About GMWSA

Greater Manchester Women’s Support Alliance brings together nine Member and Associate women’s centres serving all ten Greater Manchester boroughs. Together, the Alliance helps women involved in the criminal justice system, at risk of offending or experiencing multiple disadvantage to access coordinated, trauma-responsive support in their communities.

GMWSA is both a strategic alliance and a contract-holding organisation. It coordinates major commissioned work across Greater Manchester, supports delivery through local women’s centres and represents a pan-Greater Manchester view in partnerships concerned with women, justice, health and gender-based violence. Its work includes community-based probation services, support at HMP Styal and health-focused initiatives delivered with NHS and voluntary-sector partners.

About the role

This maternity-cover appointment comes at an important point in GMWSA’s development. The substantive Chief Executive has built strong relationships and a significant portfolio of work. During her absence, the Alliance needs a confident interim leader who can maintain momentum, give staff and partners clarity, and ensure that major commitments continue to be delivered well.

Alongside business continuity, there is meaningful development work to lead. GMWSA is resetting its strategic purpose, strengthening the way its Board and membership work together, and preparing for the possible retender of service contracts.

The successful candidate will keep delivery on track while helping the Board and members make practical progress on these priorities.

You will lead a small core team and work across a wider network of project staff, secondees, women’s centres, commissioners and strategic partners. This is a hands-on role requiring sound judgement, strong relationships and the confidence to move between operational detail and system-level influence.

Key responsibilities

·  Provide visible, values-led executive leadership throughout the maternity-cover period.

·  Maintain oversight of contracts, services, safeguarding, performance, finance and organisational risk.

·  Lead readiness for a potential contract retender, coordinating members, evidence, relationships and bid planning.

·  Work with trustees to strengthen governance, clarify accountability and support Chair and Treasurer recruitment and induction.

·  Bring members together around a clearer strategic purpose and a sustainable future for the Alliance.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Chief Executive, Interim Chief Executive or senior leader who can establish credibility quickly and combine calm stewardship with constructive change.

You will be comfortable leading a small organisation that operates through partnerships, commissioned services and influence rather than a large directly delivered service base.

The successful candidate will bring:

·  Senior leadership experience in a charity, public-service or other mission-led setting.

·  A strong understanding of commissioned services, contract performance and the disciplines required of a prime provider or accountable body.

·  Strong external relationship and influencing skills, including the ability to hold constructive boundaries with commissioners.

About the Role

The London Library is an independently funded membership organisation. It has successfully achieved its goals to eliminate an operating deficit in recent years, which has included developing and growing its membership, the outreach and access programmes and the care of its collections and archive.

Under an ambitious Executive Team and a strong board of Trustees, led by Chair Simon Godwin, the Library is in the middle of a £7 million capital campaign to transform some of its spaces and allow for a growth in membership and partnerships, underpinning its charitable purpose.

Revenue fundraising is essential, and the team raises income through a patrons programme, grants from trusts and foundations, philanthropic gifts, legacies and a biannual appeal to members.

The Library has developed a major giving strategy, which is attracting regular philanthropic gifts towards programming, collection projects, other revenue costs and the capital campaign.

You will be supported by an active and supportive team and work alongside the Director of Development. A new CRM system, adopted in early 2024, enables enhanced prospect and donation management.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage two important strands of the Library’s Development operation: Trusts and Foundations, and Legacies

· Oversee the Trusts and Foundations strategy and solicitation to maximise grants and income from grant giving bodies, including statutory funders

· With the support of a Senior Development Officer, manage the Library’s Legacy programme, develop and implement strategies to promote legacy giving, steward legacy pledgers and grow the number of legacy pledgers

About You

· Previous trust fundraising experience or transferrable strong persuasive writing skills

· Track record in relationship building externally (clients/donors) and internally (programme delivery staff) including customer or donor care experience

· Track record in meeting income targets in a fundraising setting, or other transferrable setting

· Experience of CRM systems

· Ability to plan, prioritise and carry out work effectively to meet deadlines

· Motivated, collaborative and able to work independently in a part-time role

About Action on Disability

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs). Guided by the Social Model of Disability, we work to remove barriers and promote equality, inclusion and choice for all Disabled people.

AoD is a medium-sized charity with a Board of Trustees, 27 staff, and a strong pool of casual staff and volunteers. Many of whom have lived experience of disability. We are proud that 100% of our Board and 54% of our staff identify as Disabled.

Purpose of the Role

The Manager for Our Place and Our Voice leads AoD’s work on co-production, peer support, campaigning and community engagement. The postholder ensures Disabled people are actively involved in shaping services, influencing policy and strengthening their voice within the local community and beyond.

The role coordinates peer-led programmes, develops accessible training and events, and builds partnerships that promote inclusion and representation. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, the postholder ensures that AoD’s values of co-production and Disabled leadership are embedded throughout the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

1. Lead, plan and coordinate AoD’s Our Place and Our Voice programmes, including co-production, peer support and community engagement initiatives.

2. Develop and deliver accessible training, workshops and events that build confidence, skills and leadership among Disabled people.

3. Recruit, supervise and support volunteers, peer facilitators and freelancers to deliver activities safely and effectively.

4. Build and maintain positive partnerships with local authorities, VCSE organisations, health services and community networks to promote the voice of Disabled people.

5. Promote co-production practice across AoD’s services, working with other managers to embed user involvement in service design and review.

6. Ensure all activities are inclusive, accessible and aligned with the Social Model of Disability.

7. Monitor and evaluate project performance, including collecting data, feedback and case studies to evidence impact.

8. Manage budgets within agreed limits and support financial planning and reporting to the CEO.

9. Prepare and submit funding applications and tender bids (in conjunction with the CEO) to support programme sustainability and growth.

10.  Ensure compliance with AoD policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health & safety and data protection.

11.  Represent AoD positively at external meetings, forums and events, promoting our work and values.

12.  Work collaboratively with other AoD departments to promote shared learning and inclusive practice.

About You

As Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the work of The Wildlife Trusts by maintaining and enhancing our data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of the federation wide data service system, a data lakehouse, providing key insights and solutions to support decision-making across the organisation and federation, responding to the needs of Wildlife Trusts and the delivery of our 2030 Strategy.

To excel in this role, you should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about people focused data engineering and analysis. You will have experience in a data engineering role, ideally with practical experience or the ability to upskill in cloud services like Azure, Databricks and ESRI, as well as excellent proven proficiency, SQL and Python. About the team

WaterAid international is a separate legal entity within the WaterAid federation which has oversight of the global organisation. It comprises the Board of Trustees and a small secretariat, based in London and led by the Global Director. About the role

The Global Head of Assurance is a WaterAid Ready Leader who plays a critical role in strengthening confidence in WaterAid's governance, risk management and control environment. Responsible for developing and coordinating the global assurance framework, the role provides independent assurance to management and the WaterAid International Board on the adequacy and effectiveness of key organisational systems and controls.

Working across a complex international organisation, the postholder will bring objective insight and constructive challenge, helping to identify risks, improve processes and support effective decision-making. Through collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders across the federation, they will help ensure WaterAid delivers its mission with integrity, accountability and impact.

In this role, you will;

Assurance

• Work with each Member Country and the WAi Secretariat to support the development of appropriate and proportionate assurance frameworks.
• Provide periodic updates and an annual opinion to the WAi Global Director and WAi Board on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance and risk management across the federation.

Audit

• Assess and support member countries in developing and strengthening the adequacy and effectiveness of audit and assurance mechanisms across the federation.
• Develop a WAi Audit Plan, informed by global risks, a global assurance framework and input from the Global Executive, for approval by the WAi Global Director and the WAi Board.

Accreditation

• Work with colleagues to deliver a rigorous and effective accreditation process, and conduct regular and ad-hoc accreditation reviews of federation Member Countries. 

Risk management

• Support the further development and embedding of the WAi risk management process.
• Promote and support best practise in risk management across the federation.

Fraud and financial crime (excluding WaterAid UK)

• Assist Member Countries with the management of cases of fraud, bribery and other financial irregularities and crimes.
• Support Member Countries in developing fraud risk assessments, advising on preventive and detective measures, and conducting fraud awareness activities.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Qualified member of a major accounting body (ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) or an Internal Auditor qualification
• Comprehensive understanding of the Global Internal Audit Standards and leading internal audit practices
• Experienced in managing and developing audit and assurance functions
• Experienced in working across cultures
• Practical experience of fraud investigations
• Experienced working with Microsoft applications

Active Essex Foundation is a successful and growing charity dedicated to creating the conditions for young people and communities across Essex to thrive. Our work focuses on three core areas: improving young people’s mental health, reducing vulnerabilities to youth crime and exploitation, and strengthening communities through trusted relationships and positive engagement.

The Sport for Development Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery and growth of these programmes. About MOVE Against Cancer

At MOVE Against Cancer our mission is to support and empower everyone impacted by cancer to be more active because movement matters. Exercise - in fact, all movement - is one of the most important things anyone diagnosed with cancer can do to enhance wellbeing and improve health outcomes both during and after treatment. We support people to get moving in a way that is right for them through our 5k Your Way support groups, the Movement Hub, Community Engagement projects and the MOVE programme.

MOVE Against Cancer is seeking a Digital and Resources Lead to develop and manage the organisation's digital presence, including our website, social media channels and online resources, such as our Movement Hub, to support people affected by cancer to move more. The postholder will lead the creation and sharing of engaging, accessible digital content, including articles, guides, videos, social media content and practical resources. They will ensure our website and digital platforms provide meaningful support for beneficiaries, while expanding the reach and impact of MOVE Against Cancer's work. The role will also lead the development of new resources and digital projects that encourage and enable more people affected by cancer to become and stay active.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Engagement

Lead the development and day-to-day management of MOVE Against Cancer’s social media channels. Create engaging content that encourages and supports people affected by cancer to move more and stay active. Develop and share regular content to show what MOVE are working on including: movement tips educational content participant stories programme highlights expert insights Build and nurture an online community around movement and cancer. Increasing our engagement. Monitor engagement and use insights to improve reach and impact.

Digital Resources and Educational Content

Lead our resource advisory group and resource development projects. Develop, share and maintain online resources that support people living with and beyond cancer. Produce accessible digital content such as: articles Guides toolkits FAQs movement advice pages newsletters programme information Ensure resources are clear, supportive and evidence informed. Work with clinicians, partners and beneficiaries to develop relevant guidance.

Website Development

Working in partnership with our digital agency, lead the development, testing and improvement of website content. Ensure resources are easy to find, well organised and regularly updated. Create new pages and digital content that support both beneficiaries and partners.

Multimedia Content Creation and Sharing

Produce and manage multimedia digital content, including: short videos photography participant interviews educational content Capture stories that highlight the benefits of movement during and after cancer treatment.

Content Planning and Coordination

Manage a digital content calendar across social media and the website. Coordinate contributions from staff, partners and participants. Ensure consistency in tone, accessibility and messaging.

Data, Learning and Impact

Help us gather data and understand data. Use analytics to understand how people engage with digital content. Support the development of feedback and impact surveys for beneficiaries. Contribute to improvements in digital systems or databases where relevant. Lead the adoption of AI‑driven tools, ensuring our team, Trustees and volunteers understand how to use emerging technologies responsibly and effectively. Use data for planning purposes, to extend our reach to more people impacted by cancer.

Person Specification

Essential skills and experience

Experience creating and managing digital content across platforms, particularly social media and websites. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging and accessible content such as articles, guides, and online resources. Experience planning and delivering social media content and engagement. Experience managing or updating website content (e.g. CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar). Experience producing video or multimedia content (videography, photography, editing). Ability to translate complex or specialist information into clear, supportive content for different audiences. Strong organisational skills and ability to plan and manage a digital content calendar. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and beneficiaries to gather stories and develop content.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience creating educational or health-related content. Understanding of digital accessibility and inclusive communication, and knowledge of mailchimp.
