Development Manager

We are looking for a Development Manager to join our fundraising team to support our ambitious, global mission to democratise computing and AI education for all young people. . You’ll build and manage a global portfolio of strategic, high-value funding partners that share and advance our mission. Through effective relationship building and account management, you’ll engage donors with the aim of growing their long-term support for our work.

The ideal candidate will have experience of successful corporate/institutional partnership development and/or stewardship at a national or international scale. You may also have experience working with trusts and foundations or securing sponsorship for events.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop a pipeline of funding opportunities, establishing relationships that will lead to new partnerships or donations
• Manage a portfolio of existing partners, developing and implementing engagement strategies to strengthen these relationships
• Match funders’ objectives with the Foundation's programmes and goals
• Prepare funding applications, proposals, presentations, and pitches, working collaboratively across the Foundation to support the development of these documents
• Evaluate and report on partner activities to ensure goals are achieved and the impact of their support is shared
• Develop and implement engaging and bespoke stewardship plans
• Accurately capture information using our CRM (Salesforce) pipeline process
• Support colleagues as they develop new donor relationships to secure grants and donations
• Develop and maintain updated knowledge of the Foundation’s programmes and associated funding opportunities

Experience and personal attributes

You should have:

• Experience in securing and developing long-term corporate partnerships and/or high value income (£50K+)
• Competence in using a CRM or equivalent system

• Evidence of highly adaptable interactions with a wide range of people, with experience in advocacy, networking, and negotiation
• Practical knowledge of preparing and presenting a compelling case for support in various forms, including in person and through written communication

Ideally, you’ll also have:

About The Role
Every story matters here. Some are quiet, some joyful, some hard to tell. As a Video Production Executive at Alzheimer’s Society, you will help bring these stories to life with care, honesty and craft.
You will join a creative team that believes in storytelling as a force for understanding, challenge and change. Working with the Video Production Manager, you will help produce content across social clips, interviews and longer form films.
People come to this role from many paths, whether film or media training, freelance work, community storytelling or self-taught practice. What matters is your ability to tell stories with care, curiosity and skill, and your commitment to inclusive, respectful storytelling.
What you’ll do
You will work across the full production process, from early ideas through to final delivery, supporting both fast turnaround content and longer, story led pieces.
Much of your time will be spent working on location and handling post-production tasks. You will film interviews and documentary style shoots, set up lighting and sound, and help create a calm, respectful space where people feel able to share their stories.
In post production, you will use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to shape engaging, accessible content. You will add subtitles and apply accessibility best practice so our work can reach as many people as possible.
You will also support planning and logistics, including call sheets, scheduling and risk assessments, and contribute ideas that help shape how stories are told and delivered.
Collaboration is central. You will work closely with colleagues across teams, support sensitive interviews with care, and help share finished content across platforms such as YouTube and internal channels.
In this role, you will:

- Film high quality interviews and documentary style content in varied settings
- Record sound and set up lighting to capture professional footage
- Edit video using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Add subtitles and support accessible content delivery

About you

Role Summary

As a Senior Partnerships Manager at upReach, you will play a strategic leadership role in shaping the growth, quality, and impact of our partnerships at upReach.

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships within the Income Generation and External Engagement team, you will take strategic ownership of a portfolio of high-value partnerships (5, 6, and 7-figure) within the Tech and STEM sectors, alongside building crucial new partnerships in the sector. Moreover, you will have responsibility for delegated projects that strengthen our partnership strategy and visibility, you will line-manage members of the partnerships team, providing coaching, direction, and support to ensure the team consistently delivers high standards of stewardship, innovation, and income generation.

You’ll act as a senior representative of upReach, cultivating relationships with high-level external stakeholders, championing collaboration across internal teams and identifying new opportunities to raise the visibility and influence of upReach to help drive our mission.

Core Responsibilities

You will play a critical leadership role in advancing upReach’s mission by shaping and scaling high-impact, income-generating partnerships with top employers committed to social mobility. You will lead on delegated strategy projects, mentor and manage members of the partnerships team, and play a key role in upReach’s organisational growth and influence.

Your work will directly support the charity’s strategic partnership priorities: driving sustainable income growth, enhancing partnership impact, and increasing our brand visibility. This role offers scope to lead complex partnerships, influence internal strategy, and champion innovation in partnership delivery. While not exhaustive, your key areas of responsibility include:

Leadership of Employer Partnerships

• Lead the strategic management and growth of a portfolio of high-value, multi-year partnerships in Tech and STEM, ensuring strong alignment with upReach’s mission and priorities.

• Oversee the quality and consistency of partnership engagement across the team, including partnership health reviews, ensuring best-in-class stewardship and measurable partner outcomes aligned with the Partnerships team's OKRs.

• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships, co-create new initiatives, and embed partners in long-term collaboration with upReach.

• Working closely with upReach’s Programme teams to ensure partnerships and programmes are delivered to a high standard.

Develop and Secure New Partnerships

• Proactively identify, cultivate, and convert a pipeline of four-seven figure prospective partnerships aligned with upReach’s mission and strategic goals.

• Lead high-quality prospecting and relationship-building activity, targeting income-generating partnerships that also deliver high-impact opportunities for Associates.

• Build strong relationships with key contacts at potential partners, including senior stakeholders within your sectors, through regular in-person and virtual meetings.

• Deliver compelling, insight-driven proposals and presentations tailored to organisational priorities and demonstrating mutual value.

Strategic Development

• Support the Head of Partnerships in setting partnership strategy and income targets, and contribute to organisational planning and forecasting.

• Analyse market trends to identify emerging opportunities and inform the evolution of upReach’s partnership offer.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of new strategic initiatives that enhance income diversification and partnership sustainability.

• Work cross-functionally to ensure partnership activity is evidence-led, data-informed, and aligned to organisational objectives.

Management within the Partnerships Team

• Line manage a Junior Partnerships Manager, supporting their professional development and building team capabilities.

• Provide leadership and guidance in managing complex partnerships, offer escalation support, and ensure strategic consistency.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture that values innovation, accountability, and shared success.

• Champion continuous improvement across the team, ensuring processes, tools, and resources support efficiency and growth.

Stakeholder Representation and Engagement

• Deputise, where required, for the Head of Partnerships as a senior representative of upReach at external meetings, conferences, and industry events, building influence and credibility across the social mobility landscape.

• Develop relationships with senior external stakeholders, including executive sponsors, industry leaders, and cross-sector collaborators.

• Serve as an ambassador for upReach’s mission, promoting our partnership approach and outcomes to new and existing audiences.

• Use insight from partner feedback to inform organisational strategy and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Innovation

• Collaborate with Programme, Finance, Marketing, and Impact teams to ensure partnership activities are well-integrated, efficient, and mission-aligned.

• Support the continuous improvement of internal systems (CRM, contracting, invoicing, and reporting) to enable effective delivery and forecasting.

• Partner with Marketing & Communications to design and deliver strategic campaigns, thought leadership, and storytelling that elevate upReach’s employer partnerships nationally.

• Lead or contribute to cross-organisational projects that enhance income generation, innovation, or partnership experience.

• Uphold upReach’s legal, ethical, and data protection responsibilities in all partnership activity.

Our Events & Communications Senior Coordinator role sits across all three of our garden sites, supporting our income generating private venue hire as well as our community facing workshops and event programme. Working closely with all parts of the organisation, this person helps to tell the story of the charity through our social media, website, newsletter and other channels.

Job Purpose: To promote the New Story Garden, Floating Garden and Paper Garden in King’s Cross and Canada Water as event spaces for private and commercial use. To be responsible for delivering the annual events plan and associated budget in order to generate a profit to be reinvested into our community and youth programmes and build of community gardens. To organise and run events in the spaces and manage a team of people where needed depending on the size of the events. To produce communications and marketing materials for the organisation according to agreed style guides and templates.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The role has 2 main strands:

1. VENUE HIRE & EVENTS Communicating venue hire and supporting partnerships with corporates and individuals to aid fundraising, and leading on the facilitation of those events
2. COMMUNICATIONS AND CREATIVE CAMPAIGNS Supporting the wider work of the team by communicating our objectives and achievements, maintaining an engaging and imaginative stream of content that allows GG's work to reach new audiences

Development and strategic

• Work with the Global Generation team to deliver communication strategy highlighting the achievements and objectives of the organisation and building our brand
• Contribute to existing vision, business plan and implementation for venue hire and events at Global Generation
• Jointly responsible for ensuring that venue hire and the events programme makes a profit, working towards an agreed target

Events Planning & Delivery

• Develop, promote and deliver a programme of events in our garden sites, emphasising the uniqueness of each site, as well as assist with larger fundraising events
• Customer relations: First point of contact for new bookings and enquiries via phone and email ; Conduct site visits for potential clients
• Financial & event administration: Draw up quotes for hire costs, process and approve invoices & payments, manage events budgets, track spending and income, manage contracting, scheduling, menus, brochures and terms and conditions (parts to be carried out by Office Assistant)

Partnerships and relationships

• Actively maintain relationships and networks with individuals, organisations and developers
• Understand, value and work together with the GG team to ensure that there is a good balance between commercial priorities and community priorities, to avoid clashing with or limiting the use of spaces for educational and community events. Where possible add value by merging commercial and community.

Communications and Creative Campaigns

• Support delivery of existing communications strategy across the organisation, including monthly newsletter, regular social media schedule, practical copyediting, typesetting and design support for annual outputs.
• Create and deliver creative communication materials and publications for use in the media and online that help bring Global Generation’s work to life
• Utilise existing branding guidelines and templates to create consistent social graphics, newsletter headers and venue hire documents

Role Summary

The Exclusive Opportunities Senior Officer will be responsible for ensuring that upReach’s Exclusive Opportunities (internships and short-term work experience) programmes operate smoothly and effectively, and will report to the Exclusive Opportunities Manager. You will work alongside Programme Coordinators, Partnership Managers and Programme Managers to ensure the successful implementation of exclusive work experience and internship opportunities, which provide upReach Associates with the experiences, networks, commercial awareness and skills needed to secure top roles upon graduating.

The Core responsibilities include:

SUPPORTING THE SMOOTH RUNNING OF EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAMMES:

• Lead the logistical and operational planning and delivery of Exclusive Opportunities, ensuring successful implementation and high-quality support for programme participants and partners.

• Develop engaging promotion of new opportunities to Associates to increase the number and diversity of applicants.

• Manage the application and allocation processes for programmes, working with members of the Programmes Team and partner contacts to ensure smooth processes are in place throughout.

• Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the programmes, and identify/make improvements based on this.

• Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day partnership requests, and students accessing Exclusive Opportunities, and take action to respond to any issues raised.

SUPPORTING PARTNERSHIPS AND PROGRAMMES TEAMS:

• Ensure the wider Programmes Team is kept informed of the internship and work experience programme content and timelines, and enabled to best support Associates taking part.

• Collaborate with the Sector Programme Managers to design application assessment materials (where required) and applicant support resources for Programme Coordinators, and run their own Exclusive Opportunities.

• Work with the Programmes team to encourage Associates to apply for and participate in the Exclusive Opportunities programmes.

EXCLUSIVES OPPORTUNITIES PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT:

• Take ownership of a small portfolio of upReach's existing exclusive opportunities partnerships, managing day-to-day relationships with support and guidance from the Exclusives Programmes and Partnerships Manager.

• Support the Exclusives PM in managing their broader portfolio, including relationship stewardship, partner communications, and coordination of activity.

• Collaborate with Partnerships Managers to review and renew employer partners collaborating with upReach on work experience and internship programmes.

• Assist the Exclusives Programmes and Partnerships Manager in high-quality prospecting and relationship-building activity, contributing to income-generating partnerships that also deliver high-impact opportunities for Associates.

• Collaborate closely with the Exclusives Programmes and Partnerships Manager and the Marketing & Communications team to co-create high-quality content and campaigns that showcase our partnerships - including case studies and social media promotion.

• Contribute to impact reporting for the partnership portfolio by gathering data and stories that demonstrate partnership outcomes and drive continued engagement.

About this key role
Holding a caseload of up to 12 clients at any one time, our successful candidate will provide a client-led holistic support service that responds to individual’s needs, including supporting with housing, finances, benefits work and debt advice, parenting, health, ETE and criminal justice, and appearing in court.

We will rely on you to complete initial needs assessments with clients and to support them to develop individual support and risk management plans and regularly review them to assess progress.  You will be expected to promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and to develop and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies, while ensuring you close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for young people that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support is also a key aspect of the role.

Hours of Work

17.5 hours per week. Term time only.

Hybrid working - one day a week in hospital and home based.

Annual leave entitlement:

 Main Duties

1. To work with families with disabled children using Great Northern Children’s Hospital, providing in-person information, advice and support around issues faced by families with children with disabilities.

2. To support parents to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make decisions which are right for their families.

3. To build strong relationships with hospital partners, funders, Contact volunteers and voluntary sector partners.

4. Focus on developing and enhancing our work with hospitals, aiming to reach more families early in their journey with their child’s disability.

3. The service is in-person, with additional online support.
4. Ensure the provision of good quality information and support to parents and professionals working with families.

6. Work in collaboration with hospital and hospices staff, and colleagues in other By Your Side services (e.g., Midlands, London and Scotland) to continuously promote and improve the By Your Side service for families, developing and growing a network of partners

The role

We’re seeking a Senior Digital Manager to join our fantastic award winning Engagement, Marketing and Communications team.  We are at an exciting period of growth at Pancreatic Cancer UK with some exciting projects planned. 

We need someone to:

• Provide strategic digital leadership and implement our digital roadmap and report on digital developments across the organisation.
• Take overall responsibility for the effective running of the charity’s digital function, including the maintenance, development and growth of our digital channels and platforms to meet our audience’s needs and department goals and KPIs.
• Lead digital transformation within the organisation by proactively identifying and responding to emerging trends and technologies (with a particular focus on AI), horizon scanning and future-proofing our digital channels to ensure we are in the strongest possible position to respond to future changes.

About You 

• Experience of overseeing the smooth-running of the digital function within an organisation and providing ongoing digital support to internal teams.
• Experience of leading, developing and line-managing a small team
• Experience of developing and implementing digital strategies across all channels: SEO/GEO, SEM, content marketing, owned social, paid social, PPC, email marketing.
• Experience of analysing performance data and optimising activity.
• Experience of managing suppliers e.g. website agency, designers, paid advertising agency.

Hybrid-working: 

Our London office is a place to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. We are currently working hybrid with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office. This is an office-based role where you may be required to be in the office more frequently to attend activities and meetings depending on the needs of the role.
