Main purposes of the post
To support the delivery of the community-led violence reduction programme in Salford, working with young people, communities and VCSE partners in Little Hulton.
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit worked with 10GM, other VCSE providers and local communities to co-design our approach to a community-led violence reduction programme. The programme is one of the Violence Reduction Unit’s flagship projects across Greater Manchester and is in line with the ambitions of the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Strategy and Public Service Reform programme to involve communities to identify priorities, problem solve and direct investment and interventions accordingly. In Salford, the programme will be delivered within Little Hulton.
Hours: Part-time, 18.75 hours per week.
Days: To be confirmed (core hours are worked between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday).
Contract: 1-year fixed-term contract, subject to the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role will be responsible for developing and reviewing organisational standards of support in line with contractual and regulatory standards, leading on quality assurance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement as well as supporting compliance and regulatory requirements.
To lead on the development of new models of support practice which are person centred and trauma informed, working closely with operational managers, frontline teams, and the Head of Compliance, the post-holder will ensure that services delivered to vulnerable adults are safe, effective, person-centred, compliant, and consistently achieving positive outcomes.
The role will provide strategic oversight of quality and performance data, lead on the interpretation and analysis of operational and compliance information, identify emerging risks and trends, and support leaders to implement improvements. The post-holder will also drive organisational learning, promote consistency in practice across services, and lead the development of a robust framework to capture and embed the resident voice in service delivery and improvement. Enabling residents to have a significant contribution in shaping services and contributing to an inclusive and safe community. Quality Assurance and Performance Oversight
Lead the quality assurance function across support services
Review and analyse and interpret quarterly performance, identifying risks, trends, gaps, and areas of concern, as well as providing solutions

In addition to the around 40 young people we see every day out our centre, New Horizon provides the only youth-specific street outreach service to young people facing homelessness in London. Main tasks and responsibilities
Young people services
Providing comprehensive support through 1-1 and small group work with young people sleeping rough. This will include:
Working within the Rough Sleeping team to ensure young people receive a high-quality service from the point of registration to move-on.
Carrying out at least two street-based outreach shifts each week (early morning and late evening required).
Carrying out housing assessments with young people and referring them into appropriate accommodation.
Managing a transitional case load of young people and helping them move forward and access appropriate services.
Working in partnership with the Outreach Team and other external teams, such as commissioned street outreach services, mental health, and substance misuse services.
Providing expert coaching and guidance to young people and monitoring and evaluating their progress.
Continued use of feedback and showing a commitment to a service that is sensitive and responsive to young people’s needs, including:
· Completing registrations, outcomes assessments, risk assessments and action plans with young people.
· Ensuring that all relevant work is recorded on the New Horizon database system and Chain database.
