leading and developing a talented team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Conducting thorough risk assessments, implementing effective controls, and ensuring full compliance with GDPR, NHS requirements, and relevant security standards.
• Overseeing security technologies and collaborating with Technology teams to integrate security throughout our infrastructure, including regular security testing across all IT services.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive incident response and disaster recovery plans, monitoring systems for breaches and investigating suspicious activities.
• Building cybersecurity awareness programmes across the Society, fostering a security-conscious culture where everyone understands their role in protection.

This is an exciting opportunity to get experience with a large and growing charity with an engaged and fun team. You will be a key part of our mission to ​find a cure for all types of brain tumours.​

​Our Systems Manager is being seconded to an internal project for the next 6-9 months and so we are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team for an interim basis for six months with the possibility of a three month extension.​​​​

In this role you will you lead a team of three people in supporting our staff team of 70 by providing reliable, effective and efficient IT systems and equipment. This include ​the monitoring and maintenance of our IT software and, with external support, our IT hardware. ​​

You will line manage the Database Assistant ​and Data Processing Assistant.
