Glaucoma UK is the charity for people with glaucoma. Our vision is to end preventable glaucoma sight loss. We want everyone with glaucoma to be able to live well with the condition, and to make this a reality.
More than 10,000 people took part in our National Patient Voices Survey, creating the most powerful picture yet of what it is like to live with glaucoma and receive glaucoma care across the UK.
Working closely with our Head of Communications and a specialist public affairs agency, you will help bring those findings to life, secure media attention and make decision-makers listen. Central to this will be finding and sensitively supporting people who are willing to share their experiences, cultivating trusted relationships and helping them tell their stories confidently across print, digital and broadcast media.
Alongside this landmark work, you will create engaging content across our magazine, website, email and social media channels, identify opportunities for national coverage and help strengthen and protect Glaucoma UK’s voice and reputation. This is a varied and influential role for an excellent storyteller with strong media instincts who wants their work to make a genuine difference.

What you’ll be working on:
· Proactively creating and delivering high quality, inspiring multi-channel content (including, but not limited to, our quarterly members magazine, awareness campaigns, email marketing schedule, social media and website) to engage key stakeholders and attract new followers to our cause.
· Playing a key role in the production of our quarterly member’s magazine; actively contributing to editorial meetings, writing articles, conducting interviews, editing copy, and overseeing timelines through to print and despatch.

· Providing copywriting and editing support across all internal and external communications for all departments to maintain consistent tone, style and messaging across all outputs and act as a ‘brand guardian’ together with colleagues in the communications team.
· Leading on the delivery of an ongoing programme to recruit and develop relationships with patient case studies, celebrity supporters and influencers who can help raise our public profile through the media and other opportunities.

Working with farmers, landowners, local residents, businesses, volunteers, conservation partners and Freshwater Habitats Trust colleagues, you’ll build trusted relationships and lead engagement and citizen science across the River Irfon catchment. Your work will help local people take part in an ambitious, connected approach to freshwater biodiversity conservation.
You’ll help drive the scheme by:
· Building and maintaining constructive relationships with farmers, landowners, local residents and businesses
· Planning and running quarterly engagement activities for the farming and landowning community
· Coordinating citizen science projects, including water-quality, invasive non-native plant and endangered wetland plant surveys
· Recruiting, supporting and motivating volunteers to take part in freshwater and wetland conservation

We need someone who brings:

· Confidence communicating nature-conservation ideas to non-specialist audiences
· An interest in freshwater and wetland ecology, ideally with knowledge of freshwater habitat management
· Strong stakeholder, organisational and time-management skills
· A relevant degree or equivalent qualification, ideally at 2:1 level or above, confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel, and a full current driving licence
· A friendly, professional and flexible approach, with close attention to detail
· Knowledge of the Welsh language is desirable; experience of citizen science or GIS would also be an advantage

The role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead APF's communications, marketing and engagement function. You will turn organisational priorities into an integrated plan, set clear standards and measures, advise senior leaders and ensure that marketing, media, content, digital and internal communications work together.
You will lead three managers: the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, the Press, PR and Stories Manager, and the Communications Operations and Engagement Manager. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will report to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager. This structure gives you the scope to shape the whole function while delegating specialist delivery clearly.

We’re looking for a Head of Communications who will combine communications expertise and an innovative approach to storytelling to engage hundreds of thousands of Europeans in meaningful action. This role reports to the Campaigns Director and has line management responsibilities.
You’ll work closely with our campaigns team and a social media manager to adapt and enhance campaigns through media, partnerships and content. This role works across multiple channels. Global Head of Communications and Marketing
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on communications leader to shape the global profile of an international heritage charity and its commercial work.
Position: Global Head of Communications and Marketing
Location: Home-based in the UK, with frequent travel to London and international travel as required
Salary: £52,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role
This is an influential leadership role responsible for developing and delivering a global communications and marketing strategy across multiple countries, audiences and channels.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will help position the organisation as a leading heritage charity, a trusted partner for commercial collaborations and a powerful advocate for artisans and cultural heritage.
Combining strategic leadership with practical delivery, you will oversee brand, marketing, media relations, digital communications, thought leadership and internal communications. You will also lead a fully remote communications team and work closely with creative, commercial, fundraising and country teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering a multi-year global communications and marketing strategy
- Strengthening the organisation’s brand and reputation across commercial, philanthropic and public audiences
- Leading global media relations, public affairs and crisis communications
- Overseeing digital channels, content, newsletters and audience engagement
- Supporting the promotion of artisan collections, exhibitions and commercial partnerships
- Developing communications that support fundraising, philanthropy and donor engagement
- Creating consistent global messaging, brand standards and approval processes
- Supporting major events, launches and external speaking opportunities
- Leading, developing and setting clear expectations for the communications team
- Managing budgets, performance measures and communications reporting
About You
You will be a highly capable and collaborative communications leader who can combine strategic judgement with creativity, organisation and attention to detail.
You will bring:
- Significant senior-level communications, marketing or corporate affairs experience
- Experience developing organisation-wide communications strategies
- A strong background in brand, reputation and media relations
- Digital communications, content and audience engagement expertise
- Experience leading and developing communications teams
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills
- Confidence advising senior leaders and supporting high-profile stakeholders
- Experience working across multiple countries, regions or cultures

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, but would consider 30 hours per week

Main purpose of the role
The Trust Fundraiser will work closely with the Fundraising Manager and colleagues across L’Arche to develop cases for support, submit funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations, and monitor and report on progress.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Experience of researching, engaging and developing relationships with funders, including trusts and foundations, resulting in funding.
- Experience of writing persuasive funding applications, bids, proposals, or grant submissions.
- Experience of managing multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities effectively.
- Experience of maintaining accurate records, monitoring progress, and reporting against targets or project outcomes.
- Experience of building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
