Purpose of the Role

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. The postholder will provide reliable financial administration, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and ensure effective office and administrative systems are in place, with a strong emphasis on finance.

Key Responsibilities

Finance (priority area)

• Maintain accurate financial records on QuickBooks.

• Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with cashflow forecasts.

• Process invoices, expenses and reimbursements.

• Prepare draft management accounts.

• Support annual budget preparation and monitoring.

• Administer SafeHR (online payroll system) and manage pension returns.

• Maintain grant and project financial trackers.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies.

Administration & Office Management

• Maintain administrative systems and filing structures.

• Oversee supplies, equipment and IT procurement.

• Support onboarding of staff and volunteers.

• Act as first point of contact for routine enquiries.

• Arrange meetings, take minutes and support diary coordination.

• Assist the Network Coordinator in the organisation of network events and conferences as required, including the annual conference and Green Fair.

• Prepare board papers and governance documentation.

• Maintain databases and contact lists.

IT & Systems Support

• Coordinate basic IT troubleshooting and liaise with external providers.

• Maintain equipment records, licences and renewals.

• Support development of internal processes and digital tools.

Community Hire Scheme

• Coordinate the Community Hire Scheme, set up booking procedures, payments and deposits, and coordinate collections and returns.

• Organise regular maintenance of the equipment for hire.

• Liaise with and support the Hire Scheme volunteers and ensure that their expenses are paid on time.

• Promote the scheme widely and ensure that it is taken up by local residents and community groups.

Member and Network Communications

• Maintain up-to-date contact lists and mailing groups for One Newham members and partners.

• Support the production and circulation of member communications, including e-bulletins, newsletters and event invitations.

• Upload and update content on the One Newham website and/or member portals (where applicable).

• Assist with communications for forums, training sessions and network events (e.g. creating simple flyers, booking links, reminders).

• Help ensure a consistent, timely flow of information to members about opportunities, funding, training and key local developments.

Person Specification

Essential Experience and Knowledge

• Experience in a finance-focused administrative role, ideally in a charity or small organisation.

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.

• Experience maintaining financial records, processing invoices and preparing reconciliations.

• Good understanding of office administration systems and general office management.

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive) and Google apps.

• Experience maintaining contact lists or simple CRM/mailing systems.

A Rocha UK is a unique Christian nature conservation charity that mobilises Christians and churches to care for the natural world. We equip and inspire Christians to enjoy, nurture, and defend nature; and we run the Eco Church and related eco denominational schemes, such as Eco Dioceses. Our Conservation work is a core component of the project portfolio at A Rocha UK. We manage our own nature reserve at Foxearth Meadows in Essex and manage the Partners in Action programme, which consists of a network of over 60 organisations and sites managing over 20,000 acres of land for nature. The conservation team is also responsible for oversight of our scientific work and related data. Currently we are working on a trial scheme to assess climate resilient tree planting techniques at four locations around the UK.

Purpose of role:

This role will make a significant contribution to the efficient running of the Conservation Department by supporting the Head of Conservation in their leadership of the programme and the wider Conservation team in the smooth running of the Partners in Action programme. This year A Rocha UK will be undertaking a strategic review of our conservation work and the Conservation Team Administrator will play a role in supporting the admin function behind the review process. The post will play a key role in the facilitation of good communication between the Conservation Team and other departments, to ensure efficient and effective joint working. The successful candidate will possess good organisational skills, with excellent teamwork skills, and discretion in handling confidential information.

About the role. We have an opportunity for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Clinical Programmes team and support our growing portfolio of clinical research studies. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of research studies, helping to drive progress and meet key milestones.

As Clinical Research Coordinator, you will be managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the research studies. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. About the Role

• You'll be part of the Service Design & Innovation team and work alongside dedicated colleagues who are committed to improving support and outcomes for witnesses and victim/survivors across England and Wales. Job Purpose:

The Face to Face Fundraising Logistics Coordinator (FFLC) supports the delivery of MSF UK’s F2F Campaign by coordinating logistics for the Festivals and Events programme and providing dedicated logistical support to the separate Private Sites Campaign.

Reporting to the Face to Face Fundraising Festivals and Events Manager (FFFEM), the role coordinates logistical planning for Festivals and Events, including supplier liaison, bookings, equipment movements, stock control and compliance administration. The FFLC is also responsible for managing Private Sites bookings (excluding Scotland) and works closely with the Face to Face Private Sites Manager (FFPSM) to ensure the timely booking and smooth operational delivery of the Private Sites Campaign. 

The role supports liaison with festival and event organisers, venues and suppliers to ensure logistical requirements such as access, deliveries, equipment and scheduling are prepared in advance and delivered effectively. The FFLC coordinates the F2F stock across Festivals, Events and Private Sites and is accountable for the effective use of a delegated Private Sites and stock budgets, ensuring expenditure is monitored, recorded and aligned with agreed forecasts. 

Working with the FFFEM, FFPSM and the F2F Safeguarding Lead, the role ensures logistical, health & safety and safeguarding requirements are prepared ahead of activity, with all documentation completed and recorded. The FFLC also contributes to the development of the Festivals, Events and Private Sites diary by researching and progressing new opportunities, maintains regular communication to ensure issues are identified and addressed promptly.

Your role

The People and Culture Lead will be working closely with the Head of People and Culture to ensure recruitment, onboarding, employee reward, employment relations, learning and development and projects serve the long-term goals of CMS.

You are responsible for delivering professional HR service that supports our operations, vision and strategy. This applies specifically to UK contracted staff (some of whom work overseas) and providing support for volunteers (including CMS Trustees) and consultants.

What you’ll need to succeed

The People and Culture Lead role (one-year, fixed term contract, three days per week) will have proven HR experience at a business partner or officer level which includes experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and policy (and will ideally hold CIPD Level 5 accreditation).  The successful candidate will have a good understanding of UK employment law and best HR practice.
