Job Description

As Administration and Compliance Manager, you will oversee the administrative systems that underpin our service delivery in Bournemouth. You will manage an administrative team, ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements, whilst driving a culture of strong performance and continuous improvement.

You will support the Head of Service Delivery with budgeting and reporting. Working closely with operational colleagues, you will ensure administrative processes are efficient, reliable, and centred around the needs of the people who use our services.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced fundraiser who enjoys translating complex work into compelling funding propositions and building strong relationships with supporters. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will lead on our trusts and foundations pipeline, manage key corporate partners, write high-quality funding applications and support the development of our stewardship and wider fundraising strategies.

This is initially a 6 month contract, with the aim of becoming permanent subject to funding. As Jangala is a growing organisation, you will also help shape fundraising tools/processes and there is potential for this role to evolve according to your skills, interests and development goals over time.

Details of the role

Key responsibilities will include:

Trusts & Foundations

• Leading a pipeline of UK and global trusts and foundations and other grantmakers, including researching and cultivating new opportunities, developing proposals, coordinating internal inputs and submitting high-quality bids

• Managing relationships with our current funders, with a focus on stewardship, reporting and renewals, ensuring accurate, timely and engaging updates on progress and impact

• Working with Head of Fundraising to review our current pipeline, refine our trusts and foundations strategy and identify our approach for priority opportunities, including National Lottery

• Developing and implementing a clear stewardship strategy for trusts and foundation funders

Corporate Partnerships

• Account managing key corporate partners to maintain strong relationships and identify opportunities to deepen engagement over time

• Leading on partnership planning, relationship management, partnership storytelling, impact reporting and, where relevant, corporate volunteering activities

Fundraising Strategy & Support

• Working with programme and technology teams to develop a strong understanding of Jangala’s work and translate this into compelling fundraising narratives

• Supporting the Head of Fundraising with pipeline management, forecasting and fundraising planning

• Maintaining accurate records in Jangala’s CRM and funder tracking systems

• Contributing to the development of fundraising materials, case studies and impact content

• Representing Jangala at external meetings or events to raise our profile and expand our network

• Inputting into Jangala’s evolving fundraising strategy and income diversification

• Keeping aware of trends and innovations in the wider fundraising sector, identifying new opportunities and approaches for us to explore

• As our fundraising portfolio evolves, potential to  take on more varied responsibilities, such as gaming fundraising or corporate new business, or lead a single income stream

The person we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser who is confident writing funding applications and managing relationships, and who is motivated by Jangala’s mission and values. Core Requirements:

• A strong track record in trusts and foundations fundraising, including prospect research, bid writing, stewardship and reporting

• Experience strategically growing funder relationships over time and identifying new income opportunities

• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive and well-structured funding applications and reports

• Ability to understand complex programmes or technical work and translate it into compelling funding proposals

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

• Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues across different teams and representing the organisation externally

• Knowledge of grantmaking trends, with a proactive and reflective approach to improving fundraising practice

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience managing corporate partners

• Understanding of digital exclusion in the UK or globally and/or experience of working with digital inclusion or tech for good organisations

• Experience writing impactful partnership/fundraising communications for channels such as LinkedIn, social media, internal comms or blogs

• Experience of or interest in gaming fundraising

Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for mind-mapping and collaborative work at least once a week.

The salary range for this role is £35,000-£40,000 per annum, with consideration for part-time arrangements.

Purpose of the role:

The Energy Advice Coordinator will provide essential advice to people affected by spinal cord injury who are struggling with, or at risk of fuel poverty, helping them to improve their situation while recognising and responding to the unique challenges that spinal cord injury can bring. They will manage a caseload offering practical solutions, whilst developing referral pathways to connect them with relevant services to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their fuel costs.

The role will also lead the development of knowledge and skills across Back Ups’ staff and volunteer teams, developing easy to use resources and an understanding of when and how to escalate cases for more in-depth advice. They will work closely with sector charities and advice organisations to ensure a high quality of seamless support while creating a lasting legacy for people affected by spinal cord injury.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide impartial advice to householders on the telephone, at events or online group events.
• Make use of internal and external referral systems to ensure clients’ needs are met;
•  Respond to enquiries from the public, local authority staff, private and voluntary sectors or installers and, where appropriate, redirecting them to members of staff or other agencies;
• Maintain quality of advice and information as required
• Work with the wider Back Up team to create resources to support people affected by spinal cord injury, both digitally and physically.
• Work with Back Up’s services team to embed and deliver group based online advice sessions in our support groups and course modules.
• Develop and lead a programme to ensure Back Up’s services staff and volunteers develop a baseline of knowledge that enables them to identify and provide basic information to people affected by spinal cord injury around energy efficiency.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' energy needs and identify potential solutions and further sources of support through telephone-based support.
• Provide tailored advice on energy-saving measures and support schemes to the caseload.
• Work collaboratively with local authorities, energy providers, and other relevant organisations to ensure comprehensive support for those in the caseload.
• Educate people affected by spinal cord injury on energy efficiency and ways to reduce their energy consumption.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and support provided, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Support the project manager with the development, delivery, and evaluation of the energy advice project.
• To maintain up to date, working knowledge of sustainable energy matters, affordable warmth, renewable energy, water heating and usage.
• At all times, ensure that advice service and activity are in line with the requirements of the project;
• Effectively utilise existing sources of data to identify suitable opportunities to meet customers’ needs.
• Stay up to date with relevant policies, schemes, and best practices related to fuel poverty and energy efficiency
• To develop and implement partnerships and referral routes that support people affected by spinal cord injury with relevant energy advice.
• Liaise with organisations to develop partnerships by utilising appropriate resources and support mechanisms;
• Represent Back Up at various partner meetings;
• Develop and maintain effective operational partnerships with key delivery agents and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on the impact of interventions and support provided.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential:

• Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within Energy Advice or similar area.
• City & Guilds Energy Awareness 6281-01 or the ability to achieve this.
• Willingness to undertake mandatory training and development opportunities as required.
• A keen interest in energy issues and concerns currently facing energy consumers.
• An enthusiastic attitude, patience and empathy to support people with the issues they are facing and the ability to assess individual situations and provide practical and effective solutions.

• Demonstrable experience of providing Information advice and support, preferably withing the energy advice sector.

As the M365 Engineering Lead within Cadet Digital Services, you will play a central role in designing, developing and improving the CadetNET Microsoft 365 environment that supports tens of thousands of cadets and volunteers across the United Kingdom.

You will lead the M365 Squad and guide the technical direction of the CadetNET platform, ensuring it remains secure, governed correctly and aligned with Defence and public sector standards.
