The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.

We are now looking for a Filming and Events Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis working 36 hours per week.

The Role

As the Filming and Events Officer, you will support the Filming and Events Team to deliver the highest standard of service.

You will work with our parks, communications & engagement, events, IT and finance teams. You will support the development, streamlining and implementation of systems and processes for customer relationship management and financial management, building on and enhancing existing frameworks..

You will also assist in meetings and briefings with production teams and their colleagues and contractors.

Additionally, you will:

• Initiate meetings and briefing sessions with location managers and their colleagues and contractors as required.
• Developing relationships with key industry professionals.
• Staying in touch with developments in the filming industry, such as H&S legislation in relation to shoots and industry best practice. 

About You

To be considered as our Filming and Events Officer, you will need:

• Experience supporting and/or managing filming in historic and/or environmentally sensitive, heritage locations or parks.
• Strong communication skills
• A degree, equivalent qualification or experience in filming

Regulation and Accreditation Officer

We are seeking a Regulation and Accreditation Officer to support regulatory, quality assurance and accreditation activities within a respected professional body.

Position: Regulation and Accreditation Officer

About the role

This is a key role supporting regulatory, quality assurance and accreditation functions for both individual and organisational members. You will contribute to maintaining high professional standards and protecting the public.

Working closely with the Regulation and Quality Assurance Manager, you will help coordinate and deliver a range of regulatory and accreditation activities, with a particular focus on education and accreditation pathways.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting audits, quality reviews and accreditation processes

Role summary

As our new Operations and People Lead, you will help us continue to build and nurture a strong, can-do, and empowering operational culture that is rooted in collaboration, equity and care. Key Responsibilities

People strategy - (Approx 40%)

• Operations strategy and ways of working: Work with the CEO and SLT, co-design and implement a robust operations strategy and clear ways of working for effective allocation of team and resources to achieve the organisation's objectives, strengthening further our  principles of deep collaboration, equity and care.

• Equitable recruitment and retention strategy: Building on our existing progress in inclusive hiring, you will work closely with the CEO and SLT to evolve and champion our recruitment and retention strategy. You will continue to refine our processes, ensuring we remain at the forefront of removing access barriers and nurturing a diverse, flourishing, and long-term workforce. You will be responsible for timelining, creating Job Descriptions; advertising strategy and budget; liaise with hiring manager; referencing; offer letters & contracts.

• People development & care: Working closely with the CEO and SLT, contribute to the development and lead on the implementation of training, continuous professional development processes and policies that enable transparency, peer to peer feedback, psychological safety, professional development and empowerment.

• Delivery strategy: Working closely with the Head of Programmes, design and drive a capacity planning strategy for the team across 20+ projects to ensure impact delivery as well as balanced workloads. 

• Cross-cutting principles: Working closely with the CEO, leading internal policy work, you will steward and expand our internal policy framework, ensuring that our established principles of wellbeing, diversity, accessibility, and anti-racism continue to be deeply woven into the fabric of every new and existing policy.

Operational excellence (Approx 30%)

• Systems improvement: Enhance and adjust systems, processes, and best practices to ensure they are flexible enough to respond to the lived realities of a diverse team.

• Digital access: Lead the planning and implementation of IT and digital strategies that facilitate accessible and collaborative remote/hybrid working.

• Compliance and safety: Maintain and communicate health, safety, and security protocols through a lens of collective care and team protection.

• Process standardisation: Working with the CEO and Finance Manager, drive consistency across HR, admin, and finance to reduce cognitive load and administrative friction for the team.

HR & financial administration (Approx 20%)

• HR: 

  • HR Software & data ownership, maintenance and ensuring consistency in colleagues use of the software. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for HR enquiries, accessibility requests, and leave calculation.

  • Act on behalf of the CEO in handling confidential issues with care and restorative intent & liaising with external HR advisor.

• Financial support: In partnership with our Finance Manager, coordinate confidential finance administration, including payroll, pensions, and audit preparation, ensuring all team members are supported by stable financial operations.

• Resource management: Manage IT and Operations budgets.

• Contract management: Oversee the administration of employment contracts and agreements and NDAs for freelancers, as well as internship placements to ensure fair and clear working agreements.

Executive support & governance (Approx 10% of the time)

• Leadership partnership: Support the SLT in strategic direction, planning, and workforce development so they can focus on fundraising, advocacy and high-level impact work.

• Support the CEO on internal communications, business travel, scheduling, diary management, technical assistance.

• Board: Manage all JB Board administration, including arranging quarterly meetings, minutes, etc.

• Funding & tenders: Provide necessary operational and organisational information for funding applications and manage portal processes for payments and offers.

Person Specification

Essential

• HR Expertise: Six to eight years of demonstrable practical experience in designing and implementing People centred strategies with a focus on collaborative leadership rooted in inclusion, equity, diversity and care (six to eight years of experience). We’re particularly interested in someone experienced and/or genuinely interested in participatory design methods that incorporate the lived experiences of a diverse team.

• Operational excellence: Six to eight years of demonstrable practical experience of developing and implementing effective operations strategies and effective systems and processes that enable organisational excellence and staff wellbeing.

• A genuine, demonstrable commitment for the role of culture in addressing the climate, environment and justice crises, preferably with experience of working with values-led teams working on systemic issues especially working across climate, environmental and justice issues.

Role description:

parkrun is looking for a Data Protection Officer to ensure that parkrun processes personal data in a lawful, transparent and secure manner and maintains compliance with applicable data protection laws across the global parkrun movement.

Reporting to the Global Head of Legal and Governance, this role will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and maintaining effective and compliant data protection processes and promoting good practices across the parkrun global movement. The role will sit within a small Legal and Governance team and provide day-to-day assistance and practical, solution-focused advice across the organisation. 

The Data Protection Officer will act independently in carrying out their statutory responsibilities under applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR, and will play a key role in embedding a strong culture of data protection and responsible data use across parkrun’s global operations.

A key focus of the role will be working collaboratively with teams across the organisation to build understanding of data protection requirements, deliver effective training and guidance, and support colleagues to take a practical and pragmatic approach to managing data protection risks in their work.

This is an exciting role that would suit an experienced data protection professional with excellent communication skills who enjoys a varied portfolio of work and is passionate about working for a health and wellbeing charity that is making a meaningful impact in communities across the globe.

Main responsibilities:

The Data Protection Officer will support data protection and privacy compliance across the parkrun global movement, including responsibility for the following:

• Acting as parkrun’s Data Protection Officer under applicable data protection legislation, advising the organisation on its legal obligations and monitoring compliance with relevant data protection laws and principles

• Developing, reviewing and maintaining data protection policies, procedures and guidelines for the parkrun global movement

• Monitoring the organisation’s compliance with data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and providing quarterly reports to the Board Governance and Risk Sub-Committee

• Supporting teams in carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and embedding privacy into projects, partnerships and new initiatives

• Developing and maintaining key compliance documentation including a Record of Processing Activities (ROPA)

• Leading the Data Governance Group and developing/progressing the organisation’s Data Protection Action Plan

• Advising on international data transfers and cross-border data protection considerations across the parkrun global movement

• Supporting the organisation’s data incident and personal data breach response processes, including assessing notification requirements where relevant 

• Acting as a key contact point for supervisory authorities, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Officer (ICO), and supporting responses to regulatory enquiries where required

• Developing and delivering data protection training and guidance to teams across the global organisation

• Supporting the Global Head of Legal and Governance in driving the development and continuous improvement of the Legal and Governance function at parkrun

Essential experience requirements:

• Significant professional experience in data protection, privacy compliance or information governance roles (typically at least 5 years’ experience)

• Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and core data protection principles

• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining practical data protection policies, procedures and governance frameworks

• Experience working collaboratively with teams across an organisation to embed good data protection practices and support compliant decision-making

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data protection principles clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences, including senior stakeholders and non-specialists

• Experience designing and delivering data protection training and guidance, and supporting teams to understand and apply data protection requirements in their day-to-day work

• Experience advising on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), data incidents and privacy risk management

• Experience maintaining key compliance documentation such as Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and supporting organisational data protection compliance

Role Summary 

The Programme Officer UK will be instrumental in providing administrative support for the successful delivery of our three programme strands across the UK. Reporting to the Joint Head of Programmes (Nations Lead), this role ensures the smooth and efficient running of projects by managing key organisational tasks, providing high quality customer service and supporting specific activities including data driven targeted work. Working closely with Programme Leads, Programme Coordinators and the wider team, the Programme Officer UK will play a vital role in maintaining seamless administration activities, contributing to the successful delivery and impact of our programmes.   

Main Responsibilities: 

• Provide administrative support for the delivery of cross-programme activity in all four nations, including training for teachers and careers professionals, workshops, conferences and events.
• Meet regularly with each of the nations’ teams to ensure a joined-up approach and understanding of the place-based programme activity and requirements in each area.
• Oversee and support the management and maintenance of the CRM database of nations’ place-based activity across the UK, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
• Assist with data collection and evaluation for reporting to funders by ensuring accurate data input and collection from relevant stakeholders including liaison with the Research and Data Coordinator. 
• Collaborate with the Marcomms team to assist in promoting the programme across all communication channels, including signups to our training programme for educators, entries to our filmmaking competitions, the Into Film Awards, and bookings for the Into Film Festival, Spring Screenings and other events for our Screen Careers programme. 
• Work with Marcomms and Programme Coordinators to run targeted marketing campaigns to increase and drive engagement in our place-based targeted areas across the UK.
• Assist in desk-based research to identify partners and organisations (including schools) to engage underserved and underrepresented young people in our programmes, sourcing relevant external information from across the education, youth and film industry sectors. 
• Working with Programme Leads to support the development and delivery of our Youth Advisory Council and Education Ambassador initiatives.
• Undertake additional general administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the team including but not limited to customer support cases, equipment and materials inventory and orders, booking travel, processing invoices and regional social media channels, 
• Represent Into Film at conferences and events as required.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by Into Film.

General Responsibilities: 

• Commitment to quality internally and in all dealings with Into Film’s stakeholders including teachers, children and young people, industry partners, funders, supporters, parents and carers, and members of the public.

Person Specification:
