About the role

2025 was a huge year for Scotland, Crisis’ campaign to introduce new laws to prevent homelessness was a success. Scotland now has one of the most progressive homelessness systems in the world. But rising living costs, shortages of affordable homes and a lack of support are pushing more people towards poverty and homelessness. It doesn’t have to be this way.

We are now looking for a Fundraising Manager to focus on building and shaping Crisis’s high value income in Scotland in both corporate partnerships and philanthropy. With a strategic focus, you will connect high value partners and supporters our mission in ways that are ethical, person-centred and rooted in dignity and respect for people experiencing homelessness.

You will be responsible for proactively identifying, cultivating and converting a pipeline of high value prospects across corporate and philanthropy, as well as managing a portfolio of high value individuals and providing a brilliant stewardship experience. We have ambitions to significantly increase the high value income we generate in Scotland and will lead on the development of a growth strategy to help us realise these ambitions.

Working collaboratively across Crisis, you’ll champion inclusive, values-led ways of working and use insight, influence and partnership to help drive lasting impact in our work to end homelessness.

About you

We are looking for:

• A highly motivated, proactive relationship builder with a strong track record of growing regional high-value income and spotting the most promising opportunities
• An ambitious, confident, values-led fundraiser has experience leading direct (high value) income generation within Scotland
• Strong experience in identifying, cultivating and winning regional and devolved nations corporate partnerships and delivering brilliant stewardship to a portfolio of philanthropists.
• Proven ability to develop compelling regional or devolved-nations cases for support and high-value propositions
• Strategic and outcome-focused, with the credibility and drive to demonstrate the income potential of high value income in Scotland and build a plan to realise it.

We’re looking for someone to fulfil a wide range of duties working alongside the other Administrative Assistant and volunteers in support of the Office Manager to provide coordinated administration across the Cathedral team. In addition, the post holder will support the Chief Operating Officer in tasks related to the management of the residential let properties located in Old Portsmouth. About The Role
Are you enthusiastic and positive and enjoy bringing a group of people together through activities and songs?
Do you have skill and experience with working with people affected by dementia to engage them in group situations? 
Join us as a Group Facilitator to provide a range of vibrant, supportive groups to our service users in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.  You will be an instrumental part of facilitating and coordinating our Memory Cafes, Activity Groups and Singing for the Brain and other ad-hoc events. We have several, well established groups, but also there would be a great opportunity for the successful individual to develop and promote the less established to reach a wider number of people.
The successful candidate will be joining a supportive and experienced team of Group Facilitators and dedicated volunteers. As a Group Facilitator you will be connected to the expert local teams of Dementia Advisers and Dementia Navigators. 
Interviews will be held on 25 February in person at the Bristol office.

About you

- Compassionate, supportive individual with a good understanding of dementia and how it impacts both the person with the diagnosis and the carer.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to engage people in group activities, ensuring the person with dementia can fully participate as well as the carer.
- Organised and proactive in your approach to be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and reaching out when required.
- Understands the importance of volunteers in group services is essential, plus the ability to role manage volunteers to support them in their role.
- ­­Good computer skills are required to facilitate virtual groups, and to complete accurate records on the computer system.

What you’ll need:

- Good organisational, facilitation, and timekeeping skills to deliver high quality, supportive groups for people affected by dementia
- Strong interpersonal and interpretation skills will allow you to have open jargon-free conversations.
- Experience of co-ordinating and role managing volunteers, working with them to deliver each group
- Good IT skills including MS Word, MS Outlook, Zoom and Teams
- Ability to update client or customer databases with detailed and accurate notes

Our successful candidate will need to be able to travel independently across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset to work in a variety of community venues.

About the Peer Support Services

Our Peer Support Service started 14 years ago, Since then, we have seen our service grow and we now offer Peer Support across the whole of Hertfordshire.

Working in co-production with clients, staff, volunteers and stakeholders, we were able to create our own Peer Support Charter Values (this can be found on our website).  These values form the ethos we work towards within our peer support team.  These values also complement HMN’s values of Hope, Courage, Togetherness and Responsive, which form the basis of all the work we do as an organisation.

About the Role

Working with the team to offer 1-1 peer support to anyone accessing HMN. The Peer Support service provide tailored support for individuals to support their needs. This includes using different tools and techniques to help an individual improve areas of their life they may be struggling with. Having a lived experience of mental health issues or supporting someone who has is a key element to what makes this service so unique.

The Peer Support approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity and compassion. Peer Support is based on the recognition that there is no better person to support the path towards recovery, than someone who has walked a similar path as that person.

To meet client needs, and work to this personalised approach, we do support people out in the community, within their home, as well as in one of our Wellbeing Centres.

The successful candidate will need a personal understanding of mental ill health, either from your own lived experience or by caring for someone with a mental health condition and have awareness of issues in mental health service provision.

Peer Support Workers will also provide support within our Peer Support Groups, Peer Support Learning Sets and Peer Support Academy when needed.

We offer:

• Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 28 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)
